You transfer money into wise account and pay things using it. Better rate than bank but mind you that it’s a third-party transaction so it’ll become a blame game if something happens.

I wish to know this as well, but more to the withdrawal using Wise card in abroad through ATM.
Say there is this feature before travelling you may open the country currency saving and exchange to the destination's currency you wish to travel. So right after doing so, wise only provide two-time withdrawal free of charge if the figure withdraw is (in £200) can't find in Malaysia RM. If over three-time withdrawal and the figure is over £200, the next figure will be charge of 0.5GBP + 1.75% of total withdrawal amount. This is the only fee it charged. or will there still be currency conversion happen? Just saw the Malaysia's Fees : Malaysia 1,000 MYR, 5 MYR, 1.75% But what if I'm travelling to Taiwan and Taiwan is not shown in the list. This post has been edited by hjh87: Jan 27 2024, 11:16 PM |

For those who managed to invite someone to join Wise, and allowed them to claim a free physical card, may I know if your referral page here (https://wise.com/invite), under the "They get" section, shows "A fee-free transfer up to MYR 2,500 when they sign up with your link." or something else?
![]() Would like to check before sending an invite. Thanks! This post has been edited by siaush: Jan 27 2024, 11:57 PM |

The RM15 fee will make the exchange rate lebih kurang with money changer rate . That why I say bring cash then big purchase use wise card saja .Based on your experience, do you feel that their conversion rate is still better than exchanging money in your own country through money changer? I brought 5000twd exchanged here - 14.95rm/100twd and withdraw 5000twd there - 14.80rm/100twd (after charges) but ya, u could lock the currency by converting when target currency weak my JPY earned quite a lot when I converted it when its very low (better than FD) QUOTE(billylks @ Jan 28 2024, 12:38 AM) now that u mentioned it, no charges woprobably difference between those generic ATM at airport vs bank ATM outside or got the free withdrawal from wise |

QUOTE(UserU @ Jan 27 2024, 11:46 PM) i withdrawed at Thailand got charged THB220, not sure how the free withdrawal works. first time withdrawal as well.to answer TS answer, good if you can buy the currency at low price then use at later time in contrast with using credit card where the final statement is following current market price of conversion. |

QUOTE(ghoss @ Jan 28 2024, 02:48 AM) My only issue is always with maybank2u to upload money. Everything was smooth until the last step where it mentioned it was safe to close the web page. Closed the page and wise was still showing the rolling icon -- translation was not completed! I had to wait some minutes, terminated wise app and reopened it and then the amount was shown. One time the translation was not completed for hours until I had to contact the customer service. The next day baru duit masuk. Seriously.... |

If I have cash in SGD account,
1. if I withdraw SGD in Singapore’s ATM, will I still incur a transaction fee if I withdraw less than RM1000? 2. If I pay in SGD in a Singapore shop using the card, does it incur transaction fees? This post has been edited by Maestrol: Jan 28 2024, 07:48 AM |
