Same for everyone I think. Having owned a Mi Note 7 for a year previously, I'm not too hopeful on getting constant security updates for this phone laugh.gif

Redmi k30 pro are getting consistent stable update. We even got miui 12 now. Tough luck poco 😅. Perhaps they are waiting qualcomm baseline to be fully updated then they will release the firmware update for poco

Based on my experience, if software update is important to someone, I wouldn't recommend buying a Xiaomi (Global ROM) or a Huawei laugh.gif

If I had your experience like with the Note 7, I would have done the same too. But Huawei... Their software update is lacking too?

Well, my last Huawei was the P20 Pro and there was hardly any updates so my opinion may no longer be valid. But with the US ban in place now I'd imagine regular Android updates may be challenging. Will probably give HMS a try next year when it's a bit more widely adopted smile.gif

Would love to see how HMS performs after a year or two, too. 😄

What about you? What's your daily driver now? And what phone do you have in mind next?

The Poco F2 Pro... it's the only way I can evaluate a phone - make it my daily driver, hahaha. At the moment I'm not eyeing any new phones yet, can't get any good bargains at the moment. Probably the OP8 if the price comes down a bit... The 8 Pro with the culture cam will have to wait laugh.gif

I see. 8 Pro gonna take a while. Btw, since u use both iPhone and android. How do you find the battery life on iPhone relatively? Standby time better than android?

Yes, the iPhone remains better at standby than Android. In usage, they are about the same, maybe the iPhone is just slightly more power efficient but not by much. The iPhone 11 Pro Max with a battery just under 4000mAh can pretty much give me 10 hours SOT over 2 days too...

Can't achieve that on any Android with that kinda battery size smile.gif

I see. I guess android still has a long way to go to beat iPhone in terms of power management and efficiency. I always think iPhone is marginal better, but different people give different answers. But yours is the most convincing since our SOT for f2p/k30p are quite similar. Thanks for the input 😄
