Dear All,

Anyone purchase Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Mijia 1C?

Would like to seek your kind sharing on the day to day usage experience.

Is it better than roborock S5?

I check online, Mijia 1C do not have LIDAR function.

IS LIDAR very essential for smart planning for robot vacuum cleaning function?

Thanks:)

I haven't get mine also.. planning to buy at authorized xiaomi store in shopee online platform..
Currently they only sold Mijia 1C model.. dun dare to buy from other sellers..
Other model such as roborock S5, mijia 1S etc not available now in the store..
Xiaowa Mi Smart robot should be in Roborock Model indicated below:

Roborock Xiaowa Series that includes E25/E35(same model, different colors) and E35. These are Gyroscope-guided robots that can mop and sweep, have decent suction power and long battery life. Actually one of the best in its price range.

Roborock S5/S55/S51/S50, which is the same model but with different color options. The Roborock S50 is white, S51 - rose-gold, S55 - black. (the best-selling model, everyone probably heard about it)

Roborock S6 (its high-end robot vacuum that is the quietest in the model line, supports no-go lines, zoned cleaning, and room cleaning)

Roborock S4 (has the same features as the S6 but lacks mopping and has reduced climbing ability of 15 mm/0.6 in instead of 20 mm/0.8in )

Roborock S5 Max (the latest robot vacuum with the most mopping features such as a bigger water container, no-mop zones, scheduling for mopping, etc.)

(taken from reddit source)

BTW any experience you can share using Xiaowa Mi Smart robot so far?

Very bad experience with this lol I own this one before sold and buy xiaomi robot
Agree with the mop function, and I felt like sensor in Haier robots have problem identifying obstacles keep on sweeping the same place over and over again

2 sweepers always tangled with my carpet and switched off automatically sweat.gif
The good thing is, that robot will charge itself up haha

Theres a review in this forum for roborock s50.. which written very detailed and well thought out.

I bought the s55 last Aug around 1.5k and I'm very satisfied with it.

They have updated the robot recently and now can choose different zone / rooms

Attached Image

I have only use the mopping function twice.. because mopping need me to be there so i prefer not to use it..

I just got mine last week for RM750 from shoppee, whilst i feel the vacuum and mop function is overrall good, the downside is that the robot keeps bumping into things and has no map saving options or "no go zone" settings, hence still need to supervise...but for the price, i think it aint bad since lidar function robots easily cost rm1.2k above...

mopping wise, the water tank suffice for whole single floor of 1500 squarefeet

Roborock S5 also support no-go lines, zoned cleaning, and room cleaning.

My opinion with LIDAR is better, optimist battery and effectiveness area cleaning.
With Gyroscope, some spots or room maybe miss out during vacuum.

I have 2 units S50. And recently just purchase another 1C for my in law house. If tight budget, can consider 1C since it can vacuum & mop as good as S50 for half price. But the downsides, the navigation and battery life not as good as s50.

Another issue to think about, 1C is slimmer model and hence it can reach below sofa. S50 cannot

Thnks for the feedback.. i read on reddit recently that 1C were plagued with bugs after some users update their units to the latest firmware..some were totally shutdown and cannot run after update..
Do you encounter any issues surfaced online recently?

just get the S5. It may be old but there are lots of parts and consumables available. Just get the Global version and you wont have problems using or updating it in Malaysia.

The S5 has almost everything the newer model has. Actually the differences between all the models is very minute and most you can do without. Dont get the 1C which has no LIDAR - I will never consider any robots without LIDAR after having use one.

You dont need to buy from so-called authorised dealers. Some local sellers here like DASH, iGadgets, etc offers 1 year warranty. You can find them at Lazada or Shopee. I bought mine with only 1 month warranty yet I have been using one for more than a year now.

I have the Roborock S50 which I purchased about 2 years ago. Frankly, it is the best cleaning appliance I had ever purchased. It vacuums very well.. doesn't get stuck often and is easy to maintain. The mopping function is simplistic but adequate for basic cleaning.

This device has been a real time saver. These days, I rarely need to vacuum and mop the house (except the corners and the staircase) as Roborock does it for me.

if you can afford S6 then you should look at S5 Max instead.
Dont think you can get S6 for Rm1600. You probably looking at S6 Pure

I have a 1st generation Xiaowa bought 2yrs ago. Now works for about 35mins and then sudden stop altogether. I have to manually take it back to the charger station. Suspect the battery need to be replaced- battery pack is 2600mah.
Can I use a 5200mah battery pack as replacement? Cost rm210.
Is it worth it since this vacuum is very basic and runs a random pattern only.

I bought it bcos it got lidar (and cheaper compare to other model with similar spec).

With lidar it have proper navigation and never miss any spot.

Totally worth it.

1c saya ada problem water tank.

Bila guna dia akan mengecut sampai tank jadi nipis. Air jadi terhalang keluar.

Guna bersihkan 1 rumah pun hanya 1/4 dari air tu keluar. 3/4 masih berbaki sbb tak dapat keluar tank mengecut.

Bila i buka getah tempat masukkan air tu, tank ok balik sbb udara masuk.

Nampak macam air dalam tank disedut tapi takde udara masuk menyebabkan tank mengecut.

Siapa ada alami problem yg sama? Boleh tolong bagi idea untuk selesaikan?

maybe need to change the two tiny filters
also try look for a tiny hole at the water tank. maybe it is block. Air is suppose to go in from this hole, if it is block, the water wont come out

Why? Most of the advanced features of LIDAR equipped robots (no-go zone, virtual wall, zoned cleaning) are in xiaomi 1c robot.

yeah, it works awesome for me after i made a smart map. I also did not get any issue with the mop. It can use 100% of the water. I got the new model that got no air hole on the mop rubber water plug.

It have issues with dilatation tho. So it wont stop if the dilatation is pretty small (e.g. bedroom to bathroom).

(jump to 3:07)

After it made a smart map, i simply put virtual walls on bathroom doors.

Dunno how much it is in Malaysia. In aliexpress it starts from 190 USD. In Indonesia it goes from 2.8 million IDR.

Cheapest robots with similar capabilities are 100-200 usd more expensive.

I was looking at these models. So, I bought the 1C during 9.9 sales for my own home (double story with around 50m^2 area per floor). Still experimenting with it. Need to let it clean a few rounds only can create smart map. On standard vacuum power and mop, the cleaning ability is like B+. A+ will be me sweeping and mopping (I mop twice per area).

It's usable but don't expect squeaky clean floor. Will try stronger suction next time. For a non LiDAR vacuum it's not bad at all.

I will bring this to my hometown to check if it can clean the house (old type landed house which is damn long). If the 1C not managed to finish cleaning in a single full charge, I will look at S5 Max.

hi all,

I bought my Xiaomi Mijia 1C in March. It now stopped working - it says collision sensor is stuck. I tried open up and it worked for a while and is now not working again.

I bought from Shopee from a vendor in Selangor. I am based in Penang and didn't want to post it back if possible.

does anyone know anyone can repair 1C in Penang?

I bought my Xiaomi Mijia 1C in March. It now stopped working - it says collision sensor is stuck. I tried open up and it worked for a while and is now not working again.

I bought from Shopee from a vendor in Selangor. I am based in Penang and didn't want to post it back if possible.

does anyone know anyone can repair 1C in Penang?
*
Better contact the shopee vendor? Should have warranty right..

Using the 1c since the beginning of March. Not too bad. My house is a 1,200sft condo.

It maneuvers around furniture easily but can't really compare as my house has quite a minimalist design.

For me, the floors are squeaky clean and because i don't have any carpets, it works really well.

The only downside is that it can't get the corners perfectly.

It's one of the strongest I think.
But the mopping function probably use too little water. I'm not sure.
Anyway, surprisingly, it manages to cover my parent's home without much issue. Impressive for a budget vacuum.

Bought it during 9.9 sale. not too bad for the price I think. Mostly using the vacuum function only, it does vacuum quite well. Pickup a lot of cat and human hair lol. My wife is happy with it, that's the important thing. Everything else is irrelevant XD

I looking for one also, 1c probably cost only RM 600-700 on 11.11. Also considering mi robot (2016 gen) which can get below RM 700 from china but not sure how common is lidar problems, which is expensive to fix . Mijia 1s is 2nd gen mi robot with more functions. Have you bought yours?

1c no lidar, but it have camera. It will knock into wall/furniture for first time, after that it will remember and slow down. It does have map capability, can select area to clean etc.

Yes mi robot was the first n oldest robot by xiaomi, its top got circle pop up with lidar. Lidar robot navigation is more accurate, won't knock into wall, easier to travel between tight space like table n chairs. 1c is different with mi robot, 1c is flat on top with only tiny camera.

1c mopping only have minimal effect from what i learn, still need to mop yourself if there are stains. For budget below 1k mijia 1c is one of the best value comparing to others, xiaomi app better n more updates too. If my budget above 1k i would prefer roborock s5 max over deebot.

Yes i mainly looking at mijia 1c at shopee/lazada, if taobao got good deals maybe i buy mi robot there.
airbot/dibea i didn't survey much, because less popular brands harder to find spare sparts etc.
deebots below 1000 like cen540 and dd35 are popular too and easy to find spare parts. Their suction power are much weaker than mijia so maybe not as clean. Cen540 is already 4th gen and proven not much problems, if im on tight budget i definitely pick this over mijia 1c/g1.
Roborock sell only high end robots, and their after sale service / customers service is really good from reviews (not sure Malaysia one). Xiaomi is bang for bucks but service is relied on your seller, because there is no official store outside of china.

Hi, have you found the right item and put in your shopping cart yet ?

I have a Mi Robot (2016) at my own home, which has LDS / LIDAR function (has map, no mopping, no virtual wall in app). And my in-law's place they have a Roborock S5 which is almost identical with the Mi Robot but has mopping function plus virtual wall in app.

The thing is my in-law wants to get another new robot for his house, I thought of helping him to get a Mijia 1C for the ground floor, and they can use the Roborock on 1st floor. The old ppl does not want to carry the big robot everyday up and down stairs like he is doing now. They are at 70's yes, it's safer to have 2 robot in this case. Question is, 1C good enough for ground floor which has sofa, dinning table and chairs ?

Why I thought about 1C is also because of the slim body, it can go under sofa easily. The Roborock is a bit too thick, my in-law needs to add some ugly buffer on this furniture now.

How many years you have been using mi robot 2016? Any lds or other problems?

1c is just budget option compared to roborock, no lds means it will bang the furniture more often and take longer to finish the same job. Some elder people are more sensitive with noises. Also keep in mind 1c only have 2400mah battery, if the house is big it will have to recharge to finish the job.

I think there is no need to find deals and add cart now, just go shopee lazada at 12am sharp and search mijia 1c/xiaomi 1c, as some sellers doesn't publish price before 12am. Most of the deals are 689-699 in lazada with laztreat - RM55 = RM 634-644 (if vouchers are as advertised). Cheapest i can find on shopee is RM 659 https://shopee.com.my/product/25902192/4420...45-1604984181.9

Ya just basic mop dragging a wet cloth around, if your floor is dirty it might spread it even further. if want better mop can go for mijia mop pro using Y pattern mop, or even better go for roborock models which can clean stains.

I have both the S6 MaxV and the 1C. Bought days apart around the 27th of August 2020.

The S6 MaxV with LIDAR is much superior (of course costs a lot more as well) and maps out the rooms much faster. The laser maps out the room without needing to travel all the way to the end to find the wall.
The vacuuming and mopping are good and consistent and the obstacle avoidance is better and water tank is bigger. Can do 2 or 3 rounds before I need to fill up water.
For bigger houses, would recommend this. I do not have carpets so cannot comment on this part. Also a lot of intelligent features that youtube reviews cover, so will not go into that.
Also support for multiple floor maps, so that saves time as the unit recognizes floors already mapped and does not need to do the mapping everytime.

Experience with 1C, much cheaper and bought it for my hard flooring to try out since much cheaper. Much slower to map as needs to traverse to the end of the wall to sense it.
Water tank much smaller but enough to mop a few rooms with the lowest or medium setting. However, after 4 weeks, I noticed that the water does not come out well and mopping is not effective.
However, after 4 weeks, I noticed that the water doe not come out well and mopping is not effective.
Probably the water pump is not working or air inlet is blocked somehow. Need to get it looked at but haven't had the time.
Vacuuming is still decent and picks up a lot of dust and debris. However, I find it is susceptible to have hair entangled in the side brush and rollers. Something that has not happened with the S6 MaxV.

[Updated] The issue with water not coming out is that the air inlet valve is blocked somehow. Not sure how that can happen. Need to open the water tank inlet to let release the trapped air pressure.

My experience with both is that it is worth spend the difference, if you can afford it, to get the features and reliability.
The S6 MaxV has been vacuuming and mopping every night without fail since I purchased and does a real good job on the hard marble floor.
The 1C mopping feature failed after just 4 weeks, albeit temporarily until I figured out the problem, and this also I did not schedule mopping every day and without obstacle avoidance have to make sure the floors are clear.
For the price, I think it does a decent job.

I would think the S5 Max would perform similarly to the S6 MaxV except without the cameras for the AI based object recognition.
Hope that helps.

Water not coming out is common problem for 1c, not sure if someone came up with a fix. That's why many people only use it for vacuum and still worth the money for its intelligent and vacuum power.

Figured out that it is the air inlet valve being blocked somehow. It is on the inside of the water inlet cover.
So have to open the inlet cover to release the trapped pressure. Just found that out when trying to figure out the fault.
Yes for just vacuuming and for being able to recharge itself and continue, it is worth it for the price.

No at the end I dare not buy 1C as the cleaning is a bit inferior, especially where the robot is supposed to work sometimes in the early morning or evening when the ambient is quite dim. I watched some video and noticed that 1C does not perform too well at dark area and at sensing split floor height => means it might fall off stairs.

So at the end I go for the Mi Robot with LDS / LIDAR (dry only), still good price at RM970 with 10% shopee coins. I think this is similar to 1S.

Cheapest/common lidar u can get xiaomi mi robot (2016) or xiaomi mijia mop pro, mijia 1s. Better option go for roborock.

Lidar is not a must, lidar have its pros and cons. Pros - accurate mapping, obstacles avoidance. Cons - noisy, taller machine, easier to get error/expensive to repair. You can check roborock reddit/youtube and see how common is error 1 lds problem.

Visual/camera might be as good as lidar one day, i assume it is a newer technology in robot vacuum. Visual+AI can do a lot more than lidar, just take a look at irobot roomba with camera but no lds and able to identify dirt and make sure your floor is clean. Robot without camera will run over a dog poop etc and spread all over your house but preventable using visual+AI.

Hi guys,
I just bought the 1C vacuum mop and tried it several times today. Was RM654 on shopee on 11.11, reduced from RM799. The suction power was good enough and picked up all the hair from my cats rclxms.gif . What I like was the mapping done and the 'virtual walls' I can set for it to avoid certain areas (see attached pic). The mopping is oklah, I will still hv to take care of any stains/cat vomit myself. The container is not as big as I would hv liked. I have set it to vacuum daily but I really don't see the container lasting more than a couple of days before clogging up completely. I do appreciate that it doesn't hit furniture that hard and it doesn't seem to get stuck under the table/chairs. It can also go up and over mats and slight changes in floor levels and that is really nice. The full charge can clean/mop my nearly 1100 sq ft area and more! Overall, considering the price, I'm happy. Would love to have one where the garbage container and water tank is 10x bigger - so I can go away for a week without worries. Hahaha!

Wait few years until your 1c spoiled then u can consider something like ecovacs t8 plus. Models with auto empty dustbin will become much cheaper in few years i guess.

New xiaomi high end robot without lidar mijia 1t released rm1k+. Using visual technology+AI for mapping and better obstacles identification. Camera have better life expectancy than lidar and also slimmer, quieter robot. This is xiaomi first visual dependant robot so if their software isn't mature yet there might be some fcuk ups just like when roborock introduced their s6 maxv visual+ AI, but can be improved/fixed through updates.

I wanted to confirm if it’s wifi signal issue that’s causing the delay for detection

How long it took to create/complete the virtual map?
Was it after 1 whole sweep of your home or several times?
Did you have to like monitor it to make sure it goes to each room in your house the first time (just in case if it misses)

Map created after 3-5 complete jobs, don't move it or order it to recharge , just let it do its job and recharge itself and finish the remaining area. Follow it for first time make sure it doesn't fall down stairs, remove cables on floor, remove chairs to let it create map faster. Make sure no water on floor or robot might damaged, a little wet nevermind.

Half true, it can still clean in dark depends on its gyroscope but weaker obstacles identification performance with its camera. Some robot without lds have extra lights to work at night.

You mean haven't ship out? Some sellers oversold from their ready stock in flash sale, which is common.

But shopee fked up big too, coupon server crash at 12am made all ppl can't use free shipping and seller coupon. Price still similar with lazada dasher but can less almost rm20 again if with coupons.

Itself won't avoid carpet, but u can use app to avoid area. So u better use vacuum function only until the map created, then u can set avoid area in map.

Can't change pattern, why need use remote? Mijia 1c with visual navigation normally won't miss a spot in S pattern. From my observation, it will come back for 2-3 times if it thinks it miss a spot, so it is ok to leave it without monitoring.

got 1 since feb this year, below is my thought:

1. ecosystem - easily integrated with xiaomi home (if you are into it), just make sure the version you get is global or malaysia, otherwise other devices wont appear in your app due to different region.

2. Cost - definitely there's alot robot vacuum in the market, some might even cheaper than this, your call

3. Functionality - got map management (still in beta), dont have intelligent way of avoiding stuff, in the end you still need to move small obstacle otherwise it gonna stuck

4. Cleaning power - definitely powerfull, no issue on carpet* (depends on thickness), downside is if you using with mop it will vacuum and mop the carpet together (might be good or bad depending on your reason why need to wet the carpet)

5. Reparability - this is one of the reason why i bought it, parts easily available online from both our local market as well as international, lots of tutorial online

6. Downside - battery on turbo in my case only cover 300+ sqft in one charge, no lidar support, so it always bump first and avoid later. Need good lighting to operate better but still function. In my case, all of these got no issue

7. Support - didnt test this one yet, dont think xiaomi (mijia) malaysia will even bother since this product is not officially launch here

8. Conclusion - quite satisfied with what they offer, just need to make sure place this away from small kids from play with them. As long as it do the task 80% better than me while saving my time consider good investment.

No issue so far, for the water tank depends on what solution you put inside, if it may yield any residue better clean every time you finish using it.
Easy way is always do cleanup after using.

I am planning on buying a robot vacuum to do sweeping job only. No need the mopping function. Glad if you guys can share some reliable brands for this.

Thanks 😉

Initially, budget is around Rm500-1.5k 😊..but from the reading here, as i can get a robot with sweep+mop function at around rm1.5k, guess i can get a better bargain with only sweep function at around rm1k? hopefully.

I will just do the mopping myself once a week😅

Budget lidar vacuum xiaomi mi robot (2016) can get rm700+ from china or rm850+ from local, can only save 1 map. Or upgraded version lidar+visual xiaomi mijia 1s rm1k+ from local, can save multiple maps.

Less intelligent visual only mijia 1c is worth it also if you use only vacuum, smaller battery and save only 1 map. Can get RM 600-700 locally, anything cheaper than mijia 1c you can only get dumb gyroscope robot, which bang bang bang a lot on your furnitures.

Theres a review in this forum for roborock s50.. which written very detailed and well thought out.

I bought the s55 last Aug around 1.5k and I'm very satisfied with it.

I have only use the mopping function twice.. because mopping need me to be there so i prefer not to use it..
*
I didnt realise, the mop function its way better and its more cleaner than just the vacuum function. Lol

Have been using only mop function since June 2020.

Every morning fill the water container, clean the mopping cloth and let it run. Came back in the noon, clean the cloth and let it run again.

So i only like mop the house once/twice a month with other house chores cleaning..

Heard lots of good reviews of roborock, i suppose it can clean most of the stains if used daily right? And water tank much better than mijia 1c/mop pro which have water leaking problem, cannot leave there after mop

Initially, budget is around Rm500-1.5k 😊..but from the reading here, as i can get a robot with sweep+mop function at around rm1.5k, guess i can get a better bargain with only sweep function at around rm1k? hopefully.

I will just do the mopping myself once a week😅

can get roborock or deebot .....with your budget 1.5k

Mine not leaking, instructions and app always say remove mop when charging because afraid leaking. Mijia mop pro leaking is more common due to bad design, but the mopping is good.

Hi all,
Just got my 1C. Overall I'm satisfied with its performance.
But anyone can share how to define area?
Like living room, bedroom, etc?

Thanks!

Can't do that, need xiaomi lidar robot only can. Mijia 1c, g1 and mi robot 2016 only can save 1 map.

Hi..i've reread all replies on this topic to understand better and i've search online for a comparison between the xiaomi mijia 1s and mijia 1c that @andrwss suggest (btw, thanks andrwss).

Mijia 1s does fulfill my need for the sweeping only purpose, but the downside is that the bin capacity is smaller as compared to mijia 1c 😅.
If im not mistaken, someone has post about buying the mijia 1s here, have yet to ask how well it perform.
Btw, here's the link to my finding👇

xiaomi mijia 1s vs 1c comparison

And since the price of mijia 1s is around rm1k, which is quite close to roborock s5 pricing, some comparison between these two here👇

xiaomi mijia 1s vs roborock s5

Might just go with mijia 1s if i can get it @<rm1k..

only read the last 2 pages,

i own a couple of roborock s5 max
bought for my parents and my other places.

the cheaper xiaomis work just as good, lacking some features but its main functions, tracking i would say on par.

tho, i remember the 1c has one brush on one side, which was a turn off for me.

still waiting for xiaomi to bring the dustbin feature like the roomba irbot. the goal is to have less work.

For now, i'll just eyeing for xiaomi mijia 1s..lets see if can get it at a good price..not in a rush, will still compare the specs

@Blinklime....guess roborock s5max performs really well for you to own a couple of it 👍

Decision decision....
Sorry all for the double posting tho..still try to adapt

Dustbin size ia sufficient, my mijia 1c dustbin is only 5-10% full after each cleanup. Roborock is great, but it is hard to find older models locally now. Their Malaysia official store only sell s5 max and above now which cost rm1300+ during sales. S5 is gonna cost around rm1300 too, have to check the seller authentic if it is only RM 1k+. Xiaomi mi robot 2016 and mijia 1s are developed by roborock if not mistaken, other models are by xiaomi themselves.

I see most of the mijia 1s are oos locally since 11.11 sale lol, but it is easy to buy one from china for RM 900+.

1c only have 1 brush, just like s5 max do. If you mean 1 brush on each side that will be mijia g1, which have 2 brushes.

Yes i think it is easy for a tech giant like xiaomi to develop autobin feature. Final form maybe something like narwal with spinning mop+auto wash/dry mop, plus autobin.

i seen some reviews before, the suction power matters more than the side brush/bristle. n ofc the center main spinning brush.

Those side brushes are for the corners n baseboard. But my thinking is 2 is better than 1. biggrin.gif
To sweep more things some in.

I went with higher end model cuz i hv mutifloors n quite a big house. But the cheaper ones will do same job. I wanted the features n gaya.
Still have to do self cleaning/mopping from time to time.

anyone cuba any window cleaning robot? drool.gif drool.gif

All xiaomi models have to remove water tank when charging, especially mop pro because the water tank is inside the robot, 1c still ok because water tank is outside the robot. Xiaomi mop pro is very good in mopping, but its water tank have design flaw causing leak.

Roborock robots is better in quality and less/no leaking problem, can leave water tank on when charging. Mean you can schedule it to mop everyday when you're not at home, xiaomi robot only can mop when you're at home.

2 brushes is not necessary better, since most of the high end robots only have 1 brush. I also see some 2 brushes robots doing pinball on debris from actual working video.

Lucky we bought it 11.11 for cheapest price, this round lazada mostly rm739-rm60 voucher = rm679. Even dasher no stock lol, shipping from china gg expensive now, everything price raised.

Overall satisfied with performance, quite clean with mop. If no mop will miss more spots because the vacuum actually only cover the middle of robot. Cons is sometime water tank can drop if collided with furniture, so far only happen once.

Would appreciate if some mijia 1c users will share experience buying spare parts like brushes and mop cloth etc, which seller selling best price/quality. Cheers.

Very useful with the help of app, after setting everything right like avoided area, virtual wall etc I would say it have done 90% of the manual sweep+mop work. I don't sweep/mop my house anymore, except stains in the kitchen.

No robot is perfect even roborock s5 max/s6 maxv, deebot t8/aivi. They may finish work up to 95% or even more but you still need to do a little manual cleaning.

How many m2 is your house? Already turn on experimental feature?

I got my smart map 100% after 1 full clean up, but my house small only. I moved charging base and reset map few times too, no problem creating map everytime. Try stack/remove your chairs/small things on the floor to let robot navigate easier.

Vacuum power mostly the same, better robot mopping a little better since some have vibration mop etc. Mijia 1c is totally worth every cent now, until auto empty bin/auto wash mop robot become affordable in the future.

If move base by a little should be no problem for robot to recognize the place. But i moved my charging base by a lot to a corner, because i found that the robot only need 0.1m clear surrounding from charging base (manual stated need 0.5m clear surrounding)

Biggest different is 1c have camera on top which help a lot in navigation, prevent getting stuck, easy to return base etc. 1c may be the cheapest/most reliable robot that offer camera in this price range. Imo there is no point to buy g1(and all other cheaper robots without camera) if it requires additional attention, which defeat the purpose of having a robot. You may still consider g1 if your house have simple layout with minimal furniture. A normal house with some furnitures is better fit with 1c, and lidar robot is needed for house with a lot furnitures.

G1 also have water tank inside the robot which have more cons than pros, water leaking issue, difficult to refill water without getting dust tank wet etc

Yes top one is camera, not sure how wide angle it is to see the surrounding but it help a lot in navigation. Some robot have camera at front/side, some have 2 or more camera. Some camera is for dtof counting distance like lidar, some is for AI objects recognition. Vacuum robot technology is still very much evolving everyday.

Hi All,

Roborock S50

Anyone of you guys encountered that the robot won't charge.

Mine will charge till 20% ++ then it will remain the same.

What will be the possible problem? Battery faulty? Or charging dock faulty?

Thanks

Try clean the charging contact with alcohol swab or just clean it with a dry cloth.

I have encounter this multiple times and even once send back for warranty claim but they didn't find any thing that is faulty.

Are you using global/my or china version robot? If using global/my u can connect to mihome Malaysia server and region. There is slight delay in loading map and robot position normally, like 5-10 seconds.

Hi all, some update on the Mi robot I bought during 11.11. It took close to 4 weeks to arrive and my doubt on the service level of the seller is cleared. Highly recommended as his price is quite good, with 10% shopee coins too.

Nice, can use virtual wall/restricted area in mihome? China unit right? Also consider this model and 1c before. Actually 1c only camera on top need light to work better, all other sensors and gyroscope work in dark like other robots.

Unfortunately there's no virtual wall feature for this robot. For me it's ok as I set it to run the whole ground floor of my house everyday, and just closed the access door to kitchen so it won't roll up the soft floor matt.

It has LIDAR / LDS which is the same as Roborock models, can almost do 90% of what a Roborock can do but at 50-60% of the price. I compared this one and Mijia 1C before I purchase, the camera of 1C and need to be rather bright for the robot to detect split level turned me off. (from watching youtube video)

Yes gen 1 xiaomi is designed by roborock, even their accessories are very similar. 1c camera is an addition for navigation planning, they didn't remove the drop sensors at bottom, if 1c will drop from stairs in dark other robot also will. Maybe the video u watch is telling wrong information...

Can but very ineffective cleaning in such environment. Top notch robot like ecovacs t8 3D/AI or roborock s6 maxv AI will be needed to identify complex environment like that.

New update has virtual wall (line) and no go zone (red box)
Overall impress with visual and mapping of the house. It take 2 pass to map the house, first pass is basic vacuum then second pass is to confirm all the wall and edges.

Then once is complete the map is saved and you can put in virtual wall and no go zone

Overall the vacuum manage to follow the zone even in poorly lit room and under the cabinet so not a problem also my vacuum start vacuum morning so not any issue on dark room or something

Hi guys, was actually looking for a mopping robot, but most of them seem to have inferior mapping.
Question, is this 1C able to mop properly? My main worry is it just push a wet cloth around. Does it remove stains in your average home properly? My house have kids so need almost daily vacuum and mop, a bit tiring. I have a Dyson so the vacuum part can be completed in 10 minutes, but mopping takes much longer, hence trying to find a mopping robot.
Edit:
I was actually looking at iLife w400, but the build quality seems hit-and-miss and the mapping is not that good.
Irobot braava, is similar to mi 1C, as it is just pushing a wet cloth around too.

As far as I know Robot Vac with Mop will do an OK job will not remove deep stain but it can reduce human mopping say like my home I only mop once a week and the robot will do daily vacuum and mop

Also the Mop attachment only recommend plain water (Pure H2o) as putting detergent may clogged the motor inside so you do soap mop once a week and the robot do daily vacuum and mop so far satisfied with it.

This is my second robot with mop the first is moneual robot-Korea which not many know but it is a dumb robot... this 1C much intelligent as it has mapping and moping is controlled by internal pump... yeah it is OK

Got the mi robot vacuum (1st gen) 2 years ago. Actually had a mini discussion with @idoblu at his thread. Now wanna get another one. Thinking of 1c but haven’t pulled the trigger yet cos 3000 sq ft. Dont know if Lidar makes a huge difference and the battery can tahan.

Mi robot vacuum first gen (5200 mah) takes 50 mins to clean my 1000sq ft apartment. Battery drain is about 30%. Just worried that 1c will clean, go back recharge and resume cleaning.

Any contenders for sub rm1k or not? Or should i go ecovacs T8 / roborock AI haha. I don’t feel that it’s worth spending that much more for AI tbh.

1c can remove light stain, xiaomi mop pro can remove more stain with back n forth mopping pattern, ecovacs have vibrating mop, roborock have pressured mop, narwal have rotating polishing mop with auto wash. But doesn't matter how good the robot is, you still gotta top up a little of manual mopping.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

From my experience, 1c clean 1m2 per minute on average, slightly slower than mi robot because lacking lidar. Battery consumed around 60% an hour on standard mode, 5200mah is definitely better for big place like yours. Al robot will work better if you can spend comfortably since they can get clever and cleaverer with updates.

Firmware 3.5.8_1096? With experimental feature on or off? Region set to? I used to have smart map before this after, then after update just now i lost my map and doing cleanup doesn't seem to track my robot or remap.

I saw a YouTube video, the owner put floor detergent on the mop pad itself, pretty clever I think..

After contemplating between this and Roborock s5 max, decide to get this instead. Can’t justify spend so much for a toy. Hope it works for me

I think the best for below rm1k is the iLife w400 with its two bucket water and rotating brush, unfortunately the build quality and mapping is really bad...

Dont put Detergent as it will spoil the motor or the pump... once clogged it cost RM100 ya

Plain water good enough for daily mop... I dont feel oily on my floor laaa so once a week sometime 2 week I do mop with soap...

Below 1K (RM720) for a Robot Vac with Mapping, mopping and vacuum plus integrate with MiHome app and Google Home / Google Assistant I cannot ask for more...

Oooo You got the Europe early release firmware... anyway the firmware has been pulled.

This firmware has the ability to partition rooms.... the next "big" thing....

did you try reseting the map and let the robot draw again

Oh, i tried switching to europe region also can't create map, must be problematic that's why pulled.

Ya, when i try reset map many time, reset robot, change region etc all can't work. Even after hard reset the firmware still same. Only can work again if flash factory firmware but no idea how.

Finally fixed my robot problem (smart map gone) after updating to 3.5.8_1096 after 3 days. New experimental feature have auto room partitions (cons can't edit partition) just like xiaomi mop pro. Map become colors for different partitions and u can select which partition you want to clean. Robot path are now shown in more detailed line. Obstacles are also shown in map now.

Last time when i get it was from sg region. You will probably lose current map after updating because it will draw new map with partitions.

Anyone know anyone selling this type of full coverage mop cloth? So far only found this seller selling it. A little thinner than original mop but fit perfectly and clean better from my experience. Haven't try the new 5 legs rubber type side brush.

Jz get the mi 1c, after a few days pretty satisfied with it..
1. Captured quite a bit of dust with silent mode even after I vacuum with my Dyson, I must have missed a few spots..
2. Mopping function is a bit troublesome so I guess I will probably use it for few times only.
3. This is meant to reduce house dust, not to replace weekly chore I think.
4. The dust bin is not designed properly I think, maybe due to lack of space. Dust will always end up on the filter itself, so it will get clogged up after 2 or 3 cleaning cycles. A Dyson filter will hardly have any dust at all. The cyclone will separate all the dust before it reaches the first cloth filter.
5. Not sure how good is mopping, you know it's dragging the cloth, but it don't produce the squeaky clean effect compare to normal mopping.

As a conclusion, I think it's okay to purchase if you have rm700+ to play around and not mind too much.. my biggest concern is how long will it last, the local warranty is almost useless as it's repaired by local sellers, no official warranty by Mi.

Firmware 3.5.8_1096? With experimental feature on or off? Region set to? I used to have smart map before this after, then after update just now i lost my map and doing cleanup doesn't seem to track my robot or remap.

I’m having same issue, all my map gone and having issue to connect to Wi-Fi as well. I created a new Wi-Fi SSID and it works but not the map.

No worries. Install mihome on another phone, select Malaysia region, reset robot, connect robot to wifi. Start cleanup and you should be able to create a new smart map.

OR

(haven't try but may work) use same phone, clear mihome cache, uninstall mihome, reinstall mihome, create new account, Malaysia region, reset robot, connect robot.

Does anyone know the difference between these two model numbers?

STYTJ01ZHM
SKV4093GL

I just wanna confirm which one can claim warranty at Mi service centre, and can use region set to Malaysia. Not China Mainland. All my Xiaomi products are global products.

For the Robot Vacuum 1C Chinese version, can the region be set to Malaysia and the robot function like normal? I’m under the impression that the region has to be set to China Mainland.

Mine STYTJ01ZHM can connect to Malaysia server, manual come in many languages. Some say this is Chinese version but seller root it into global version selling for better price.

Different seller selling different product, better confirm with your seller before buying. Mine can only claim warranty with my seller, can't go mi service centre.

Has anyone had any experience with the vacuum barrier tape? I’ve just ordered the Mi Vacuum 1C, and I’d like to prevent it from falling down the stairs. How do people avoid that from happening? Would there be an alternative to the Mi Vacuum Barrier tape, or perhaps a cheaper version which works just as well? Thanks!

No worry ya, even the cheapest robot RM 50 one doesn't fall from stairs, unless the sensor blocked/malfunction. For mijia 1c you can easily set virtual wall/no go zone using mihome app, so there is no need for barrier tape at all (it is only for old robot when app isn't advanced yet). Follow your robot for first few time to make sure it doesn't fall/stuck, to be safe.

Hi guys,

I received my Mija 1C few days ago and so far impressed with the value of the money spent.

My question is can we have 2 maps for the same unit, so I can alternate between my ground and 1st floor every other day?

Can't, multiple map saving only available for higher end model like xiaomi mop pro or above.

Initial you may want to build some barrier if up stairs... incase vacuum decided to suicide... also buy magnetic tape (Virtual wall tape)

once the vacuum complete mapping the area + rooms the vacuum will create the area map and rooms, then you can draw virtual wall or no go zone (eg near stairs)

you can assign vacuum to certain room or vacuum all

Vacuum all the vacuum will sweep the main hall first before going to individual room

Basically around 3 times of full run. It will store the map and split by zone. From that time onwards, I'll pick whichever the zone that I want to clean. Can select multi zone to clean up. Make sure updates your firmware to latest version..

Second screenshot show it clean 3 zone those I've selected.. cause some time you might close certain door and if you just run full cleanup, and bot can't access to that zone and it will trigger you that particular zone route get blocked based on last clean. So I'll prefer to get bot clean by zone

Don't need to poke it, just make sure no water inside the hole, use cloth or tissue. Don't care about water outlet hole, wet the mop cloth before install. If can't fix maybe have to ask your supplier for support.

To be safe if you put upstairs

1. Buy Xiaomi robot magnetic wall barrier (A brown magnetic tape)
2. use the app go to the 3 dot upper right -> Turn on "Experimental feature" (Map saving mode)
3. Let the robot MOP upstairs with your supervision and with Temporary barrier
4. The robot will start building the map, will take 2-3 runs before MAP is build
5. once MAP is ready under "MAP MANAGEMENT"
6. Start adding software virtual wall

For up stairs where the chance of suicide is there I will put virtual and magnetic virtual wall to be safe... dont want the robot start suiciding

although xiaomi robot has build in drop sensors and stuff sometime I notice it will overshot the ledge

The robot is building the map, need to let it finish run and map your house first. Make sure there is nothing stuck the robot than it should be fine.

Hi guy I got the robot as well and I'm not sure how to use. The zone seems weird and it's keep mop and vacuum at the same spot.

Got any guidance how to use?

normally how much water it uses per cleaning? Mine is like 1/3 per tank for 70m2. Seems very less water used.

After few surveys finally decide to go with xiaomi 1t model STYTJ02HZM (aka xiaomi mop 2 pro+), due to bigger battery capacity and multiple maps support smile.gif

How was your mop 2 pro+? are you using it now can give some review? Saw the suction is quite high 3000Pa.
Considering this or 6maxv

Satisfied with its suction and battery, able to do vacuum and mop for an 50m2 area (total 100m2) and still have 1/3 battery left after that. Usually just set the suction at silent/standard level is enough to clean my house, rarely use strong/turbo since I don't have carpet. Rarely collide with wall or furniture also.

For mop function don't expect it will do a perfect job if there's dry stains on your floor, will need to clean self manually. Another thing is that I might made a mistake about saying this model has multiple maps function. So far I did 2 full vacuum on same area and able to perform room edit & virtual wall function but it doesn't show "save map" or "map list" option, not sure if it need to do few more runs, will update if it make changes later.

I am using vacuum mop P series. There is a multi map function on the latest firmware 3.5.8 i think that has been released in China and India, but i am still stuck at 3.5.3 saying its already up to date. Does anyone have the same problem? The multi map function is really useful. Not sure if we can update the firmware manually.

Yes, very little water used for me as well even on high level. Maybe someone familiar with programming can mod the water usage using robot vacuum mod like valetudo.

If really want it you may try to switch region to china server etc, but will reset your map.

I have the 1c vacuum. Anyone facing this issue - vacuum cannot return to the dock after cleaning? I have used it for 3-4 months and recently this issue has started happening.

I have tried to reset the map, turned off Map Saving and turning it on again, letting the robot clean completely by itself to rebuild the map. Dock has never been shifted during the cleaning process. Sensors (dock and vacuum) wiped clean. On firmware 3.5.8_1096.

Presently, it cannot return to the dock after completing a clean. However, when i manually press the Dock button, it is miraculously able to return to the dock to charge. So i have to let it finish cleaning, let it try to find its way home and fail. Then i press the Dock button, it will slowly make its way back to the dock.

Planning to get Roborock S6MaxV but not sure to choose it or the new Xiaomi Lydsto R1.

Is Xiaomi Lydsto R1 support malaysia server?

Thanks for your advice, i just kept running a full clean everyday and now it’s fine. It fixed itself lol. Yup you’re right cleaning everything up helps a lot. I even used a vacuum to manually suck the dust away from the robot vacuum. Still can’t identify the true root cause

Thanks for your tip. One issue i noticed is once you flip it over, the robot forgets its coordinates and have to restart its cleaning. Does that happen to you?

I am using Roborock S7+ and it is a waste of money cuz in the end you still need to clean the robot also and throw the dust away manually.

So then I went for Dreame V12 and i can cover all the corners myself and a lot more cheaper.

Is that normal for 1C?
When lifted, it just resets cleaning map everytime
I try to clear up everything on the floor that might block its movement or stuck
What about more expensive robot vacuum when it’s lifted?
Same behavior?

The original mi vacuum robot (without mop) doesn’t lose its memory. 1c does if you dont put it back in the exact location. I only have those two

I have Mi Robot Vacuum and it works perfectly! It builds a map of the room, first outlines the perimeter of the area, then cleans it inside in zigzags, then goes to mark the next piece. This vacuum cleaner and https://www.emop.co.uk/kensington-chelsea-cleaner are my salvation cause me and my wife work a lot and don't have time to clean up our house.

I have the Xiaomi Mop G1, for those who want to buy Xiaomi Mop, better get 1C. 1G's navigation very cacat sometimes. The machine having tough time finding its home. bangwall.gif Also, if you press return to dock during cleaning. The system automatically change back to Cleaning mode instead of Return to Dock.

However, I bought for only less than RM500, the cleaning is efficient and effective. So not consider a fail purchase.

Well, didn't drive much after pandemic, so my onr has been lying there for quite a while lol. After using my floor really much cleaner and less dusty feel, as long as it doesn't clog my water tank it is ok. I just use very little onr each time, one bottle can probably fill few hundred times

1) Tried on / off. Not working
2) Tried reset map. Not working
3) Tried hard reset. Not working
4) Shut off for a night, turn on next morning. Somehow it acts normal and able to complete the full course.
5) Keep it powered, the next day try again.. start acting up. on/off still the same. After charged, turn off for the day.
6) Next day, power up and try again. back to normal and finish up properly.

so right now, can't set automation for it. Need to shut it off after the battery charged and turn it on when want to use it.

Refer the the attached image for sample of its movements. Keeps on moving in circle, stopping on a straight line even when there is no obstacle..

Definitely abnormal, either software problem like others above, or hardware problem. To fix hardware problems u can flip it over and clean throughly all the wheels, main brush, side brush, wipe clean the sensors etc and try again.

Anyone here had problems with firmware 3.5.8_1110? I updated mine to that firmware last night and it went crazy. Started going round in circles, doing curved patterns, suddenly reversing backwards and spinning on the spot. If anyone has experienced this, you can try resetting the map. seems to have solved it for me. Just sharing.

My firmware now is 3.5.8.1107 and the vacuum goes haywire, doesn't clean and draw the map correctly. Tried reset map not working, perhaps try update to 3.5.8_1110.

Your robot with 3.5.8_1110 working fine (after reset)?

Thank you.

any opinion between choosing Mijia 1C or iLife A10s/L100? The ilife has LIDAR, which Mijia doesnt have. Other specs like suction power (2000 vs 2500), battery life, mop is quite similar.

Both cost the same price at rm750.

Don't go for other brands, choose only reliable brand like xiaomi, roborock and ecovacs. Read more user feedback like in taobao and you know you shouldn't bet your money on ilife and etc newer brands.

Don't go for newer brands like roidmi, all those new brands come with good spec like lidar, auto bin etc but low price compared to reliable old brand sounds too good to be true. For long term use u need something reliable and quality assured. Even in lowyat kopitiam here u can see people complaining about their roidmi. To research all those china new brands robot should explore in taobao where u can see thousands sales with user feedback, long term use feedback, q&a etc.

Updated to 4.1.8_1118
- reset map.
- success run, tried few more times, all also success run.. seem all issue resolved, working great now and accurately return to charging dock.

i have a question regarding maps. Let's say im a cheapskate and want to use a robot for 2 different houses (1 layout each house), the map will save just the 1st house right?

And for the 2nd house, it will still run without saving the map, albeit slower to clean the house? Or will it overwrite 1st map?

This model only save 1 map. If you bring to new place, it still work/run and will create map than it is up to you want to save n overwrite the existing map or not.

I am using Roborock S7+ and it is a waste of money cuz in the end you still need to clean the robot also and throw the dust away manually.

So then I went for Dreame V12 and i can cover all the corners myself and a lot more cheaper.

One question. Why didn't you go for Dream T30? Heard the suction better. I am planning to get Dreame vacuum cleaners.

So far any issue since using?

App you can change language to English.

CN version and Global version, should be referring the server that the machine is connecting to. If you want to manage all in one app, have to make sure all of it is connecting to same server (Eg: Global) also it may impact the version of the machine firmware.

Thnx.

Btw, what don u mean by 'manage all in one app"? Can u elaborate pls?

And is the version important (CN vs Global)?

For me, its a robotic vacuum cleaner, so if it does the work today(with current version), I'll just stick to it and dont need a newer version, kan?
Its not like im moving home monthly.....i gona stay at same place for years. So, all the map memory remained lah, and 1c doing the same job daily.

I want to buy this robot but now got new model 2C. Anybody bought it yet?

It's tiring to mop and I'm planning to buy the robot to specifically mop the kitchen and under the bed, but seems like 1C is a bit unstable?

Anyone here had problems with firmware 3.5.8_1110? I updated mine to that firmware last night and it went crazy. Started going round in circles, doing curved patterns, suddenly reversing backwards and spinning on the spot. If anyone has experienced this, you can try resetting the map. seems to have solved it for me. Just sharing.

I have this issue today. Just go to apps and reset the maps only?

It seems the problem resolved by itself. The robot no longer frequently reverse. You can try reset the robot and unpair and reinstall app. That was the thing I did.

My Mi Robot 1C keep colliding with all my furnitures despite I have turn on my lights.

All the chairs, table legs and sofa legs all crashed by the robot every time while vacuum. Reset the maps 2 times already. Nothing changed.

feels like the robot doesn’t even slow down and straight away crash to the furniture.
My next robot vacuum should have LIDAR.

Since this is the first time

Just want to share with you all the solution I used to fix clogged water tank due to use of disinfectant/detergent.

I figured out my tank is clogged and notice that it might because the tank motor is not powerful enough (when running with robot) to push the blockage out from the hole, so I fill up the tank with some clean water first and then get a 12V dc battery and manual connect to water tank using a cable, obviously the motor is running better and manage to release water again. Repeat to run the tank motor until you feel the blockage has been cleared.

Tested the mop function and it's working again, save money from buying a new water tank wink.gif

Guys,

I bought this unit a while back and just opened the box today. Only found out that its China version. I can't connect to my mi home as my app is set to Malaysia. I've tried to change to Chinese mainland but it failed to connect.

Any way to connect the unit to the app?

After 2 years, I think either the battery is degraded to the point of no return or the charging dock is faulty. It's no longer being charged. Is there anyone here with similar experience?

I brought it from Dasher (Lazada) so I can send to them for repair. I think you can DIY by following YouTube video on how to change battery

So which sensor actually went faulty bro?
I'm having this issue currently, it always move in reverse. Even manual control also unable to control the movement as if like it detecting a wall in front
