well, your are partly correct on that. You see, every weekend teams are given let say 8 set of tyres(i forgot how many tyres they are allowed on race weekend) to use for the whole race weekend; Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The 8 set consist of hard and softer compund (white) tyres. So how do the team know if the tyres is brand new or have been used before of the same compound?

the answer is, if you noticed, theres a numbering on the side wall of tyre like B8 written in green, which, the driver cant see.

Ferrari big bosses want Hamilton
Link ~ http://www.planetf1.com

QUOTE
Ferrari have reportedly been told to swoop for Lewis Hamilton by their bosses Fiat.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Italian car manufacturer want their F1 team to make a 17million raid on McLaren for the young British sensation.

Hamilton once again showed off his breathtaking talent by extending his lead in the title race with victory in Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix.

But afterwards all the talk was of the rift between him and McLaren team-mate Fernando Alonso.

The Spaniard's future appears to be in doubt, but the Mirror claims it's Hamilton that could be the man being targeted for a move.

It claims Fiat are hoping Ferrari can capitalise on the internal strife at McLaren to lure Hamilton away to Maranello.

The British rookie is earning just 250,000 in his first season in Formula One, and the Italian giants would be happy to make him one of the world's highest-paid sportsmen.

Current Ferrari number one Kimi Raikkonen rakes in 22million per year, but Hamilton could even top that.

Depends on whether Hamilton wants to join or not.

Mclaren pay him chicken feet

So who is Ferrari planning to drop?

Perhaps Ferrari will swap Kimi Raikonnen with Hamilton

I don't think McLaren will let him go. Also, Kimi is a happier man at Ferrari here.

QUOTE(verx @ Aug 7 2007, 01:58 PM)
Alonso has been letting his emotions get the better of him this year. I'm kind of a hot-headed person myself so i can sympathize with him. What Lewis did wasn't just a mistake. If I were in Alonso's shoes i probably would have done the same. Besides the rule of impeding a driver is very grey anyway as nowhere is it mentioned that there is a limit of time a driver should take to exit out of the pits. I'm not in any way defending what Alonso did was right. All i'm saying is alot of ppl have been very quick to blame Alonso for everything when the main culprit here was Lewis.
*
lol, not to put it that way. Its true Alonso wasn't the only cause to that problem, but he surely did contributed to it. Had he not reacted that way, he would have been just fine. Like I've mention earlier, impeding a driver is wrong, regardless of the motivation. But I find it unacceptable when someone does that to a team mate.

As far as I know about the investigation, they listen to all communication between the team and the driver, so I believe they concluded things from there. All they need is just to listen to the team telling Alonso to go but he refuse. looking at how Ron vented his anger at Alonso's trainer, I'm sure the team didnt just sit there silently watching alonso not moving. Maybe, just a guess.

But anyway Alonso is not a happy man in McLaren. I'd be surprise he stays there next year. Renault would be a better place for him. His few years there, he's much happier than he is now.

ALL HAIL KIMI !!!!!!!! laugh.gif

yesyesyes... im a kimi-alonso-mclaren fan.

why i said alonso haters couldnt accept the fact that alonso beaten schumi ? some of them are schumi fans, being beaten last year still tastes sour i guess. so they chose to hate alonso. additionally, alonso's cocky attitude, makes it a good reason to hate him. no logical ? i know a few who are like this, not from this forum. (ok. this does not apply to all alonso haters alright) smile.gif.

oh about hamilton & dennis f word battle. that's interesting, fun to read at least laugh.gif i told u guys before, champions are not nice people. (lewis is no rookie, he's a "champion in the making") laugh.gif

McLaren has sponsored his career since he was a boy. It will be one of the biggest betrayals in the sport if he joins Ferrari. All these rumours are unfounded if u ask me.

MCLAREN TELLS ALONSO HE CAN LEAVE

http://planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3213_2645179,00.html

Now Ferrari are told by Fiat to get Lewis, and Alonso seems like he will leave.

If Lewis moves to Ferrari, Massa would be out, so I bet Massa would move to Mclaren, if Alonso move to BMW, most probably Heidfeld will move to Mclaren. If Alonso moves to BMW, Mclaren just need to find another driver, no way they are going to take Fishichella

Added on August 7, 2007, 8:04 pmPerhaps Mclaren take back Hakkinen who has been trying to get back into the team, then Schumacher gatal tangan, comes back as well

If not mistaken, BMW already confirmed they 2008 racers, correct me if i'm wrong.
I bet Alonso will return to Renault.
