QUOTE(huh? @ Dec 15 2007, 05:21 PM)
anybody can give my some pointers? and what is the recommended vcore on air cooling with E2180?
*
depends what are your load temps like, but to be on the safe side, 5~10% of the stock vcore is considered safe for aircooling.

QUOTE(Without @ Dec 15 2007, 07:03 PM)
I can run stock 3.2ghz with e2160 but always got vdrop.. Idle temp around 25-29 while 3.4ghz idle temp 29-32 with 1.45core.. DFI not really like e2160.. must use modded bios else the memory divider goes crazy...
*
of course there will be a slight vdroop no matter on what intel based boards mar.. unless if you have the option to turn it off or mod the board...

what cooler are you using anyway?

ehh, anyone got the feedback from my 1.5v theory after looking at the datasheet as well as spec finder that the chip can tahan up to 1.5v anot?
huh?

mrmm.. if 5-10 % over the stock vcore = 1.43.. my cpu wont even be stable at 3.0ghz with that kind of vcore... sad.gif what a day... wasted wasted...

QUOTE(Punish @ Dec 15 2007, 07:36 AM)
e2180 for 1.36 vcore huh....mine can stable 2.9 with stock vcore and stock cooler...maybe iam abit lucky than u...i want to touch the 3.2 mark but i think it need at least 1.4vcore....my stock cooler cannot handle it.....only 1.36v my temp go up to 64*c shakehead.gif

ok my question is why my Abit IP35-e cannot do 400FSB...anyone with this kind of mobo please comment...my friend say must up the Vtt voltage to alleast 1.3v but sadly my mobo VTT can go max 1.235 only....so does it mean my mobo cannot handle 400FSB cuzz lack VTT voltage.

want to oc my system so badly...still lag playing Hellgatelondon with DX10high setting even with my new 8800GT cry.gif useless

Many people overclock without running stability test. If it doesn't pass the stability test for a few hours at least, the system is not stable hence it's pointless. There's no point concluding that the chip does well at such speed.

If it's just as easy as increasing the FSB and booting up with a higher clock speed, passing PI, overclocking is so much easier.

the vdrop quite much.. using xigmatek s1283.. havent apply my mx-1.. currently left it over there stable for already 6 hour plus.. 29-32c tongue.gif last time try 3.6ghz 1.55vcore doesn't help =.="

i read lot's review all using ds3 can hit better.. so far my dfi stll need modded bios help me =.=" vmad.gif

i see, whats the load temps for it?

The ds3 does up to 480fsb no problemo(stock NB volts la), not just reviews, but actual hands on testing

I'm not referring to anyone but it's more like sharing what should be done before concluding the overclock is successful smile.gif
It's more precise and better that way.

hrmm.. like that huh?

im agree 100% with you.. before i post any OC results, ill run any test that i can find, usually ill do OCCT 30min test, than orthos or prime at least 5 hours.. but usually even OCCT test my e2180 will not pass..hahahaha biggrin.gif
