Clearly you don't climb. Each slip on a climb is about 5 seconds lost and energy wasted.

i ridden before stiff AF frames.. oh man, it is not enjoyable at all...
groupset dun help in climbing, unless for the weight. gear ratio is the one helping the climbs
*
Can elaborate why is stiffer frame not enjoyable? Bumpy? But for climbs it should be better right?

Groupset i heard there's a brand or line that can drop or upshift 3 gears on abuse? That I find helpful. Currently Im doing grandpa shifts - stop spin and shift. Gear ratio can't get the perfect ones unless I cross chain.

Good to know your podium comes at the expense of drafting behind others.

stiffer = less flex = less power transfer lost (from leg to crank to frame)
and also it requires to more energy (power) to drive the bike

imagine riding a bike with suspension, and a bike without. which is faster? which is more comfort?
faster = without
comfort = with suspension

i would not say it s better for climbing.
it is all depends on the rider itself whether can handle a stiff bike.

of cos we much consider the carbon lay up of the manufacturer, with the right stiffness at the right place, the bike will have better power transfer which makes the rider go faster.

Easier said than done, Shah Alam Endurance Race I got dropped to the second peloton after just 30km.

Shah Alam Enduride the following year, P1, P2 went ahead and chased the race peloton, the rest of us were struggling to stay in our own group. If so easy, every races would’ve been all together that ends only exclusively with sprinters winning all

That 2018 SAER was actually 1 of the toughest edition coz TSG pros were in it, so dont feel so bad u got dropped.. i was barely hanging on myself.

I remember at about KM15 we hit shah alam hilly dragonback section, the pros light it up full gas.. Then when we hit that batu arang fruit valley hilly section it was single filed and full gas all the way until peloton snapped in half. It was a tough tough race.. even hariff salleh didnt finish well that year, i can feel my legs were cramping up on the last km.
