1. Skuter ni sangat selesa, hari tu try juga kawan punya RS150, alamak keselesaan sangat jauh beza dari segi vibration.

2. Skuter lebih senang nak maintain, isi minyak jalan, sampai masa (ikut buku) pergi la service (jarak service panjang), sampai masa tukar belt / parts CVT, takde rantai kena bersihkan & minyak check selalu

3. Minyak jimat, kalau bawak bawah 90 km/j, kalau nak rembat Honda PCX ni tak bagus... kalau maintain 110 km/j minyak makan dalam 33 km/liter (kalau nak rembat selalu mungkin Xmax lebih sesuai)

4. Honda PCX ni boleh parking mana-mana tanpa risau. Motor orang tua

Tepuk poket...

tadi check, okay confirm not /k

PCX vs XMAX ada difference, whatever was mentioned is valid. I have a PCX before my XMAX.

Weight is different with the width and long wheelbase, bigger turning radius. You cannot cilok as easy with a PCX. Height is also a difference, because of the wide body, your kaki kena kangkang more.

I use daily for ~60+km (current model, since released in Malaysia, 19,500km as of now) through rain shine, traffic and all. ABS tripped dunno how many times liao, TCS also engaged almost 5 times. I think it saved my skin.

Hari tu sempat test Honda Forza 300, pick up memang sedap la tak payah cerita banyak tapi size besar (lebih kurang XMax?) dan memang payah cilok. Kalau selalu nak membesit memang sedap la tapi kalau nak main tengah bandar penat lebih sikit.

Keselesaan juga bertambah & lebih stabil.

Bila pickup sudah sedap... minyak naik.

xpernah pakai xmax, tapi untuk jarak perjalanan 100km sehari, tiada masalah. awalkan servis sahaja.

Dari owner Suzuki FX110 Keluaran 1997, bawak dari Setia Alam ke Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, KL (100km).

I bought NMAX 155 recently, so far it is quite comfortable for me to ride 60km per day.
I were thinking to buy XMAX, but it is out of my budget...

Maybe you could go have a look / test the seat position of the XMAX, btw the space under the seat is able to fit 2 full face helmet, fuel capacity is large too.

Xmax is designed precisely for 100km daily commute...

that being said, it also depends on where you travel that 100km... if lotsa open road then the Xmax is awesome and i will take it in a heartbeat,
but if you are talking about lotsa city traffic then you might be better served by a PCX or NMAX...

Waiting for TS's review.
Btw, thinking of getting a Xmax soon, is there any promotion?
Or where do we buy Xmax from? Yamaha?
Also, which one is the popular colour?
I prefer black, so cool!

already got the scoot on the 18th June... already clocked 1600km on it...coz rode back to
semenyih from JB twice...

I changed front and back suspension to ohlins... and tires to pirelli rosso sport... worth it..

First time for me to ride scooter of any type... my history with bikes was

1. kawasaki kips 150
2. yamaha virago 535
3. naza blade 650....

that was years back... sold my blade 4 years ago....

so xmax is super comfortable... if you looking for speed this is not for you... max speed ~140kmh
but the ride is very enjoyable for me... on the highway I was riding 120-140kmh....

The low center of gravity make the scoot feel so light... due to wide seat I can't properly put my
feet on the ground (170cm)... but still I can let go the handle... becoz I don't feel like the scoot
will fall... opposite feeling with naza blade...

due to upgraded suspension, the handling is superb, surprisingly low speed through traffic jam handling
is super smooth...

the space under the seat is huge... I added 43L givi top box... and this adds super practicality to using
this bike... now I can put everything in the scoot... if I were to go to the toilet or meal at RnR..
I can leave everthing... jacket, helmet... inside the bike... so don't have to bring anything on me...

going to office also enjoyable... laptop bag in the seat luggage...

so far I enjoy the scoot.. it surpasses my expectation. This is very "practical" two wheeler.
I can ride be it for a short ride to grocery store or interstate get away...

The new tech like keyless entry and 12V cigarette lighter can keep your phone battery charged..

The last thing is... the look of the xmax... it is a huge scooter... look expensive and look so beautiful
The front.. the head and the eyes... LED drl .... rear view greeted by LED drl ala panigale...

I'm in love with this scooter...

I bought the rear one from shopee... I assembled it myself.
The front one is more of a spring kit... need to drain the oil and stuff... bought and assembled by bike shop...

Since xmax is quite popular nowadays.. and also due to covid19... ohlins stock for xmax a bit difficult to find.

but it is worth the money... can go with yss also... as long as you don't use the stock tire and suspension.

I found the brake also quite hard to pull... it bite very good... but not soft 2 finger pull I used to find with hydraulic
pump brake system... thinking of upgrading to RCB brake pump... no need kayangan kluster brembo.... blush.gif blush.gif

I see. Thanks for info.
Front brake is single caliper, maybe different than your previous bikes list above, especially the Blade with dual caliper 4 pot.
I would try a 4 pot or 6 pot upgrade, to improve the feel.

susah nak cerita how good this skuter is..... the look... rupa dia.... dari kiri... kanan... depan... belakang... semua buat hati geram
dan sentiasa nak tengok....

the practicality... used to own... kapcai, kawasaki kips kr150, virago 525, blade 650... and sekrg skuter ni... the practicality of
going anywhere... long interstate ride, pergi kedai beli grocery, going to the office.... pergi surau.... all just fit in.. so because of
its practicality... I always want to ride... luggage space so huge can store 2 full face helmet and some more....

the ride... super smooth single piston engine... not for speed.... most comfortable and wide seat... Can ride continuously more
than 2 hours... without any problem.... heavy but the weight is very low to the ground... therefore very stable at speed whether
low or high speed....not affected by other big vehicle wind...

weaknesses... factory fitted suspension, tire and brake are below expectation.... once you address that with good brand replacement..
you will be very happy rider...

all in all it is a super luxurious kapcai with great look to die for

beli bro jgn tak beli.... hahahaha

You want me to feel guilty???? damn you hahahahaha

Ohlins suspension rear and ohlin spring kit front
Frando full system brake
Riser and handlebar
Original Domino quick throttle and bar grip
New Paint
Pirelli Diablo Rosso Tire
Europe comfort seat

Now in a workshop for performance upgrading.... and that is it... I'm done with upgrading....

To be honest... it is a scooter and I want to keep it for a long long time... I think 250cc is enough
but need a bit extra of torque to overtake on the highway....

No I didn't.... I am a visual guy... you know what I mean? When I see xmax, I just love it visually.
For me, once I got hooked with the look... everything else doesn't really matter...
I have seen Honda Forza after I bought my xmax... sat on forza... molested it a bit... but I have no
regret buying xmax over forza....

I haven't touch kymco. only looking from far... the look turn me off...

Advantage of xmax is that it is very popular that spare parts and accessories are readily
available.... if you want to upgrade the engine for example.... they can procure original
300cc and 400cc yamaha parts....

I chose to have the lowest upgrade... 286cc... don't know how to explain
it technically... if you are interested... you can browse in youtube channel

Again I don't need powerful scooter... just need a bit extra so that is safer
to overtake on the highway...

During my surveying/stalking, many advise new owner to get rid of the OEM tyres and suspension ASAP and change for a better alternatives for safety reason. Is the original tyres and suspension that bad?

After drooling over your beautiful bike, now I'm torn between XMAX or Chinese brand bike with higher CC.

They told me the same.... since I have the budget, I immediately change the stock tire and suspension.

I heard the tire is quite bad on rainy days. Very less grip. The suspension is a bit hard side... Again, I immediately change upon purchase... no chance to test it... All I wrote based on heresay only...

For my heavy usage (>600km on highway weekly) I faced heavy heavy rain on regular basis.... so no brainer on the tire.... for the suspension... I think better suspension make the riding fun... not only during high speed and cornering... but slicing through crawling traffic...

Paulinetan article mentioned ours already coming in with no ABS..
Thai n europe are standard while indon have ABS variant.
Ours cekik darah only. Maybe next 2021/2022 baru ada ABS for our NMax. Hopefully ADV150 will have ABS as standard.

sometimes, i m wondering whether worth taking xmax onot.

things such as suspension (front n back) with tyres costing 5-6K. I believe this is more on safety and not really aesthetics.

adding this to the motor, 21k , hitting almost 30k.

I might as well get a decent 500cc for that price.

sorry to necro the thread but would like to get input from riders between Xmax 250 and Forza 250. Main purpose is commute to office from Shah Alam to KL daily.

I am a big sized rider with 175cm height so wonder if either these options are good for me. Prior to MCO used to ride F800GS so not nervous about taking big ride into City traffic.

looks awesome but wonder if it would arrive in our shores in 300 variant. and based on what i have read so far; our neighbour usually gets theirs a year in advance so will just proceed with either the xmax or forza on whichever comes first (hoping xmax comes first though)...

Your guess is as good as mine on when we can buy it here.

Because of how our driving licenses are structured, we may not see 300cc Xmax but the 250cc. The Honda Forza originally came in 300cc (279cc) but later discontinued and replaced with 250cc. It is highly unlikely that Hong Leong Yamaha will repeat the same exercise (mistake).

Reviving this thread again.

Just got an xmax 250 and they said if you big rider (100kg)
Better to change back suspension

Is this true and if so, which would the otai here recomend
Rcb, yss or prefender

Ohlins very out of budget

All brands better compare to stock shocks, find the one that is serviceable or can claim warranty easily in Malaysia. as all those suspensions are made in Siam (including Ohlins for small bikes).

Ah Chong suggests profender though (Mansheng)
