They both have double heat sink!

I always thought that was limited to Ryzen model only.
*
QUOTE(Benefon @ Oct 30 2019, 01:55 PM)
Actually they both are identical

Benefon Just found out actually T490 without graphics card only have one heat sink, the model with graphics card has two heat sinks. One advantage of your T490 that you purchased.

Is T495 better cooled than T490?

Also, Lenovo quite detail in keeping records about their system, can find all the parts used in the laptop from their website:

https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/my/en/products...play/compatible

If search the ram, they even list down RAMs they use for the laptop and even attach photos.

This guy T490 had single heatsink pipe only
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-ThinkP...U.424838.0.html

Meaning that T495 has better feature than T490 without dedicated graphics

Better airflow still prefer that comes with 2 fans instead of single big fan.

Cooling wise don’t do charging while using solve an heating issue, also no problem for hot air blow direct on right hand.
*
My T495 hardly the fan turns on, now after few months use and after few updates, even when charging also, the fan does not turn on while using at the same time. Very impress with what AMD manage to do.

L series thinkpad should be ok right?
*
Why didn't just keep the thinkbook 13s?

Question about Pd charging and thinkbook 13s.

My charger is Aukey 45w output for pd and its aukey cable 2.4A for pd charging and my new slim tip converter. All In photos. Issue is my laptop tested using both slim tips is showing charging then not charging then charging then not...

user posted image

I don't have anything uses pd charging atm and it's quick charging using pd hole it works. Is it the slim tip issue or the cable or the charger issue?
*
Looks like your issue is not the aukey charger or cable, cause those two are able to give you power of 60W max together.

It could be your usb-c to slim tip converter that is the issue, maybe try a different slim tip converter.

Lenovo also sell official one but pricey:

No the output for charger is 45w Aukey wrote in fine print. I honestly thought I bought a big output pd charger. So it's the slim tip issue? Should I return to lazada?
*
Then i think issue not with the slim tip converter, just that it is not getting the power it needs. base on the lazada page, the slim tip converter requires atleast 60W

user posted image

So you can do two things here:
1) borrow from a friend who has usb-c charger that can give you 60W and test it with the slim tip converter OR
2) try find a slim tip converter that can be use with your aukey 45W charger/cable

I also thought it was 74.5W when read the headline, quite misleading, yet people all give it 5 stars on the review page.

It's damn expensive piece of garbage. I didn't return at the time as I was chasing my xiaomi 9t pro delays. I honestly thought it was the stated output until I read the manual about 45w. I guess it's Rm200 waste. Anyway thanks for heads up on 60w min info.
*
At least can charge 3 devices at once.

But i know the pain, 45W and 65W charging is like night and day difference, i only use 45W when computer is still turned on cause it won't get hot while charging and using at the same time.

Don't know how true but heat generally bad for battery, read somewhere that slower charging is better for the protection of the battery.

This video is not exactly accurate... removal of the screws is only the first step. the prying of the plastic back is not detailed in this.

I watched this one which details the kopek part.. which still looks scary to me la..

*
that is basically it, just need to use a card/pry tool like him to pry open the clips. so you slide around the whole laptop until all the "clips" are released (this is the hard part). Once the clips are fully release, the back cover comes off easily.

In terms of pricing, the Lenovo ThinkBook 14 will start at an SRP of RM3439, while the ThinkBook 15 will have an SRP of RM 4299.

Where those people who sold for RM1800? Now Lenovo up the price of the ThinkBook series shocking.gif
