Please calculate for me.  I'm using Panasonic DC fan for the past 2 years.

My living area fan is switched on 24x7 because I have a dog in the house.

How much I saved?

LOL those who said dc ceiling fan useless must be never use inverter aircond before.

its 50% more efficient than AC, if ur house got 6 DC fan, u only pay like 3 AC fan.

example 40w * 6 = 240w. (this is highest speed for DC fan, produce 23X rpm).

the rest u calculate la, u use fan everyday, atleast 12 hours, if all eq in ur house is inverter, say example 3* 1hp inverter aircond, 1* 1.5hp inverter, 1  inverter fridge, 1 inverter washing machine, 2 inverter water heater, and 6 dc fan,
and use 5 fans, 4 aircond everyday for 8 hours, ur bill will only cost around rm250 - 300. I use all above except the dc fan, bill around rm250.

Depends on size of room. If small room, less blades better. 3 is sufficient. Fans installer expert told me wan. Small room with too many blades caused wind feedback and more instability on the swing, making noise and unstableness.

If Living room, probably 5 blades is OK.

I think the inverter term is used without knowing what it is actually meant.

The inverter in electronics means the DC voltage is inverted into AC voltage. From AC to DC it is called convert. So, the opposite of convert is invert.

In case of DC fan, it is just fan that use DC motor. Some ads get people confused with inverter. It is not an inverter fan but just DC fan 

Like you said, it is just AC to DC. However, if it is just direct AC motor with no conversion, it should be more efficient  ; but it is not due to to nature on how AC motor works.

The AC motor is works efficiently at its designed natural speed which I would say should be more efficient than DC motor, but when the AC fan speed is regulated to operate at various other speed, the efficiency drops thus makes it less efficient. Basically, the speed of an AC motor is dependent on the number of poles it has and the line frequency of the power supply, not on it’s voltage. The pole is created by AC current flowing in another set of coil winding. Since pole number is fixed in AC motor, the frequenct change is used to vary speed. That is why normally when ceiling fan is faulty, spoiled capacitor is normally the main suspect. Fan motor cannot turn 

Unlike AC motor, the DC fan is using permanent magnet to create pole. The motor the speed it regulated by controlling how much current flow through motor winding. This is why the control is precise and waste less energy.

There is no inverter involved here. The inverter is different thing. The inverter technology is used to control AC motor through PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). That is another story. This will make AC motor more efficient by being able to regulate power as required.

80w x 24 x 365 = 700kw/year = RM154 x 2 = RM308
RM308-115.28 = 192.72

inverter fan you buy RM459

fan differential RM459-RM200 = RM259
RM259-192.72 = RM66.28

u still need 7x24x1 year to start SAVING!
i hope ur fan still havent breakdown next year

because of aircond non-inverter vs inverter the consumption was really big different
its like RM120 for 1 aircon vs RM60, 1 year you might enough to pay the aircond price differential
and inverter fan u just save RM5 per month and the fan price is almost double of the ac fan
ac fan very long lasting, dc fan usually breakdown after few year, so it isnt worth at all

Around 3 years old now, using them almost everyday especially master bedroom, living room and dining room.
So far did not notice any slow down and humming noise.

Just tested my ceiling fan on highest speed (Speed = 9), no wobble and other unusual noise.

That time, I hired an handy man to help me installed those fans and other stuffs.

There is one ceiling fan that after the handy man installed, I noticed the fan has significant wobble only on high speed.
So I rearranged the blades and further tighten any screws myself, and the high speed wobble issue on that particular fan reduced.

Yours is the 4 blades or 5 blades version, 48" or 56"? The yuragi, natural wind, do you actually use them to simulate natural wind by speed up and down. I heard the more you on the easier the fan board to spoil.

I never use bayu fan before, so can't compare.
Yes I am using this fan for my house, 4 units.

Thing I like about this fan is the lowest speed of this fan is really slow, because I don't like to have much wind blows at me when I am sleeping.
