Yes, you can customize it on your own.
Camera quality to me .. so far still good enough based on such pricing for a cellphone with 5MP capability. Under certain types of lighting environment the camera quality will de-grade.

You can come over to Lowyat Plaza and survey around .. there are Original and some 'Other' brand as well. Compare the price and you will know ..

The only problem is the jog dial which I feel loosy .Is it common?

Well, as long as the dial returns to its original point it should be fine How loose is it?

Anyway, been using the Viewty for a year. I must say its an awesome phone with a damn good camera and video playback(DiVx FTW!!)

The ONE and ONLY one drawback is its speed normal usage is fine. Nightmare hits me when I access multimedia functions like videos..songs..etc. Heck, I can't even access My Music because it LITERALLY takes forever to load and update and whatever. I have no choice but to access through My Sounds but it takes around 30seconds at least too...much better BUT that's not what I expect Viewing pictures gives me migraines as its freaking embarassing to load in front of my peers.

Just wondering, has anyone experienced this? Just a thought, it claims it can only support up to 2gb of memory card size but I chug in a 4GB memo(according to ku990.co.uk which is no longer available, it will work) and yes it does. I get all my songs and stuff but in Settings they only show that my '2GB' card is full. Does all this ordeal have anything to do with the card?

Let me answer some of the questions for you.

All LG phones are like that, they are slow when you are accessing multimedia files such as music or videos. There is something to do with their firmware with the suffix a,b,c. Check out all these firmwares and see which one works best for you.

The phone can support up to 4GB indirectly. You can insert as much files as you want to your memory card but never reformat your card with Viewty. Viewty will only displays your card as 2GB maximum irregardless of 4GB or 16GB card you're using.

Can the shortcut menu on the home screen be edited? I mean i want to add the music player on the shortcut menu.....is it possible?

since LG KU990 Viewty fully touch screen, would it support game like those in 5800 or ipod touch/ipod touch?

of cos not.. those games in 5800 and ipod are working under symbian and apple os only (*.sis or *.ipa)

viewty supports only java game which is in *.jar format.. it is executable in the phone
