Non-Serious Answer:
Father-Mother-Insurance Sdn Bhd

Serious Answer:
Prudential or AIA
These 2 are the most competitive in the market, both their packages are pretty competitive.

AXA eMedic..

Costs me RM148/month for family of 4..

Package includes Rm100,000/year hospitalisation limit for each individual.

RM250/day room-rates. Means I can afford a single suite at all the private hospitals.

Same list of health coverage as AIA/Prudential.

overseas Brunei, & SG temporary travel coverage.

etc.

For similar family package at other companies, it will cost me 1000rm a month.. and neither of the main insurance companies have a family package..

no brainer for me really..

wow. That's family package of RM 148 per month , i would say the best of all insurance policy now.

Who ever think their package have this deal please stand up . I like to see the best of the best.
RM 100K per individual per year , that's something nice too but not if the patient is a cancer or diabetic type. That treatment could cost more in private hospital.

yes, this package is completely online.. It really cuts out the middle man aka greedy insurance agent..

in this day and age, truly don't need agent liao. registration is completely online and easy to do.. takes less than 5 minutes from entering your details to confirming the package you want..

Not to completely intervene in you choice of insurance platform. Somehow, I suggest you to read the policy.

There are difference between full coverage & reimbursement insurance.

Most online insurance package provide only for reimbursement - which means pay first later claim up to certain amount.

I am not insurance agent, but I've been into a lot of insurance package from different company/agent. I strongly believe the insurance that having a consultant are the legit one. Make sure consultant know your needs and policy is clear accordingly.

Yeah, keep survey, read & understand the package/platform. The lesser the budget the less the coverage or specification of insurance.

Look for Medical card that cover up as a whole.

Need to understand as well full takaful coverage, co takaful etc...

Do research ya.

That is simply not true.. Axa eMedic is 100% fully covered and paid for by the insurance company directly. As long as you visit their panel hospitals, which is basically all major hospitals through-out Malaysia, you don't have to pay anything if you are admitted.. Which is exactly the same as other insurance..

Not true.. you are providing mis-information..

here are the facts:
For as low as RM50/month, you get,

RM100,000/yr medical fee coverage,
RM250 board room rates,
Cashless admission,
Panel hospital cover at all major & some minor hospitals through-out Malaysia,
Limited overseas coverage, &
Coverage for all the usual illnesses & diseases.

It is by far the best package right now because it cuts out the middle man, the insurance agent & investment type policies.. this policy is precisely for those who want a hassle-free, minimal cost, & full medical coverage plan.

Infact, I decided to buy it because I wanted to move my family of 4 directly under one package for convenience. I approached the major insurance companies and none could even propose a package that covers 4 individuals.. AIA was the only one that has a family package, but you need 5 individuals and it costs more than 1000RM/month.. This greed is being taken way too far and i'm surprised that AXA are the only company to recognise this and have introduced a hassle-free, & reasonably priced product, that perfectly meets my needs & requirements for people like myself.

Infact, their package for individuals are even better! RM500,000 limits, RM500 board room rates, etc. Truly first class medical insurance package for less of the cost than even the most basic package AIA, Prudential, GE, etc can offer to you.. AXA eMedic is a true winner.

Whether or not you need an agent, it is up to the individual.. If you are tech savvy and can post on an online forum, I do not see you having any issues whatsoever..

Thanks for counter feedback. Yes i do agree that as long as we visit their panel hospitals and filed the required documentation , it should be alright.

Regarding the admission without paying anything, maybe the hospitals want to take some deposits from patient first before they process the policy right. For eg.. if the admission is emergency, the nurse will ask for minimum payment deposit right?

Yes, that is just a deposit. It will be refunded once you discharged. Standard SOP.

Although I do agree that some online only insurance have to pay first then claim, Axa eMedic isn't one of them, and infact, it is clearly mentioned through-out their policy & website that they are cashless admission. You just need to produce your medical card at admission counter & also make sure you are visiting one of their panel hospitals first prior to admission.. but usually, the counter will straight away let you know whether they accept Axa emedic or not.

It is covered.. why wont it be covered?

look, it is exactly the same insurance policies as your normal one.. the only difference is that there is no agent or branch for you to visit in person.

Everything is done online or through your phone/email.
Whether that is for you is up to the individual preferences..

But for me, I was looking at paying RM150/month vs RM1000/month for a family package. No brainer for me to choose Axa eMedic...

just for your info, Malaysia medical cost rise about 10 ~15% ANNUALLY ask your online agent do the math about the 100k for you.

understandable that costs increase. But, even my prudential agent hasn't informed me of necessary increases, in the 10 years I was with him...

Maybe they just have too many clients by now..

anyways, my thinking is quite simple.. Just get the most coverage that you can afford.

yes i also agree with you. even with my previous Manulife insurance. Before purchasing, they had everything coming with this is GOOD , lots of benefits etc... etc..After few years, Manulife company starts to send me letter told me the premium have to increased . I was wtf.. after 2-3 years, they send letter and increase again.. If i look at the current promotion by other agency, it's really not worth it . It's like i have to cancel the old one and buy new one.
