What does fan use inverter for actually??

Air conditioning and fridge use inverter because it uses variable speed to control the temperature instead of on or off mode

I have a number of DC fan at home... The expensive one are nsb fans because those popular brand like Panasonic doesn't produce those designer fan

Is just less noise and lower energy consumption. You still need aircond to cool your room if is too warm.

Ceilling fan super low consumption, dont need to worry la. you can invest in things like inverter aircond, refrigerator.. those consume alot.

Normal ceiling fan is 80W

You can buy dc fan at 30W.

100 hour is 8 unit vs 3 unit
1 unit is around 22 sen/per unit
1 day 12 hour
RM7.02 vs RM2.64
1 month differential is just around RM4.38
u buy a rm200 fan vs rm 400 fan, u need 50 month to save back the differential

blink.gif  I'm generally curious really does a DC motor consumes such little power.
Basically an Inverter works by generating DC to AC.
Then Power Source is AC, so AC to DC + capacitor then DC to AC again  rclxub.gif

Ohh power electronics

That doesn't sound right. Normally inverter is from AC source to DC. That's how the inverter is able to have more control over AC appliances.

seriously got inverter ceiling fan? the fan is spinning at constant speed unless you change the speed. don't see the need to have inverter technology

Can someone explain how inverter is power saving?

Ac > dc > ac = power saving?

Bukan ke if less steps better?

Ac> dc

Unless you're installing 1000 fans in a big factory, you're gonna have a hard time earning back the investment for the inverter.

Exactly. The only time when it is worth buying an inverter/variable-frequency drive = refrigerator and air conditioner, not so much on washing machine.

blink.gif Maybe this term has a different mechanism involved I guess?
But an Inverter is always DC to AC laugh.gif

The power semiconductor devices or power electronic converter:
- AC to DC Converter (Controlled Rectifier)
- DC to DC Converter (DC Chopper)
- AC to AC Converter (AC voltage regulator)
- DC to AC Converter (Inverter)
- Static Switches

Currently using this fan.

https://www.panasonic.com/my/consumer/air-s...an/f-m15gw.html

Parents changed to this fan after the old ones died after years of usage. xD I recently installed for my room also, very cooling. Got yuragi airflow also, basically it just imitates the wind, got air then no air, stuff like that, i usually turn that function off. xD This model is RM7xx hahaha... xD
