If there is no pork, there will be not enough meat, so, be thankful for the existence of pork and pork eaters

this ^

is no pork, beef and mutton and chicken price would probably go up 3-4 times

considering how pork is the # 1 most consumed meat world wide

Technically it will be halal, but muslim will not buy/eat it as it will mendatangkan fitnah and it is not recommended and must be prevented. Good muslim will avoid it, not so good muslim will probably try

bodoh

the food industry is ALL about taste like me but not me

orange juice/sweets has no orange
lots of milk has no milk
meat sausage has no meat

the only way for food industry to prosper is to make TASTE LIKE ME BUT NOT ME

inilah dia cibai bangsar bubble with no imagination
the world is ALL ABOUT substituting everything with something that tastes the same

Agreed with your point. I have a classmate who is now a chemist, researching on industrial artificial flavouring. And i heard many many things from her. So,

1. I dont drink orange juice
2. I stopped drinking milk
3. Sausage intake is minimal (wife still buying)

Further, i am trying to limit and control what is going into my body. I buy "real" meat from butchery, fish direct from fishermen in kuala selangor, veggie sometimes MIL got tanam.

Eat less processed food. Thats what i am trying to say.

a quote from an ustaz :

"orang kafir tak tengok al-Quran, orang kafir tengok awak"

*"awak" as in muslims themselves. whatever is written in the holy book are useless when the people professing to represent the religion, act differently. the same applies to all religions in this world.

Chinese restaurants already served Vegetarian Char Siew long long time ago.
Some tasted really similar (not those really proper burnt honey glazed Char Siew type).

And plus, I can foresee Confusion card being whipped out. Remember Shandy and Guiness Malta?

inb4 what is syubhah?

There is still difference, mainly in the texture. And some dishes you can't replace pork in terms of taste and smell.
Anyway, don't think it's healthy to eat so much of these over-processed food.

I remember reading that all vegetarian meats are plant proteins. Soy is the common suspect.

Usually it's either soy, chickpeas or pea.
