Regarding ur XGSPON SFP, let say if ISPs offer 10G broadband & u subscribe it also assume ur SFP work.. u'll always get 10Gbps/2.5Gbps speed max for consumer internet. The speed just like XGAPON isn't? The fact is it'll never work

The SFP will only work if u subscribe ISPs dedicated internet lower speed 3Gbps packages. For ur side the equipment either provided by ISPs or buy ur own 10/100G managed switch router. No more connect to OLT but directly connected to metro equipment. That's solution for someone like gamers who need higher upload speed or someone who own server, data center etc. Dedicated internet also called lease line or metro Ethernet.

For ISP side, SPON SFP used for trunk/transporter/carrier connection between equipment in their network & also for submarine cable.

Make sure TM did change 2.5G ONR/ONU for you.
And if later u are not satisficed with the ONR/ONU given then u can buy the custom ONU from Anime4000.

I just get my 1G FSU on early Feb,after report and technician visit,now so far so good. Although i not sure why i cant hit full upload to Google Drive. (I can hit full speed with multiple upload tasks)
According to Anime4000 said Dlink 2.5G black combo box and Skyworth 2.5G black combo box is also not fully stable. (And somehow buggy)

last time my bro in law upgrade, they replace with new the black dlink combo, and I heard alot of things about this combo onu router has terrible performance the longer it runs without reboot.

Unifi thread got people said after several firmware update,it looks like the uptime issue and some bugs already fixed.
But Anime4000 did said security flaws still exists on Dlink box.

Need to remember, ISP equipment never been safe from hacker and lacks of general update, often use very old stuff, these device so cheap and security maintenance never a thing

thing is, well secured equipment never need to reboot, but device feel sluggish can determine has been infected, a hacker use some it's resources for their bidding.

hell, even you disable ISP Management, ISP still have full control which is very bad

Yes, I have, also no need to worry about VLAN anymore, just setup your new 2.5G router without selecting "Special ISP Requirements" or VLAN 500

also yes, you need new 2.5G Router, 2.5G for WAN and at least one 2.5G LAN,

TP-LINK Archer BE550 or BE230 (WiFi 7 without 6GHz)
these router are cheaper compared with Asus solutions
