the worst one is those translated from malay, other canto ppl wont even know the meaning suma - semua pannai - pandai mata - mata-mata (polis) mataliu - polis station sotong - sotong whereas those derived from other chinese dialects still ok lok yu - lok sui (from hakka) chin/man - lui (from hakka) po lo - wong lai (from hokkien) wan - liu (from hakka) |
