I thinking getting 16gb not 32gb.

There is minor lag now
*
Then 16GB is more worth it, compared to 32GB, still feel price of 32GB quite high. Here's the other link that tested 32GB on the ThinkBook 13s that say it is compatible:

Ya saw already in WhatsApp group.
Anyway my Yoga C940 I7-1065G7 with 3733mhz ram good for photo editing and doing some multimedia task.
Not as good for heavy software like autocad/revit.
Tried twins installation failed for autodesk Revit.
Hahah.
I already expected.
Unlike comet lake i7-10510U cpu can do many designer works.
*
That ram speed for Yoga C940 is really high, 16.0GB LPDDR4X 3733 LPDDR4X Soldered 3733MHz,

all this while only hear 2400Mhz and 2666Mhz on most Lenovo models only.

Very nice laptop but need at least RM5,299.00 and above to buy just the base model.

Edit: Is the picture above side by side with Yoga S730?

kuci_mayong yesterday went to courts , they have Yoga S940 very slim and thin with lighter weight.
Carry up like a Acer swift 5, but price also awesome.

So expensive, you save like rm3000-4000 just by buying from Malaysia website I think.

I bought the same RAM, from the same shop on 11.11, around rm240. You’re getting a better deal for rm220.

I got this to match the soldered RAM already on my laptop as it’s same part number.

So this ram that I bought for 225 is compatible? ayam big noob on computers blush.gif
*
Should be fine, ram mixing is totally fine.
As long your laptop takes ddr4 sodimm, they are pretty standard and work together with other ddr4 sodimm.

Sodimm = the small ram sticks for laptops.

Hmm I got rm50 voucher . I guess I wait until 8.12.19 see can drop further . If bassd on your rm240 means it will only be rm190 with my voucher
*
For me price drop 11.11 from RM 279 to rm269. Then got store voucher rm10, and Lazada platform voucher rm20 (this one really no idea how it appeared, like auto included and didn’t expect it, so I’m happy manage save more).

Also fine for Thinkbook running only at 2400MHz on single channel?
*
Yeah won't have issue and can run fine. DDR4 sodimm is standard for all, they all should work no matter which brand you buy.

Also, the 2666Mhz just downclocks to 2400Mhz

WHy i see youtube this S model called ideapad? shouldn't it be yoga?
*
Western market its called Ideapad 730s
Asian market and Europe Market it is Yoga S730

Call it Yoga is better because
ideapad = low price/quality
yoga = premium

Calling it Yoga is more suitable as its premium quality and price, nearly RM4K base price here in Malaysia.

I think best to call Lenovo CS directly and ask:

How come , now because a student laptop 🤣🤣🤣
*
Lol different reviewer will say different things. Besides student laptop, also hear that this is for:

SOHO/Small Business laptop
Thinkpad that looks like ideapad
Pro-sumer (which is higher status than consumer) laptop
Macbook air alternative
Laptop for millennial office workers

Edit: Not many student can pay RM2800 for this though (assuming no FAMA support), and even if can, they will rather go with gaming laptop (more value for the price).

At least they has come with USB type C charging port for optional
*
Yeah actually after getting use to USB-C charging now i see it is much much better than slim tip. Just need to be gentle when plucking it into the port (feel like can snap/break the usb-c tip cause the laptop is bigger and heavy - not like smartphone)

To be honest T13s nothing much special than ThinkPad or ideapad, anyway for me T495, X395 still the best ....
actually I dun have T495 with me.

For me less issue already consider good laptop.

Since T13 wifi card , ram and SSD can upgrade as well.
Over there is a bonus added

Just I dun like is slim tip and selling higher price.
*
You tried T490 already ma, don't think T495 any different. Only benefit is T495 is cheaper than T490 by RM1000-RM2000.

Thinkbook 13s is overall good laptop. very happy with it. Although sometimes I think no need two laptops but really feel regret if let go. So just keep it for now.
