QUOTE(ChenHo123 @ May 21 2020, 11:40 AM) I must say i suspect this thread was started because someone got angry about one of my thread. Let me just say that it was never my intention to brag(As if i get fulfilment from bragging) or make anyone angry. Just wanted to share my problem and depression because perhaps there are other people out there who is in the problem i am facing too. If my apologies to those who felt insulted by my post will calm you all down then i will gladly apologise and i will know that this is not the suitable place for me to share my problem nor ask for advice. 3.9k is high for freshie. So shut the fak up.

QUOTE(9m2w @ May 21 2020, 11:39 AM) I do know of a fresh grad on a management trainee program being paid close to 8K in a GLC. Key word here isnt race but the fact he has a MIT Sloan degree. Outliers exist. But they are rare. my friend was from mit too haha. but now hes working in google, us..

I'm not saying that salary should increase in porportion to necessities but you can't use your own time as a treshold because inflation is there. 3.9k for a start is considered quite good.
To be honest, it is not how high your salary is that matters but, it is how you manage your money and make more of it.
Spend half of it, less even better. Don't upgrade your lifestyle according to your salary. Don't rely on your salary to survive next month (no saving, no emergency money, just spend all your money and wait for the next salary).
Depression starts from jealousy/envy. Please don't layan that feeling.

I will instead try to be happy that they are successful.
