im using the road5 now...yes its very good in the rain and pretty good in the dry too. but i still prefer the metzeler roadtec01. i have more confidence in the roadtec and have never had any unintentional slips whereas ive had a couple with the road5. for some reason the road5 just doesnt feel confidence inspiring.

also the road5 is much lazier to lean into corners while the roadtecs leans with minimal effort.

once the road5 is gone, ill be going back to roadtec or if curious enough will probably try out whatever version of the Bridgestone T3x series is out at the time. unlikely ill be going back to road5...may not even consider the road6.

Yeah HWM. Its the only type available in Malaysia iinm.

Stiffer? Im assuming the roadtec coz HWM. Honestly never noticed difference in stiffness.

Anyway...roadtec01 has new version which is roadtec01 SE. Same thread, compound etc except the thread at the edges has been shortened to give more grip.during dry cornering. Have not seen anyone using it though n dunno abt availability here

yeah, metzeler distributorship is not very clear to me, but can find, and price varies a bit
my fren use the old roadtec01, 12k km reach TWI, 2 years plus, then the compound macam hardening and chip/cracking so changed

Hi I like the looks on the MT Streetfighter helmets

Those motocross type

Are they any good?
*
LOL. Try and see lor. Lets just say quite a number of people here hasn't had good experiences with MT helmets (myself included - I had a Atom SV). But then again thats a 500rm helmet, so dont expect too much. But the streetfighter is unnecessarily complicated. Its going to be loud, and I dont trust the removable chin bar. Looks damn good though.

What do you mean a motocross type? those ones with no visor?

You can try ADV style helmets if that is your thing. What and how do you ride?

ADV helmets tend to be less aerodynamic, heavier and louder compared to equivalently priced sport or sport touring helmets.

only if u keep the peak on... i have an ADV and i ride a naked. took the peak off and its one of the better helmets that cuts through the wind compared to my 2 sport touring helmets (and 2 jet helmets). the beak on ADVs are usually sharper and really helps to cut through the wind.

as for noise, i cant say coz the ADV i have has 17 points of ventilation so noise is gonna be bad no matter wat and its known to be a noisy helmet anyway.
