"Apple Launches Extended Holiday Return Policy, Return Deadline Set for January 8, 2020"
Not sure if you guys have the offer above in Malaysia but here in the US, I can buy a unit to try out and return it a month later if I am not happy with the product. Decided to settle on the 8-core base unit without upgrades. And test it out "kaw-kaw" for a month. Cheers!
I think they been running extended return grace period during the holidays.
I recall few years back, there's no Apple no-question-asked return policy even in US. Walmart shitty products have 3 months return policy! Back then, Apple USA had two weeks return grace period but only if defective, if return simply you don't like it, you only get store credit.
Guys, new member here. I'm thinking of getting the new 16-inch to replace my 2013 13.3-inch MBP.
Normal use, some video and photo editing. Pushing almost to the max of my 512GB SSD and 16GB ram once in a while. Sometimes needing a restart. Do you guys think the 16GB ram will be enough with the better CPU etc or should I pay the enormous amount for the 32GB? Thanks!
watch through this video, i think its simplify enough of getting what you need according to what you want to do. honestly, 64gb is very overkill unless you run VM alot or you already know, you need it. just ordered a customize 32gb with 5500 8gb on the base 2.3ghz 8-core over the phone. find it funny you cant do a customize back-order directly at the Apple store, only sell you what they have on hand instead

Thank you. May decide on the 32gb. Those ones are not in stock in apple store. Have to order.

Things have changed.... for the best.
I think a lot of Asians abusing this to the max. Can “borrow” a computer for a project and then return it. Meanwhile just buy a Macbook Air for daily use.

It's the culture i guess. Middle Easterners are the same way. However for Asians, Japanese may be the exception.
simply the slowest laptop model at this price range
lowest performance.
Unfortunately Apple is very smart. They get you more and more invested in their products until you can no longer leave. Started with a Mac, then iphone, then watch.

Well, yes, that's the good one on how to separate between iMac and 16-inch. For me, if put aside portability, I would prefer bigger screen, so iMac would be my ideal upgrade, since my MBP is dated back mid 2012.
MS products meaning Office? why? not good on the Mac OS?
its buggy for excel... there's a lot of issues on power query etc... wont even talk about powerbi/tableau etc... havent tested those in years.. but aint gonna be another tester on mac when windows versions are always working on every level.

I see. Thanks for reply. This now makes me do more research b4 jumping onto Mac OS. Thought it was much better. Apple should fix this otherwise more will stick to Windows since Office is important to all.
