QUOTE(Wijjog @ Nov 16 2020, 08:47 PM) Yes for the series s. You have to buy 6 months game pass along with the console. Price shot up to 1.9k iinm Wow... that's kinda con ppl ...self buy 3 years also only cost extra RM660 + USD20 if you dun have CC total cost would be RM1400~1499 for series S alone. But top up 6 months only, ugh, GH really... |

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Nov 16 2020, 08:04 PM) I am very tempted to remove my pre-order deposit from GH, after their PS5 fiasco. I had similar experience few years back on the NES Mini preorderDon’t feel like supporting money grabbin companies man. my preorder shop increased the price of the console at launch, citing their supplier increase the price hence they have to increase also, the problem is I found out most other shops they honored their PO price told them it's unethical to increase the price at launch, even I can afford the price increase and very desperate for the NES mini, so I cancelled my PO with them and end up without a NES Mini till today. Did I regret my decision that day? Nope, I'm glad in stand by my principal for not supporting any unethical shops FYI, that shop has since folded, got too many bad reps So even if GH today is selling a XsX at RM1299 super discount price I won't buy from them also. It's not the matter of monies, it's the matters of principle. This post has been edited by greyshadow: Nov 17 2020, 09:33 AM |

It's not the matter of monies, it's the matters of principle. In fact, I really don’t think that GH is aware that KPDNKK exist - especially for a retail chain, you can’t just change prices as and when you like. This is totally breaching the anti-profiteering act and if a brand already ‘committed’ a selling price to the consumer, they must commit it. It’s the risk they are willing to take. We can still afford their selling price, no doubt about that - like what you’ve said, it’s principle. |

QUOTE(Witchblade @ Nov 17 2020, 09:35 AM) Both are good of course. But I'll list the positives versus PS5:1. Incredible list of backwards compatible title. Series X/S has backwards compatibility with Xbox One, Xbox 360 and original Xbox. PS5 is only backwards compatible with PS4 titles 2. Your profile and game saves are stored in the cloud. If you have an existing Xbox profile on PC or Xbox One, your profile and saves will automatically be carried over when you sign in to the new console with the same profile. Saves are not migrated automatically on PS5. You need to copy over manually. 3. If you have existing Xbox One or Xbox 360 titles in an external hard drive, they will run on the new console just by plugging it to a USB port. No redownloading necessary. 4. Smart Delivery allows you to own the previous gen (Xbox One) and current gen (Xbox Series S/X) games in one purchase. If you already own the Xbox One version, there is no need to buy another copy, as the game will be updated to use Series S/X assets and run them in that mode. PS5 does not have anything equivalent to Smart Delivery. Games like Spiderman Miles Morales do exist on PS4 and PS5, but they are two separate games. Playing the PS4 version on PS5 does not give you the PS5 version. It will just run on PS4 backwards compatible mode. Do take note that not all games support Smart Delivery, like Devil May Cry V. 5. This might not matter to some people, but Xbox Series X is more powerful than PS5. Theoretically 3rd party games should look / play better on Xbox Series X versus PS5. Just like how most 3rd party games look better on Xbox One than PS4 Pro, the trend should continue on Series X. Series S is another story though. It will play the same games as Series S, but at a maximum resolution of 1440p only. 6. This also might not matter to some people, but Xbox Series X/S can output to 1440p resolution. PS5 is locked only to 1080p or 4k resolution. Why does this matter? If you plan to play on a 1440p monitor, you will be able to select this resolution on Xbox. On PS5 you will be forced to use 1080p only. 7. Xbox Gamepass Ultimate is a fantastic service that's only available on Xbox. First party Microsoft games are on Gamepass on release day, so you don't need to buy them. And they will not be removed from the service. There are also a lot of 3rd party games, and they're not only old games. EA Play was also recently added to Gamepass Ultimate, so you can play EA titles like Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order as well. You can also buy the game permanently at a slight discount if you are a Gamepass subscriber. |

Oh yeah, quick resume is also a great feature on Xbox. Somehow missed that one. |
