I'm using realms C3, it was smooth and playing games like mobile legend also buttery smooth. No lag whatsoever. I was surprised the LCD screen look bright n sharp & can beat phone with over 1000 segment. Plus the battery very strong....5000mah. so hard to kill it...

I was planning to buy one to try 90Hz screen but stopped after I watched a youtube video about the soc throttling while playing pubg. I think they should have used 10nm or lower in 2020.

QUOTE(megakeygen_zero @ Apr 4 2020, 03:20 PM) no proper cooling system, but powerful GPU. Well, I dont think it is a very powerful GPU. It is defintely up to date though. It uses the same Mali G76 GPU that Samsung (S10 & Note 10) and Huawei (P30 and Mate30) used but with less core. It only has 4 cores compared to 10 cores on Kirin 980 (I think its 16 cores with Kirin990) and 12 cores on Exynos 9820 (S10/Note10).even today realme is still selling realme 6 for rm799 @ lazada sale is low I think. wrong time to release Samsung already moved on to G77 and possibly custom GPU based on RDNA next year. Huawei still using G76 for whatever reason with a much higher GPU cores count. Attached the video from Redmi Note8 Pro which also uses G90T soc and you'll get a better picture. I also use my phone to play 王者荣耀 which seem not affected by throttling but I cannot commit since it showed apparent throttling with PUBG although I dont play that game. Yeah, I had the Realme 5 and the 5000mAh battery also couldn't be killed. It's a pity this 6 didn't feature the same 5000mAh battery - would have been good to have more juice with the 90hz refresh rate display.QUOTE(Captain89 @ Apr 4 2020, 02:56 PM) QUOTE(megakeygen_zero @ Apr 4 2020, 03:20 PM) no proper cooling system, but powerful GPU. I guess they'll price it at RM799 on special occasions, like Lazada's Birthday Sale previously on 27/3 and today on 4/4. This will generally be a bad year to release any phone, I think.even today realme is still selling realme 6 for rm799 @ lazada sale is low I think. wrong time to release |

U Mobile users cannot use both of these phones because they don't have 4G band 7.
Same goes with many oppo and vivo phones. I don't understand why they can't give 4G band 7 to their phones like Xiaomi and Redmi did since U Mobile also one of the biggest telcos in Malaysia. |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Apr 5 2020, 11:17 AM) Huh then why even bother selling in Malaysia then... Because can still use for Maxis, DiGi and Celcom. Only U Mobile uses Band 7 LTE which is not supported. So I guess they still cover most of the market as U Mobile subscribers are the fewest amongst the four telcos.btw it's official Malaysia units right? Not import set? Yes, official Malaysia sets. |

Plus, gsmarena doesn't always show the right spec. If you go to Aliexpress, there's always two different model for all Realme phones; China version and global version which support band 7. Ours are global version obviously.Yes, official Malaysia sets. |

From the information, realme C3 global version really has 4G band 7. If the information are accurate, realme 6, realme 6 Pro, realme 5 and realme 5 Pro do not have 4G band 7. The information on their official website may not accurate too. |

The Band 7 issue is quite some time already talked about
yes, some phone manufacturers skip Band7 because in china they mostly uses Band40 and Band41 and recently adding into Band 3 Their Telco doeant use Band7 so it is only logical to just focus on Band40/41 but U-Mobile also have gps problem with xiaomi phones in the past hopefully u-mobile will do something about this because they are the only one using Band 7.. |

In Malaysia, only TM Unifi has 4G TDD LTE and 4G FDD LTE license. |

Guys. Any occasional stuttering issues with this Realme 6 (G90T) as experienced by the Redmi Note 8 Pro (gsmarena long term review)? Wonder if its because of the G90T SoC or something else. Thanks

Bought the Realme 6 during the Lazada Flash Sale. Can confirm that Malaysian version has Band 7. So all telco is supported with Realme 6. Owning the phone for 10 days, my thoughts are The Best: The Photography After getting the latest update, the photography is the best in class. The night mode even rivals that of the Mi 9T, even the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and easily beats the Redmi Note 9S out of the water. As for daylight shots, it is not overly exposed and highly saturated(Finally, realme listens to its customers). But if you still want those highly saturated shots for Instagram, you can turn on Chroma Boost to spice up the photo. TLDR: Best photos for under RM1000 Pros: Feels light in hand despite the battery The charging surprised me(100% in an hour) Got me through a day with 25%-35% at the end of the day 90Hz display Playing Brawl Stars and Minecraft PE is a blast on this phone Cons: The volume buttons is on the left No NFC, IR blaster Shooting videos are unstable compared to the Redmi Note 9S and Galaxy M31. Verdict: If you want a gaming and camera phone(for photos only) for under RM1000, this is the phone for you. |

QUOTE(attw @ Apr 5 2020, 11:32 PM) Thanks bro, I read it. Can’t wait to receive mine. Luckily for you, with the fast charging, I did the unimaginable. How’s the battery life while idle? Any peculiar standby battery drain? I left my phone uncharged overnight for the first time since 2010. After I had slept 8 hours, the phone's battery drained from 30% to 26%. I kept using it for YouTube until I had finished my breakfast(about 15%), and kept it charging while I was showering. By the time I had showered, the phone was at 77%, surprising to say the most. Edit: Difference of battery drain between 60Hz and 90Hz is not significant. I tried using 60Hz one day and 90Hz for the other, I ended the day with 35% on the 60Hz and 34% on the 90Hz. Upon unboxing the phone, the phone presets to 60Hz, so I suggest to switch it to 90Hz, you will notice the difference in responsiveness when swiping through Instagram, WhatsApp and Chrome. Thanks for the input! QUOTE(Khuan0813 @ Apr 6 2020, 08:00 AM) After the MCO, you go to the realme or oppo store and check the box of the realme 6 Pro you want to buy, see whether it has 4G band 7 or not. Hahaha, I think this is unnecessary since we have two users here already confirmed the MY set supports Band 7 as per photos of the phone boxes. If got, buy. If don't have, no buy. |

Ya, I know the model number and processor aren't the same, but my point is by all accounts, the 6 Pro is superior in specs to the 6 so I will be very surprised if there are certain bands supported by the 6 that won't be supported by the 6 Pro.realme 6 uses a processor from MediaTek while realme 6 Pro uses Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. |

Based on reviews by gsmarena, the non pro version seems to trump the pro version when it comes to battery life. This is something i do not expect considering 12nm vs 8nm manufacturing process.
Damn i should have gone for Realme 6 instead of RN9S as the main reason for the decision was the battery capacity. |

using the redmi k30 with 120hz screen, for me on my eyes it is slightly faster
but if u go do it side by side baru boleh nampak beza using it by itself saja u takkan perasan punya 90hz tu smooth sgt hehe but it is good to see realme giving a good fight as alternative.. people have options now |

Actually agree.I would lean towards a SD chip over MediaTek, always. But the other hardware wins for the Realme 6 makes it hard for the N9S to make a strong case for itself. |

GSMArena has just dropped their review of the Realme 6 Pro here.
An excerpt from the Performance test section: - "The Realme 6 Pro doesn't demonstrate any significant advantage over the Realme 6 in terms of performance. Having said that, the Pro posted consistent results in benchmarks run after run and barely warmed up in the process." So it's confirmed that the SD will run cooler than the Mediatek. QUOTE(NF2M @ Apr 7 2020, 02:52 PM) 1. Does it have stutter problems? Yes.2. How frequent are the stutters? I would say 3 times a week. But the stutter do sour the 90Hz experience a bit. Because when I'm blazing through my feed, the stutter feels like I'm going back to 60Hz. 3. Does it overheat? Surprisingly the processor doesn't overheat during gaming, it overheats when I video call for 2 hours with my colleague or taking slo-mo videos and full 64MP photos with the camera. |

Hahaha, thanks bro. I'm just bored out of my skull right now due to the MCO but didn't want to blow thousands on a flagship so was deciding between trying this or the Redmi Note 9S. Anyways, no la, I'm not YouTube material, hahaha.... but I will post my review here when I'm done with the phone. will await your review of the RM6 QUOTE(NF2M @ Apr 10 2020, 10:49 PM) Yes it is. Surprisingly the phone feels premium to hold even though the back is plastic. Nice weight to it too. Miles better than the predecessor, Realme 5. |

Ya, 5000mAh and a low res display - the same combination that made the Realme 5 a battery beast as well. I also think RM699 will probably be the RRP but I think they will sell it for RM599, otherwise it’d be hard to buy that over the Realme 6 (when offered at RM799) which is better in every way except for the battery life. |

Realme OS seems to take a few cues from Oxygen OS, albeit it still has more bloat here and there. In my opinion it's far more fluid than MIUI for me, but that could just be my individual preference. Also the 90hz display could be helping with that too And between the SAMSUNG Galaxy S10 Lite and realme 6 loud speaker, which one is better? Both speakers are more or less the same, in the sense that they are both not good, hahaha. But if I had to pick one, maybe the S10 Lite wins by a hair. |

I think his experience with 60hz on the Realme is still smoother than on the RN9S. This is quite a fair and balanced comparison. * Note: I can't find NFC on my phone though.. |

QUOTE(Punish @ Apr 13 2020, 10:09 AM) I think it can, bro. I hit 8 hours SOT with 25% battery left before calling it a day yesterday. To me, that's not a fair or balanced usage because I typically don't use that much screen time in a day if wasn't for the MCO For now though, I can safely say the phone will get you through one day of full usage, 8 hours SOT with 90hz refresh rate is not a problem. And that's pretty good Also, amazingly the battery drains just 1% overnight (8 hours) with all settings left on. I'm a satisfied customer so far |

Exactly, the experience of using this phone is hardly midrange at all! That said, there won't be any premium cases available for this phone like Element Case, Spigen or Otterbox, hahaha. I just placed an order for a RM7 China case. The stock case is pretty robust though, I think it will provide adequate protection for now. This post has been edited by attw: Apr 13 2020, 02:00 PM |

Okay, PSA for every Realme 6 user.
If you're like me and put your phone on 90Hz all day, you'll be shocked to see why you feel your phone slows down when you hit 20%. It's because the phone automatically turns on Power Saving Mode, and a function of power saving mode is setting the screen to 60Hz. (Thus, making the phone feel slower) And after you charge it to 100%, it doesn't turn off Power Saving Mode, instead it continues to set the phone at 60Hz. And I had to manually turn back on the 90Hz. So, to prevent your phone slowing down, I suggest going to Settings and set the Power Saving Mode to turn on at 5%, and to turn off when the phone is charged until 60%. Do note that this is not thermal throttling, just that default settings emphasize more on battery life than performance. |

It won't be enabled after that, or will it still do so automatically? If you're like me and put your phone on 90Hz all day, you'll be shocked to see why you feel your phone slows down when you hit 20%. QUOTE(attw @ Apr 13 2020, 08:46 PM) So far so good bro, only my third full day with it so far. Will post my first impressions here in a day or two Nice.. I see your battery stats is super impressive for a 90hz screen phone. With 30W charger, can top up super fast too. Hope your review can cover the following:- - Night mode photography - Color OS, bloatwares. - Charging time. Can't wait for your review. |

QUOTE(GTA5 @ Apr 14 2020, 07:59 PM) Nice.. Ya bro, that surprised me too, since I was running it on 90hz full time and it’s just a 4300mAh battery. The Mediatek processor seems to be very efficient during standby. Just 1% battery drain over 8 hours at night with all settings left on (but with Do Not Disturb activated). I’ll try to take some night shots tomorrow but so far the camera gets the job done, but is by no means spectacular. As for charging, I’m currently not using the 30W charger it comes with, so theoretically I can’t measure how fast it charges, but probably ASoulNamedLeo can comment on that. I slow charge all my phones using a 3rd party 12W adapter and an auto-disconnect cable.I see your battery stats is super impressive for a 90hz screen phone. QUOTE(nightzstar @ Apr 14 2020, 08:15 PM) I don’t game bro, so I haven’t experience any stutters. So far all is smooth - 90hz all the way and no hiccups so far. Will post my initial impressions tomorrow, after 3 full days of use now. |

So far all is smooth - 90hz all the way and no hiccups so far. Will post my initial impressions tomorrow, after 3 full days of use now. For starters, the charging time will be faster, going from 0% to 60% in half an hour, and reaching 97% another half hour later. Is this life-changing? Yup, I used to top up my old phone every night before sleep. But with the Realme 6, I top it up in the the morning while I go into my morning shower. Is the life-changing for good or for worse? I don't know, but having that reassurance of me charging my phone for 30 minutes and using it for the whole day calms me down. My verdict on charging: Even if you don't use the 30W charger in the box, the battery will already last you a day, but having that charger is icing on the cake. Plus with more manufacturers adopting fast charging, the Realme 6 becomes more futureproof as it can support up to 30W, compared to the Redmi Note 9S 18W and Samsung Galaxy M31 15W. |

QUOTE(attw @ Apr 14 2020, 11:08 PM) Don't worry, wait until 30W becomes the norm, then you'll experience magnetic 30W experience. 😄But I do suggest trying out the in box 30W charger for maybe a day. This post has been edited by ASoulNamedLeo: Apr 14 2020, 11:33 PM |

I think Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S can fully charge the 5020mAh battery from 15% within 2 hours. QUOTE(Khuan0813 @ Apr 15 2020, 04:01 AM) QUOTE(GTA5 @ Apr 15 2020, 07:14 AM) Well, two reasons. Firstly, fast charging generates more heat and heat in general is bad for the battery as it will cause the battery to degrade faster than normal charging. That said though, the degradation happens quite slowly over time and you probably only start to notice after a year or more. I typically don’t keep my Android phones long enough for the battery to degrade, but I can assure the prospective buyer of my phones that the phone was well taken care of. It’s probably more to do with my own OCD, hahaha...Secondly, I do a lot of travelling for work (well at least I did before the MCO) so I like packing light. I usually just carry my iPad adapter (12W) and two cables, one lightning and one USB-C, both with auto-disconnect features upon full charge. That way I can slow charge overnight if I get back to the hotel too late. So usually I don’t take out the charger or the cable from my phone box unless it’s an emergency or if someone needs to borrow a spare charger or cable. Another OCD behaviour I have is that I always charge to 100% even though some people say that does more damage to the battery too |

My Realme 6 Review - 72+ hours later
As promised guys, here's my first impressions of the Realme 6. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « All in all, the Realme 6 is a pretty easy phone to recommend, especially if you get the 4/128GB variant at RM799 as I did. great review as always. so battery life and processor is good. camera no complaints for the price in fact maybe even better than expected yes please test against the 11 pro max. as you say for RM799 with 90hz is really worth only thing do you feel 4G is enough should be minimum 6G? most android phones going crazy with their RAM highest now at 12G in that sense fruit does a good job with 4G and before that even their 2G still holds strong now bro, I await your Satu campur Lapan pro review This post has been edited by clocksmolder: Apr 15 2020, 02:07 PM |

QUOTE(clocksmolder @ Apr 15 2020, 02:06 PM) great review as always. Hahaha, thanks bro, but I do better typing words than saying them, hahaha.. Anyways, yes, the phone really is value for money at RM799. The 4GB RAM is adequate for my usage but that is also because not only do I not play games but also because I typically don't keep apps running in the background (another OCD of mine). Everything is buttery smooth for now. Yeah, I think my office server only has 8GB of RAM so I don't need 12GB on my phone so battery life and processor is good. camera no complaints for the price in fact maybe even better than expected yes please test against the 11 pro max. as you say for RM799 with 90hz is really worth only thing do you feel 4G is enough should be minimum 6G? most android phones going crazy with their RAM highest now at 12G in that sense fruit does a good job with 4G and before that even their 2G still holds strong now bro, I await your Satu campur Lapan pro review OP8 yes, must try, but don't know when. As for the iPhone, I still wanna test the 11 first before going down to the 9/SE 2020, hahaha! Cheers! This post has been edited by attw: Apr 15 2020, 03:15 PM |

QUOTE(Khuan0813 @ Apr 16 2020, 05:31 PM) MediaTek is cheating in benchmark test : So they're cheating by enabling "Performance Mode" in benchmarks, no wonder I got an update yesterday from Realme adding a new feature called High Performance Mode, guess MediaTek is going the Kirin route but instead of Huawei calling it GPU Turbo, MediaTek is now calling it High Performance Mode. Also heard Xiaomi users getting the High Performance Mode too, wonder if High Performance Mode affects battery life?https://www.androidauthority.com/mediatek-b...eating-1104212/ https://www.androidauthority.com/qualcomm-m...eating-1106501/ https://technave.com/gadget/Over-50-smartph...ting-17936.html |

QUOTE(attw @ Apr 16 2020, 09:31 PM) Of course, and the G80 is slightly better than the G70 while significantly worse than the G90T. The only thing that the Realme 6i wins is probably battery life, but since it compromises the 90Hz, the 30W fast charging, the camera and the performance. The Realme 6 is obviously the better buy. |

QUOTE(attw @ Apr 17 2020, 09:24 AM) We only get one variant of the Realme 6 here in Malaysia at the moment bro, the 4/128GB model. Perhaps the Realme 6 Pro scheduled to launch next month might have higher RAM and NFC. thanks bro..i dont know, using honor 8x with its poor memory management, i really wished r6 would come with atleast 6gb ram tu justify the purchase. considering r5 pro but it is still priced at rm999 now looking at mi 9t at rm1k.. what do you think comparing these two? r6 vs mi 9t (globalrom) 90hz screen or amoled? thanks This post has been edited by RedsInHell: Apr 17 2020, 10:31 PM |

QUOTE(RedsInHell @ Apr 17 2020, 10:27 PM) thanks bro.. The 9T at RM1k would be a good buy. AMOLED screen, pop-up camera, efficient SD730 chipset and a 4000mAh battery. If you don’t mind MIUI and slower to no updates for your phone, then the 9T would be alright even though it doesn’t come with 90hz refresh rate. So far I’ve not face any stutters or issues with the 4GB RAM in the Realme 6, but everyone has a different usage pattern.i dont know, using honor 8x with its poor memory management, i really wished r6 would come with atleast 6gb ram tu justify the purchase. considering r5 pro but it is still priced at rm999 now looking at mi 9t at rm1k.. what do you think comparing these two? r6 vs mi 9t (globalrom) 90hz screen or amoled? thanks As I mentioned in my mini review, the Realme 6 is very easy to recommend at RM799, but at the full retail price of RM999, there are other options. The Oppo A91 and Vivo S1 Pro for example both come with an AMOLED screen and 8GB RAM. There’s also the Redmi Note 9S 6/128 for RM899 with a bigger battery and SD chipset but no 90hz refresh rate. Or if you can learn to live without GMS, there is also the Nova 7i. Plenty of options |

QUOTE(attw @ Apr 17 2020, 09:43 PM) Hahaha, yeah. The two major setbacks of the ZF Max Pro M1 - no 5Ghz WiFi and the wonky auto-brightness Hahaha, exactly. But not that bad for a 2018 model at RM599. But RM599 in 2020 for Realme 6i? I have a feeling it would be dead in the water as far as the Malaysian sales is concerned, at least with that price tag.Btw, Redmi Note 9 vanilla is coming to combat the Realme 6i. Rumor has it, it will run on the same MediaTek G80 SoC. This post has been edited by JJKTP: Apr 17 2020, 11:50 PM |

QUOTE(UnknownH @ Apr 17 2020, 11:59 PM) Worries no more. You no longer need to compare it to Redmi Note 9S as the real contender is coming. Soon we will see the Redmi Note 9 vanilla doing battle with the Realme 6i. |

QUOTE(JJKTP @ Apr 21 2020, 03:36 AM) Yes. Taking long screenshot of a webpage while running browser like chrome etc. Not just long screenshot while using built-in browser, apps or the phone interface (e.g. settings menu). There should be many 3rd party apps that can do that I think. There's one that azhar75 uses for most of his posts. Maybe he can share share with us |

So I'm more interested to know if they (Realme) have that feature built-in like Huawei, Samsung and the like. In the case of Xiaomi, they do have that feature built-in but it only works with their own browser, not with others. My focus is on taking long screenshot while using browser. QUOTE(azhar75 @ Apr 21 2020, 02:43 PM) Thank you bro for the sharing. Glad to know as Xiaomi built-in rolling screenshot feature only works with its own browser but not other browsers. Now i can happily consider Realme as my future toy. For now I'm stuck with RN9S which is yet to arrive (the worst delivery so far). It would be great if i could just refuse the delivery and go for Realme 6 instead. |

QUOTE(soonlee33 @ Apr 22 2020, 11:51 PM) If you read the written review of the 6 Pro, it says there are no significant performance advantages of the 6 Pro vs the 6, except the Snapdragon will run cooler than the Mediatek chipset under intense load, but if you don’t play games the 6 should be sufficient. However, the review also goes on to say the 6 Pro camera setup produces better images than the 6, so that’s another consideration if camera is important for you.QUOTE(fx20 @ Apr 23 2020, 08:52 AM) I don’t think Xiaomi is that fast.. my RN7 still on Android 9 too, hahaha... QUOTE(mulut99 @ Apr 24 2020, 02:53 PM) Planning to get a Realme 6.......any user here can post some prons & cons bout this phone? I don't have any experience with a 720G/730G phone, so I can't confirm or deny if the Realme 6 is snappier or not compared to those phones. While I've been using the phone, it doesn't feel slower than my S10 Lite based on my usage patterns. I think this is also helped with the 90hz display. Everything feels buttery smooth. I already wrote about my first impressions a few pages back, but in summary: -Read reviews online says this G90T better than snappy 720g/730g, it is true? I need true user review...thank you. P/S: Where can buy this phone.....search online cheapest is rm999 Pros - 90hz display with 4GB RAM makes everything buttery smooth - Dual SIM + independent memory card slot - Decent camera at this price point - Realme UI feels cleaner and lighter than ColorOS 6 previously - Above average battery life - Super fast-charging (30W) with stock charger and adapter Cons - Single firing bottom speaker is weak - LCD screen not the brightest, especially outdoors in the sunlight. - The G90T tends to heat up in prolonged usage and may cause throttling. It's a steal at RM799 for the 4/128 spec during the sale, so maybe lookout for the next sale if you're not in a hurry, doesn't seem to have any good deals at the moment. For those who wonder whats the different between r6 vs r6p, or you are like me which is curious about SD720G vs G90T, and how good the G90T was actually was...here you go
My finding was both of this G90T and SD720G was very good, but i think the snapdragon seems more "stable" and more "consistent"....so no wonder realme choose the sd720g for the pro model instead of G90T...in the end the SD720G is tiny bit better chip...its make me feel better with my choice choosing 9s instead if r6...but thats totally different argument... honestly said for most ppl...realme 6 is a great choice...and i wud recommend realme6 over 9s anyday...choosing a phine nowdays its not simply just about soc....u need to consider every aspect... different ppl got different needs.... |

QUOTE(shinjite @ Apr 26 2020, 11:31 AM) How's the camera performance btw? Saw Realme did some optimization on the camera in the latest software update for the Realme 6 series The camera won't win any awards, but it gets the job done for the price range. So far, I haven't receive the latest update yet for my Realme 6. Will try after that and see if it has improved. |

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Apr 26 2020, 08:40 PM) I dont think so. But the Realme 6 Pro uses a SD processor and has a different camera setup though Actually I saw some videos by Indian Youtubers and they were highlighting Realme 6 Pro which is based on G90T with 8GB ram. I think they might just be unveiled as Realme 6 Pro with a higher pricetag. |

But I think Realme is releasing to many phone variants for them to keep up so can't really blame them for being confused QUOTE(Wymm @ Apr 26 2020, 09:29 PM) Realme 6 pro or Realme XT I think no matter the software update, the hardware of the Realme 5s has limitations. It's a good budget entry-level phone with great battery life, but nothing more beyond that. How bout wait for realme 5s to receive realme UI and Ndroid 10 first, hard reset and see the differences QUOTE(mulut99 @ Apr 26 2020, 11:14 PM) Realme 6 8/128 on sale now.....so fast geh If you're playing games bro, I'd suggest the SD720G. the G90T tends to heat up faster under heavy workload and can cause throttling which will affect your games.Realme 6 6/128 Realme 6Pro 8/128 Which one better? G90T vs SDG720G?? QUOTE(ck_boon @ Apr 27 2020, 07:08 AM) Do also check Shopee. The 5S is sort of a clearance model now that the 6 and 6i has been launched. You should be able to get some good deals every now and then. |

Speaking of gaming, did you read the rumoured Samsung RDNA benchmark? Fuh... I really hope it's true. Destroyed Adreno 650. More than 2x faster. |

Yeah, I did read about it. I do hope Samsung fix the fundamental flaws in their Exynos chipset though - idle battery drain and weak cell reception. Those culprits caused me sell off my Note 10+ after just 3 weeks of usage |

Yeah, I've always thought it was a Samsung UI problem then I bought and tried the S10 Lite with the SD855 chipset. The difference is night and day in terms of standby battery time and signal reception I'm just surprised that they lost all their lead with their custom big core when ARM released A77. |

Not sure what they did with it but recent firmware upgrade, battery life improved quite significantly. Now I only get sharp drop when gaming. |

QUOTE(Punish @ Apr 28 2020, 10:45 AM) Probably RM1,399? Don't know, seems like a ridiculous strategy releasing so many phones with just minor tweaks and different prices!QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Apr 28 2020, 10:48 AM) WTF? Hahaha, yeah. But remember, the Honor 20 is over a year old. In over a year, this Realme 6 will probably cost about 700 or so. Buying older phones is the way to go with Android to get better value for money For 1K, you can buy Honor20 with Kirin980 liao. 2 extra A76 votes plus 6 extra G76 cores on 7nm vs their 12nm shit. |

I saw many of you guys get this phone out of curiosity....the 90hz refresh rate really tempted you guys to give a try, im pretty sure a most of you here have it in your heart, "mau rasa" the smoothness...
On the other hand, i think i know why im not as tempted as you guys...maybe its because i own ROG2 few months back, yes i get it its an eye candy, but since it suck the hell out of the 6000mah battery that ROG2 have, before a weeks i turn it off, 60hz all the way until i sold that monster....i dont know about you guys but if 60hz setting gonna give you guys alot more battery life, i predict you guys gonna become just like me... excited for a weeks but in the end battery life rules.. Different people have different wants and needs, bro. Besides, I think I've supplied more than enough evidence that the phone's battery life is pretty stellar even at 90hz refresh rate.On the other hand, i think i know why im not as tempted as you guys...maybe its because i own ROG2 few months back, yes i get it its an eye candy, but since it suck the hell out of the 6000mah battery that ROG2 have, before a weeks i turn it off, 60hz all the way until i sold that monster....i dont know about you guys but if 60hz setting gonna give you guys alot more battery life, i predict you guys gonna become just like me... excited for a weeks but in the end battery life rules.. |

There is the standard jelly case included along with a factory fitted screen protector, so the phone is ready to go out of the box. Unfortunately there are no locally available third party cases yet, or at least none that I can find |

QUOTE(attw @ Apr 30 2020, 08:16 AM) I'm guessing if you miss this deal today then you can still get it at that price again on 14th May. Obviously the 6i can't sell at RM699 yea.. with R6 at 3 variants, 6 pro ... 6i realme kinda messed up their pricing a bit that pricing not gonna help them on going after mi 9s, with 9 pro & supposedly cheaper vanilla 9s coming This post has been edited by RedsInHell: Apr 30 2020, 08:26 AM |

QUOTE(RedsInHell @ Apr 30 2020, 08:46 AM) True That.. The white looks OK also what, haha. If they continue the sale after the launch of the 8/128 one at 1199, then no one would buy the 8/128 because it won't make sense to pay 400 more for just the additional 4GB of RAM. Maybe they'll have 200 off for both variants so you can buy at 799 or 999.Damn that blue color out of stock really fast.. got white in my order, but think gonna cancel it. wait another round of sale |

I thought they released a new colour but when click on video, it said 6i. What a bummer. The codes only work on X2 Pro and Realme 6. ![]() |

QUOTE(pundi @ Apr 30 2020, 01:37 PM) my job is like a posman...so gps is very inportant for my work. Bro, in that case, I'm not sure how suitable the Realme 6 is for you. For one thing, if you use GPS a lot, it can be considered heavy workload on the CPU and so far that's not good for the G90T as it'll heat up, so you might need one of those clip on vents to put to the air-conditioning of the car or something. The other thing is I'm not sure how the 4300mAh battery will hold up under intense GPS usage. Maybe a 5000mAh battery would be better? since MCO i thinkle with my phone (mi a1)tryed many thing to make it work.....after many try..i think it work back...just tested just now..its perfect SO FAR...hope it be that way.......... so no need buy any new phone for now |

QUOTE(mulut99 @ Apr 30 2020, 08:04 PM) I tested using Opera surf net with 60hz and 90hz.....90hz really super smooth on scrolling. I think Opera also not support 90hz, right? So far no hang, no force close.....stable ler. I think this realme 90hz works same like Samsung screen sensitivity enable [which can enable it at phone setting].....but samsung still running on 60hz with screen sentivity enabled and the touch sensitivity very good. I use aida64.....yes it is on 90hz when i selected 90hz at the phone setting there. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(freddy manson @ Apr 30 2020, 08:30 PM) enabling 90hz and then opening CODm wont change anything, actually. smoothness is the same, only more battery power used the 'smooth feeling' cant justify anything use gamebench, and you can see the fps is the same for 60hz and 90hz screen brightness is also the same since the gamesndoesnt support 90hz then the 'smooth feeling' is purely 'placebo effects' posted in their developers forum, hoping they will support 90hz and 120Hz on their games as next big update QUOTE(mulut99 @ Apr 30 2020, 10:32 PM) Maybe u are right but i m trying to share my practical experience using this phone.....realme didnt pay me to advertise their phone. I really can feel the different leh but i m not saying it got super big different between 60hz and 90hz but i really can feel it....maybe i m too sensitive with screen sensitivity. What i m trying to says is when enable 90hz is like Samsung phone enable "screen sensitivity". U got this phone....maybe u can try it out yourself. Thanks for your explanation. Look like the 90Hz and 120Hz or even 144Hz not so useful at current moment since most of the apps do not support. It is just a selling point to promote the phone only. |

No screen slow response issue. And the phone not hot....just warm warm when playing CODM. The phone not so heavy and not bulky compare with realme 5s........hand wont get tired fast 2 things no good bout this phone 1. Auto brightness a bit cacat.....maybe have to wait for the update to fix it 2. Speaker not so loud compare with realme 5s but acceptable |

Honestly people buy too much shit with iOS app optimisation. Yes, app optimisation is important too. That's how Apple gets away with their "smoothness" even with 60hz display. iOS apps are just better optimised. Apple has been using the best SoC since the beginning. GPU rendering long before Android implemented them. If gaming, yeah, I would believe there is some difference can be achieved but normal apps, nah. |

QUOTE(Omochao @ May 1 2020, 07:58 PM) how's the gaming performance and also heat? MTK chipset very hard to get custom support roms, many developers drop it cuz too problematic. Hi bro, moved your post here instead. I don't play games so I don't have any personal experience about the performance and the heating up of the phone during gaming, although a number of YouTube videos showed that it does run warmer than its SD counterpart, the Realme 6 Pro.It was a good budget chip during the redmi note 3 era, but somehow the heat and throttling is the main issue of MTK devices. So far my only experience with the phone warming up was in a 90 minute video call I had few weeks back but it didn't get uncomfortably too hot to handle or anything like that, but I'm not sure how hot it would get after that if the call went on longer than 90 minutes. Other than that, the chipset performs admirably. No strange battery drain, signal reception is good, GPS lock is fast and accurate, no lags or issues so far. |

Unless you do loads of multitasking and open lots of apps, more RAM could just mean higher battery consumption. QUOTE(kuci_mayong @ May 2 2020, 02:58 AM) I was actually looking for replacement for my old android phone (came with snapdragon 625), was considering the realme 6 (Helio G90T), but seems the cpu not much difference compared to snapdragon 625, its not really a good upgrade, am going to still look around for something else. My MiMax 2 also running with Sandragon 625......playing games not much different.....smooth also but different is the UI, OS, apps loading much faster compare with G90T.....newer phone newer technology ma Funny thing i paid the same price for that phone in 2017 and now is 2020, you'd think for the same price you would get much better processor. |

Okay try think of it this way....when the sd625 was mainstream what was the flagship soc of that generation?...its was sd821 right, the chip that power the highly praise Oneplus3T MI5s LG G6 S7E in usa and such..the G90T i think should be faster than SD821....so you pay the same money today you got a flagship performance upgrade of that gen, i say its fair...SD625 for me feel sluggish....nah even SD636 with kryo core still feel sluggish....not until sd660 u start to feel it smoothing up abit...on the other hand, G90t i think its quite a leap from SD625, the 625 was energy efficient chip, it does not even have a performance core on it, if im still remember.... so G90T is still not today flagship ofcuz...but its a bloody good chip for the price...Funny thing i paid the same price for that phone in 2017 and now is 2020, you'd think for the same price you would get much better processor. QUOTE(zher4883 @ May 2 2020, 08:31 AM) What do you mean the CPU isn't much different from Snapdragon 625? It's completely at least few tier difference in terms of CPU performance. Actually you are right, helio g90t is much better. When I made that statement I first looked here:https://versus.com/en/mediatek-helio-g90t-v...-snapdragon-625 So it looked almost the same, but after looking at separate Geekbench scores, the helio g90t is 3x faster than snapdragon 625. https://browser.geekbench.com/android_devices/412 https://www.notebookcheck.net/The-Realme-6-...s.455163.0.html This post has been edited by kuci_mayong: May 2 2020, 04:09 PM |

QUOTE(kuci_mayong @ May 2 2020, 04:15 PM) Not bad this phone, especially after that other guy made the case on gps accuracy, if suddenly got voucher like how you got the phone rm200 off, going to consider this phone. Just have to be on the lookout for offers, bro. I believe they will have some offers by mid May when Xiaomi launches the Redmi Note 9 and 9 Pro here officially. Competition is good! |

QUOTE(kuci_mayong @ May 2 2020, 04:08 PM) Actually you are right, helio g90t is much better. When I made that statement I first looked here: Yes, G90T is far more faster then snappy 625....i tested both phones on loading heavy apps & games.......snappy 625 really slower. But snappy 625 run smooth after entering the apps and games.https://versus.com/en/mediatek-helio-g90t-v...-snapdragon-625 So it looked almost the same, but after looking at separate Geekbench scores, the helio g90t is 3x faster than snapdragon 625. https://browser.geekbench.com/android_devices/412 https://www.notebookcheck.net/The-Realme-6-...s.455163.0.html This post has been edited by mulut99: May 2 2020, 06:35 PM |
