There are, basically, thousands of languages in PRC. Most ppl do not know it. Every region has its own languages. Call whatever you like, dialect or language.

Basically, they are born with at least 2 languages ~ regional language and Mandarin Chinese. If someone is not speaking 2 languages, it means his elders have given up on it.

Nope. HK Cantonese language is NOT contaminated by Shanghainese words/elements. But I have seen older HK Shanghainese tailors speak Cantonese with heavy accent.
The Shanghainese tailors moved to HK in droves back then. Shanghainese tailor is the father of modern Cheongsam.

They all integrated into HK culture and Cantonese culture.

There is a street in HK called Hokkien Street.

Niki Chow has Shanghainese ancestry. Alex Fong has Yunnanese ancestry.
Wikipedia used to include their "ancestry" entries... Jackie Chan, Daniel Wu. The trolls, anti-PRC elements, yellow camp of HK are deleting it. They want "localization".

Nope. It is part of Malay language. Professional terms is Austronesian language.
Just like Cantonese Chinese, Mandarin Chinese and many more are part of Chinese language. Professional terms is Sino-Tibetan language.
