QUOTE(Cahill @ Jul 20 2007, 02:05 PM) i got the info from here ESPN director himself was the one who told me. So yea with viewership and so many programmes, definitely that region of pay considering my director lecturer himself is paid handsomely

He's the best in Malaysia.
At least he knows what he is talking about and is knowledgeable. Not talking rubbish like some other commentators.

Askar, he might know what he talking about but I find myself hard to agree with what he said on more than a few occasions. a couple of examples are Gerrard best position is right back and the way forward for Malaysian football is damage limitation and he is no commentator. he's a pundit. for me by far Hasbullah Awang is the best football commentator we have

madrealjl, i'm talking purely on the ability to commentate on any football match. bringing in the suspense into word etc. in this aspect, Hasbullah is way way better than Shebby. yeah, Habullah make some mistakes sometimes but he also will appologise when he realise that he made the mistake. let's put it this way, if there's a football match being reported thru radio, who would you rather listen commentating the match. Shebby or Hasbullah? for me there's not even a question here
as I said earlier, in my opinion Shebby is an OK pundit, but a well below average commentator

Shebby or Hasbullah? for me there's not even a question here as I said earlier, in my opinion Shebby is an OK pundit, but a well below average commentator Hasbullah's problem is that he doesn't do any research before he commentates. Often he doesn't know names of players, which is weird because they are given a sheet of paper with players names and numbers on it. He doesn't practice pronunciating the names either. Once, I heard him commentate on a basketball game, and he actually said, "Itu dia, percubaan sepuluh markah". Other than that, he has enthusiasm but should brush up on his research.

QUOTE(vreis @ Aug 9 2007, 04:25 PM) Hasbullah Awang specialize in making a dull & boring 0-0 match sounds like an exciting 5-4 match he makes players sound like world class superstars when the players couldn't even kick a ball to save their lives.. i remember he once shouted "rembatan yang cantik sekali!!!"...but in fact the shot was miles off target(not even directed at d goal) and landed in the stands

Shebby not a good commentator, he just like to critic and he like to bias on matches. Hasbullah, is very energetic guy but his talking is baseless. He did make things sound interesting.
