QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Dec 23 2019, 03:04 PM) You can try go over to Welly Shah Alam search for Chris. I just asked him earlier and he say just come over he'll measure your head and see first. He also brings in HJC though not much models I think, more focused to Shoei. Go over and see how first ba. Going there is free, scared kena poison only become expensive welly bring hjc kah? as far as i know NKS is the official distributor for HJC. the thing is i dont know if they still bring HJC nowdays. I got my IS-17 from them like 5 years ago and been scratching my head to find the parts for my helmet (ie the sponge thingie and my visor) locally.

QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Dec 24 2019, 10:14 AM) There's quite a few dealers for HJC in Malaysia, official list on hjc Malaysia website https://m.facebook.com/notes/hjc-helmet-mal...36503609729324/For klang Valley Welly also all operates like independently wan. Like the Shah Alam brings in more Shoei, while another branch brings in more HJC and the price can be different even for the same product well i guess i can try and ask them about the helmet parts. the shell is still in a good condition, just the side cheeks sponge and the visor are quite worn out.

i still have my trusty HJC IS-17 i bought years ago.
Just change the cheekpads and the pinlock. Luckily nowdays u can find the part easily at shopee. last time i wanted to buy no where selling it except for amazon or ebay which the price.... haih....
was thinking of getting a plain matte black shoei x3 spirit for my long distance ride.

QUOTE(myroy @ Sep 22 2021, 05:48 PM) I measured my head around 57cm (which is M) But when I go to helmet shop, M size seems too small Now I'm using L (HJC CS-15) Seems this is my first time buying a full-face helmet, I'm a bit struggle and feel a bit uncomfortable at my cheek. And i feel that my FOV a bit restricted (before this just using normal helmet on my kapcai) well one thing u can do is change the cheekpad. shopee got the cheekpad. find the one that is less thick from yours. usually the cheekpad will push ur cheek a bit but i think its normal. giving it the tightness without gripping ur forehead and make u dizzy.

QUOTE(alexei @ Apr 18 2022, 11:48 AM) My 90's 2 stroke have less problem though, but consumes oil and spews smoke. Haha. I missed riding the 2 stroke bike. Oil change? once a year regardless. 2t? was like rm5 for the shell 2t that smell nice one. the engine jammed? let it cool for 5-10 minutes then u'll be off again. the only thing i hate about the 2 stroke are the carbon build ups. my standard exhaust was so clogged that i need a wire to poke in the exhaust. then my friend lent me his BM Power chamber which got me in trouble for a couple of times with the authority lol... good times... good times..

QUOTE(alexei @ Apr 19 2022, 07:59 AM) nowadays no carbon buildup lo, but 2T more expensive dy the other day did a top end service, everything clean except one of the reed petals broke off Yeah the carbon build up was because of using the cheap 2t ones. I was in form 4-5 when i got myself a moped. That was my 1st owned bike and u know as a secondary school boy, money is on the tight side so usually if i cant afford the shell 2t wangi ones.. i’ll go for the cheapest ones. Then theres the old age bike too. So carbon/sludge build up is not too weird. I missed riding mopeds lol. Sometimes the most simple ones is the most fun ones i say.

QUOTE(alexei @ Apr 20 2022, 04:40 PM) waht your preferred tyre for the gixxer? can suggest a few? right now im using diablo rosso 3 so the tyre is decent enough. thou i feel its a little slippery when the roads are wet. I mean im not really particular about tyres but if u want my limited recommendations, i'd say the best tyre ive use is diablo supercorsa v2 (that thing grips on hot weather) but fade really fast. Shinko was ok for thousand KM but started to feel slippery after that. For budget tyres i really prefer conti sportattack. affordable and quite good in hot and wet. Beside i only got my gixxer for like a year++ and nowdays (with rain and all) i kindda seldom use it. However... i ride to work today and as usual.... its raining cats and dogs here...

QUOTE(alexei @ Apr 21 2022, 08:33 AM) the feedback about Shinko is priceless, normally we get reviews on new tyres but not as they wear. wanted to try Shinko but that is now not worth it SCv2 of course la... conti tyres a bit hard to find here, but i'll keep an eye appreciate it very mush, heard S22 is the best dont sleep on michelin pilot road 5 also. also try looking at metzeler line (sportec m5 or m9 or interact model)
