lots of alternatives as well, cheap or expensive, Redmi, Xiaomi, Sony can cater all the needs for wireless earphones. I think it's the tech to move forward i/o the nostalgic wired earphones.

I need the wired option for my two-hour or sometimes longer teleconference calls. There's always a risk of your wireless options running out of battery if you forget to charge it!

and soon other flagships will follow as usual despite early resistance. The mid-rangers will fight on saying "hey look we still have ports"

Nobody is resisting. Wireless charging was already here on androids long long long before Apple started to introduce it. whistling.gif What I'm saying is that, Apple rather than coming up with innovation, they are actually trying to milk every dollar out of consumers like you and me. What's the issue with having a wire charging our device since we already have wireless charging. Wont it be the best of both worlds to have both type of charging on our phones rather than one. Can you imagine how much money they could make of you since you would need to replace your wired charger at home, in your office, in your car, your gf's house etc.

But then as usual, Fags will be Fags. How can Apple do any wrong? rolleyes.gif

Yes. Some never car models comes wireless charging ports for smartphones as well. nod.gif But the question is, how many % of cars or furniture are adopting wireless charging? Should we change our cars or furniture just to make sure it can charge our "only wireless charging phone"? rolleyes.gif

think you dont realize how insane furniture biz is.
the demand is more than supply to a point now its problem with skilled workers at factory and installation.
my bet is by 2025 at-least 40% of household in malaysia will have wireless charging in their furniture preinstalled.

it COMES with it. its not you change your furniture for it.
when you HAD to buy something it came with it.

cars owners wont even reach that kind percentage.

wireless charging is the standard. since the base standard for safe phone charging is at 5w.. so why not just go wireless. apple surely would have just checked their stats on how many ppl actually plugged their phone to sync with itunes.

afaik its because of the large glass arnd the lenses is the cause.

some ppl have it and some dont.
some ppl blame it on first few batch coating issue.

Actually the point is a portless phone not wireless only.
Soon that will become a ‘thing’.
Yes true. Apple will go all out to milk and people are ready and waiting to be milked. This year’s iPhones with stove top selling well when prior to launch, based on leaks was branded ugly.
Just like the headphone jack, never thought Samsung would remove it.

The earliest leaks are closer to pixel 4 than to iphone 11 pro and max. And yes pixel 4 is ugly.

Why the difference?

Because they have more lenses and they didn't hide it.
They instead expounded on it.
Turning it into a statement.
Accentuating it with flair.

Not an afterthought like most Android phones which looks crap especially Samsung Note10.

While I'm not against technological advancement, I just don't understand why they have to totally remove the wired charging. Just leave it alone until wireless fast charging tech reaches maturity stage.

To be fair to Apple, other Android manufacturers removed the very important headphone jack too. Why? To make you buy their wireless earphones and to make your favourite earphones obsolete.

Because the rest wanted to jump on the milking band wagon. They felt not fair Apple take all the BT earphone money. Spare some for the rest.

Biggest joke till today when first Pixel launched, Google had a field day about Apple removing the jack while they kept it. Then Pixel 2 launched ...

That's the way it works, bro. Apple does something, the others mock them, then eventually copy them laugh.gif
