got update? racun sikit.

already got the scoot on the 18th June... already clocked 1600km on it...coz rode back to
semenyih from JB twice...

I changed front and back suspension to ohlins... and tires to pirelli rosso sport... worth it..

First time for me to ride scooter of any type... my history with bikes was

1. kawasaki kips 150
2. yamaha virago 535
3. naza blade 650....

that was years back... sold my blade 4 years ago....

so xmax is super comfortable... if you looking for speed this is not for you... max speed ~140kmh
but the ride is very enjoyable for me... on the highway I was riding 120-140kmh....

The low center of gravity make the scoot feel so light... due to wide seat I can't properly put my
feet on the ground (170cm)... but still I can let go the handle... becoz I don't feel like the scoot
will fall... opposite feeling with naza blade...

due to upgraded suspension, the handling is superb, surprisingly low speed through traffic jam handling
is super smooth...

the space under the seat is huge... I added 43L givi top box... and this adds super practicality to using
this bike... now I can put everything in the scoot... if I were to go to the toilet or meal at RnR..
I can leave everthing... jacket, helmet... inside the bike... so don't have to bring anything on me...

going to office also enjoyable... laptop bag in the seat luggage...

so far I enjoy the scoot.. it surpasses my expectation. This is very "practical" two wheeler.
I can ride be it for a short ride to grocery store or interstate get away...

The new tech like keyless entry and 12V cigarette lighter can keep your phone battery charged..

The last thing is... the look of the xmax... it is a huge scooter... look expensive and look so beautiful
The front.. the head and the eyes... LED drl .... rear view greeted by LED drl ala panigale...

I'm in love with this scooter...

Sounds addictive. Where would you recommend getting the Ohlins from?
*
I bought the rear one from shopee... I assembled it myself.
The front one is more of a spring kit... need to drain the oil and stuff... bought and assembled by bike shop...

Since xmax is quite popular nowadays.. and also due to covid19... ohlins stock for xmax a bit difficult to find.

but it is worth the money... can go with yss also... as long as you don't use the stock tire and suspension.

I found the brake also quite hard to pull... it bite very good... but not soft 2 finger pull I used to find with hydraulic
pump brake system... thinking of upgrading to RCB brake pump... no need kayangan kluster brembo.... blush.gif blush.gif

Wah racun mcm mengena je ni..kinda interested but my workplace from home is only 5 minutes  doh.gif

susah nak cerita how good this skuter is..... the look... rupa dia.... dari kiri... kanan... depan... belakang... semua buat hati geram
dan sentiasa nak tengok....

the practicality... used to own... kapcai, kawasaki kips kr150, virago 525, blade 650... and sekrg skuter ni... the practicality of
going anywhere... long interstate ride, pergi kedai beli grocery, going to the office.... pergi surau.... all just fit in.. so because of
its practicality... I always want to ride... luggage space so huge can store 2 full face helmet and some more....

the ride... super smooth single piston engine... not for speed.... most comfortable and wide seat... Can ride continuously more
than 2 hours... without any problem.... heavy but the weight is very low to the ground... therefore very stable at speed whether
low or high speed....not affected by other big vehicle wind...

weaknesses... factory fitted suspension, tire and brake are below expectation.... once you address that with good brand replacement..
you will be very happy rider...

all in all it is a super luxurious kapcai with great look to die for

beli bro jgn tak beli.... hahahaha

Look quite similar to what I found while browsing about XMAX today...

*
Because the paint job is done by the same person, the Ohlin sticker and the tire bomb done by the same person...

Wow.. how much spend on that xmax.. 10K?
*
You want me to feel guilty???? damn you hahahahaha

Ohlins suspension rear and ohlin spring kit front
Frando full system brake
Riser and handlebar
Original Domino quick throttle and bar grip
New Paint
Pirelli Diablo Rosso Tire
Europe comfort seat

Now in a workshop for performance upgrading.... and that is it... I'm done with upgrading....

To be honest... it is a scooter and I want to keep it for a long long time... I think 250cc is enough
but need a bit extra of torque to overtake on the highway....

Did you tested Honda Forza / Kymco Downtown 250i before? Any comparo review?
*
No I didn't.... I am a visual guy... you know what I mean? When I see xmax, I just love it visually.
For me, once I got hooked with the look... everything else doesn't really matter...
I have seen Honda Forza after I bought my xmax... sat on forza... molested it a bit... but I have no
regret buying xmax over forza....

I haven't touch kymco. only looking from far... the look turn me off...

Advantage of xmax is that it is very popular that spare parts and accessories are readily
available.... if you want to upgrade the engine for example.... they can procure original
300cc and 400cc yamaha parts....

I understand what you meant...

So which parts are now installed on yours? 400 cc?
*
I chose to have the lowest upgrade... 286cc... don't know how to explain
it technically... if you are interested... you can browse in youtube channel
by Sayan Zing....

Again I don't need powerful scooter... just need a bit extra so that is safer
to overtake on the highway...

They told me the same.... since I have the budget, I immediately change the stock tire and suspension.

I heard the tire is quite bad on rainy days. Very less grip. The suspension is a bit hard side... Again, I immediately change upon purchase... no chance to test it... All I wrote based on heresay only...

For my heavy usage (>600km on highway weekly) I faced heavy heavy rain on regular basis.... so no brainer on the tire.... for the suspension... I think better suspension make the riding fun... not only during high speed and cornering... but slicing through crawling traffic...
