It should not auto reboot after you have changed the fiber mode. I dont know what is the problem, maybe @Anime4000 can help. ( I dont know how to tag people on this forum)

My GPON SFP returned error empty response when trying to open webgui. Happened after I reboot router, only can access thru CLI now lol. This happened after I deleted the config partition

Last night, I re-run settings which property TM need:
1. TM OLT doesn't care MAC Address
2. TM OLT need PLOAM Password
3. TM OLT need correct Serial Number (only check first 8 digit or 4 character, example: 48575443 or HWTC)
4. TM OLT need correct OMCI Info (because OLT can send firmware update using OMCI, not TR069)

In summary:

Faking OMCI


V2801 Auth Key (avoid stick begin auto reboot, it ties with ELAN_MAC_ADDR and HW_HWVER)


4-port ONU Emulation
TM using 4-port ONU in Bridge mode.
Not all stick are compatible n-Port Emulation, thankyou SFP ZTE Stick only work on LAN 1.

EdgeRouter SFP issue
All SFP XPON ONU Stick are 1GbE only, some time EdgeRouter attempt to negotiate 10 or 100MbE mode on SFP which Stick are not supported
You need force "Speed/Duplex" in 1000/full in order to work!

just a question on SFP GPON ONU stick, those in the market is 1GbE right?

if i am subscribed to TIME 1Gbps plan and wanna fully utilize the download, do i need to look for a SFP+ GPON onu stick or which setup would you recommend?

currently the ISP provided setup max out at 920Mbps.

TWCGPON657 with 2.5GbE Firmware patch seem can run SGMII at 2.5GbE

Mikrotik RB5009 or CCR2004 seem support 2.5GbE

I have not got in hand this TWC GPON because I am lazy to buy thru taobao, seems complicated because of the language even I can use google translate.
