Hi all, I'm considering whether should choose XM2+ or CC6, size of my tyre is 175/65R14.
Any users of these tyres? Mind share your feedback?
Also any trusted tyre shops recommend around Kepong charging decent price?

Besides these 2 tyres, I highly recommend you to get Goodyear ATM2.
Michelin tyres are overpriced due to the heavy marketing.
CC6 although comfort but quite dangerous in the wet especially during highway drive.

QUOTE(loki @ Feb 17 2020, 09:12 PM) are you sure? tyres are rated up to 70k at most.. Been a Michelin XM2 user since 2014. 1st set last 100k km, still not reaching the wear indicator level, and could last another 20k. But still decided to change to a new set in 2016. Second set of XM2 also yield same result after using 100k km. Now on 3rd set after change in 2019. It is a proven product which perform amazingly during rain even after 100k km.

CC6 although comfort but quite dangerous in the wet especially during highway drive. That Goodyear ATM2 model is not available for TS' tyre size. Anyway, TS try to get Dunlop J5 or Bluearth ES32. Both have better wet grip than CC6 but doesn't cost as much as XM2+. But hey, if you do have the money, go for the XM2+.

The 115k km was with a residual thread depth of about 2-2.5 mm . According to tyre manufacturers , I could have gone on further to residual 1.6 mm thread depth . Tyre age then was about 6.5 years . It is good up to 10 years , according to tyre manufacturers . This post has been edited by zeng: Feb 17 2020, 10:09 PM

Does the XM2 still have the thread rubber cracking problem? Looks like small tiny chucks break of the edge of the threads.

CC6 quite a lot of bad review. Even a tyre shop recommend me against CC6 last time.

I'm using XM2+ now, good economic tyres (except for the price). Good wet braking, quieter, but doesn't perform so well when taking fast corners - which is expected of economic tyres.
I had a bad experience with wet braking using Continentals

Yes, some tiny 2-3 mm long but shallow 'cracks' on the edge of 70,000 -75,000 km XM2 tyres . But that is of no concern to me for subsequent 40,000 km or more usage .
