I see many complaints against Wise in this FB group.

Makes me wonder if I should keep money inside my Wise account sweat.gif

nope. only keep money that u plan to use rather than use as savings acc. they have right to close your acc. It is under their tnc if your acc /activities are suspicious

I have sent about A$90k back to Msia from Aust since Jan using Wise. I only use Wise for remitting funds from Aust to Msia.

So far quite happy with Wise. Usually money is instantly received but occasionally have to wait until 12 noon for the funds to come through. Fees have gone up quite a fair bit in the last 6 months but they are still quite competitive.

So if you have a future holiday, you wouldn't put money in there now and convert to a foreign currency.

You would add money in before going for the holiday?

I haven't applied for the Wise card yet. I only plan to use Wise for money transfers. I will probably get the physical card when i go back to Sydney next as it will be posted to my Sydney address.

Meanwhile, I will probably use my BigPay for my overseas travel.

Hello Guys

Newbie here, planning on going to indonesia soon.
So I was testing out how my wise card behaves at the atm.

I did tried to test it out at our local atm. At the time of testing, My wise card had
MYR: 17.25
IDR: 49,905

However, when i checked at the atm. I only had RM5.50 each. For all 3 accounts (current, savings,cc)

Is this normal?
I did not tried to withdraw.
My question is, how do i withdraw? Do i just input the amount?

Thanks in advance

The majority of account restriction problems are typically due to receiving funds from sanctioned countries or individuals. If the source of your funds is yourself, you should be fine.

I waited for 3 weeks however the card did not come. Hence I placed an order for another card and it came in the second week. I think it's normal for it to be lost in transit.
*
how do I order another card?
I try to click "order" on the top right and it says I have already reached a limit of 1 card.
I read the help section. it asks me to wait another 7 days.
I wonder if I will be charged again for the card.

Hello, I did tried again today.

It seems we don't care what it says at the account balance screen (need to be confirmed).
I did managed to successfully cash out locally today.
And wise will auto convert your other currencies to achieve the cash out amount.

Example
I have
MYR:7.25
IDR: 49,905

I want to cash out RM20.

Wise took
MYR:7.25
IDR: 43,091
to achieve RM20.

Hope it helps other wisers in this thread. Thanks

keep your SGD in Wise Jar, so Wise won't touch those SGD unless you withdraw out of Jar

There should be a card replacement option if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, there is a timeframe to for replacement cards as well. Probably you should check it after 7 days.

No, there will be no additional charges if you did not receive your first card.

so if i go to Mauritius to withdraw from an atm there, i will need to take out my SGD jar to SGD account?

Will it convert straight from SGD to Mauritius?

Or it will convert SGD to MYR to Mauritius?

Thank sifu.

So I got an account. The physical card pending delivery.

I have 3 virtual cards.

One of the card I added into google pay.

Kejap boleh, kejap tak boleh. Sometimes have to do 3 attempts, then only can.

So unreliable.

Is it suppose to be like that in the beginning? Or I must activate physical card for it to function properly?

Or it's just me and my phone?
