QUOTE(williamchua8 @ Mar 1 2020, 12:36 PM) Yes, using it now on all 4 corners. Size is 185/65R14 and done 10k km. But I am trying not to derail this thread. My comment on this tyre is in post #11 in the link below. https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4913463 |

I had been on XM2 then CC6. After 20k km XM2 is noisy and hard. CC6 is good, much more comfortable and quieter. I didn't experienced any grip problem also. 110km/h cornering on highway during heavy rain also ok. Maybe my car is heavy, 1200kg Prius C. Just my tires lifespan generally short, around 40k km only reach minimum thread. Can't imagine you guys with 100k km. Wow Thrust liked this post

QUOTE(aragongon @ Sep 7 2020, 04:39 PM) I had been on XM2 then CC6. After 20k km XM2 is noisy and hard. My experience is the same as you.. moving from xm2 to cc6. XM2 is more expensive, harder and not as comfortable than cc6 although thread wear can last a lot longer. Grip wise, xm2 is better but if you are not into spirited driving, CC6 does its job as intended.CC6 is good, much more comfortable and quieter. I didn't experienced any grip problem also. 110km/h cornering on highway during heavy rain also ok. Maybe my car is heavy, 1200kg Prius C. Wow I will take CC6 anytime over the XM2 because it offers better overall package in terms of price, comfort and quietness. Conclusion, CC6 is an uncle tyre for drivers who wants comfort, and silent. XM2 are for those who wants branding, slight better grip, longer threar wear and don't mind sacrificing comfort and road noise. |

I was just replaced to XM2+ at last month. I don't think it is noisy but it gives me a safety feels. Especially during rainy weather and driving on wet road. Last time I am not using Michelin, I was using Viking before. That tyres give me feel unsafety because the wet grip is really bad.
Another reason why I upgrade to Michelin because is B-segment car maintenance fee is cheap. My car is just a 15-inch rim, even Michelin is the most expensive but the price is still acceptable. I replace 4pcs Michelin for RM1,000, by comparing to 4pcs Toyo Tires for RM720 or 4pcs Goodyear for RM760, it is just RM240~RM280 different. |
