Why we say pasat but didn't follow HK say kai si. Malaysia want to claim originality like indon la

It comes from "pasar" straight forward. As for Malay and Indon cultures, they are over-lapped. Similar as Yuan Dynasty and Mongol Empire/history.

So just laugh when Indon ppl bash Malay for copying when they start the internet war.

She is born in Tianjin (Northern region; near Beijing). Moved to HK at 17 yo. Work in TVB for 8 years.

You can easily spot her accent.

I also know the 1st gen immigrants from Shanghai to HK, many who are tailors, had strong accent too.

It is similar to the 1st gen of Latins, Mexicans who are off the boat to USA. The 2nd gen speaks better English than the 1st gen, obviously.

Still, no one beats the diva Faye Wong on non-native speaking Canto. She is considered as one of the quick learners of Canto.

Is HK professional Cantonese same with mandarin for the script?
*
In HK, the informal or colloquial is slightly different than Standard Chinese. Go watch their gaming live streams.

But in formal or professional writing, they tend to use Standard Chinese, much like in TW.

As for script or writing, HK and TW use traditional Chinese and PRC, SG, MY use simplified Chinese.
