Guys, new member here. I'm thinking of getting the new 16-inch to replace my 2013 13.3-inch MBP.
Normal use, some video and photo editing. Pushing almost to the max of my 512GB SSD and 16GB ram once in a while. Sometimes needing a restart. Do you guys think the 16GB ram will be enough with the better CPU etc or should I pay the enormous amount for the 32GB? Thanks!
watch through this video, i think its simplify enough of getting what you need according to what you want to do. honestly, 64gb is very overkill unless you run VM alot or you already know, you need it. just ordered a customize 32gb with 5500 8gb on the base 2.3ghz 8-core over the phone. find it funny you cant do a customize back-order directly at the Apple store, only sell you what they have on hand instead

That price confirm not SG. his different with mine is only the GPU 8gb vs 4gb. the rest is the same. corporate program price? mine only deduct SGD 300+.

Did you go with the 8gb GPU? Didnt think of upgrading the GPU. Should have done it. Anyway, will play with it first and see how. If need to upgrade baru return and order again.
yeah. i do, its like the cheapest upgrade for +SGD140 only.
newb MacOS question, is the separate partition thing as easy as explained in google/youtube? so i can just separate/create a new partition from my only 1TB main ssd just like below?
Anyone knows roughly how long it will takes for a customized macbook to arrive? ordered a base 16 inch and bump up ram to 32gb + 1tb storage, today is the 5th day i ordered yet still in processing hmm
mine took like.......2 weeks? ordered on 23rd Nov, received on 5th December. The processing is soooo long. when they ship it on 3rd Dec, it only took 2 days to get to me.
Guess its selling like a hot-chip with so many back order. 1st time bought a lappie without freebie
thanks for the link. it explain in very detail. only a few weeks with MacOS, in someway it feels so advance to me. much more straightforwards than window 10. except that Close but not Quit thing. wonder can i just QUIT it everytime i press X instead.
