Definitely can at least match the r25 price now. I'm curious to see if this means they'll be rebadging stuff like the versys 250 or 300.

Also a bit concerned about how spare parts and such will be managed. Now that the bikes become cheaper and more accessible, the demand for parts is going to increase, and if not dealt with, bike thieves may target kawis like they target the smaller KTM Dukes.

Serdang Motors right? I was considering their offer when I was gonna buy my 400, but wasn't too keen on the Z650 or Ninja 650.

Anyway, right now the main concern is what's going to happen to the support for pre-existing Kawa owners below 700cc. I'm still going to hold on to my bike because I like it so much, but if Modenas is taking over dealer and servicing for Kawa then I may run into issues...

Better think too much than think too little, IMO. Anticipating issues beforehand saves me from nasty surprises.

Anyway, that reply was 10 months ago. Have had to let go of my bike since then because of financial issues during MCO. Now also haven't recovered yet and haven't replaced it since I am working from home.

Hmmm, I think he is referring to the inline 2 version. What enthusiasts want is a cut-priced ZX25R...the inline 4 version. I think neighbouring countries already have facelifts or new colour schemes and we only hear crickets here in Malaysia...good job Modenas! thumbup.gif

Now to see what Modenas will actually do...which I think will take some time as well. I wonder if they will actually launch anything this year
