last minute upgrade due to the deadline by about 8am today.

I do not think that there is any other company will fix problem for devices such old. haha.

Yes. Most importantly, anything u can deal with Apple directly. Apple is known to have the best customer service in the world. Even there is any defect, you can ask for one to one exchange at apple’s expenses including shipping cost.

And yet Mac City 1U say cannot claim.
I will go to the same guy at Mac City 1U to show him my new unit and mock him.

I did my homework, online support chat with Apple first, Apple ask to send to the nearest authorised reseller to send in to Apple store for evaluation.

When I walk in to Mac City and show the guy the manufacturing defect and he claim it’s cosmetic defect, he immediately shut me down saying cannot claim, 100% confirmed cannot claim for cosmetic issue/ defect confidently speaking English with US accent (so action and proud)

So I must walk in find the manager and mock his staff which he employed from US for incompetence and ignorance.

I standby the receipt from machines (warranty claim) and Apple (change of serial number) just in case the manager is also an arrogant and ignorant person.
Actually it’s the same colour, it’s the bright lighting at machines counter.

Yes true. Apple will go all out to milk and people are ready and waiting to be milked. This year’s iPhones with stove top selling well when prior to launch, based on leaks was branded ugly.
Just like the headphone jack, never thought Samsung would remove it.

Certainly worth to wait for iPhone 12. I got a feeling the sale of iPhone 12 will be as good as iPhone 6 Plus. Those who have not upgraded since iPhone 6 Plus will join in the queue to change phones next year.

This is also why I hold on to my iPhone X + iPhone 6 Plus still.

Folks, would like to check, is it normal for iPhones to loose battery health 4% after 3 months of usage?
My battery health indicate 96%.
Bought this 11 pro on end September 2019.

In the past of using past androids flagship, only after a year then only battery health lower than 98%.

i will also mean that this year iphones will likely to have scalpers market due to the demand vs supply.

It's super pain.

Manage to find out that it's the earpiece sticker that has turn red due to liquid. Sim tray sticker is perfectly white and fine.
Even the service center was dumbfound that the liquid entered to the earpiece which was supposed to withstand substantial amount of liquid on sweat through phone talking.

Anyways, I'm trying to escalate this to Apple directly to see if i could get them to honor this warranty for this matter. And I am even highly suspect that it's a LEMON UNIT !

Done those research and no info found on this matter. The SIM tray possible water entry has less resistance compare to earpiece. So should a water by any chance enter, it would be the SIM tray more than its earpiece.

After spending 4 hours in few seperate calls with Apple was able to honor my warranty. It was also the first time the Senior Agent handles such case.

So this time, warranty is permissible. Lesson learned, avoid water at all cost!
Resellers follow the policy given, can't blame them. But since we can still deal with Apple and let the resellers work backend, it's alright. As long they do something. Similar to our cars on the road, most are resellers anyways. Haha.

it took 2 hours 18 minutes to fully backup my almost full 256GB iphone X via iTunes using USB-A to lightning cable on my MacBook. The USB 2.0 transfer speed on iPhone is really killing people.

I believe iPhone 11 Pro/Pro Max are using the same standard also?

Although the X and XS are good phones in their own right, I find the 11 Pro is when Apple finally got it right with this new phone design, with the better battery life, faster and more reliable Face ID and the night mode photos.  Can't wait to see the 12!

So my IP 11 Pro from one moment to another decided to commit suicide. I was reading whatsapp when i saw a little glitch on the screen and dang phone shutdown and dead. 7 months old, pharmacy quality clean, never dropped, never put in water.

Brought it back to machines in midvalley, i purchased there, they are dodging the problem "can't do anything la". I was redirected to call apple care singapore, they told me to book an appointment with itworld. After 2 painful weeks they identified "unrepairable damage to logic board and cpu" and want to give me a refurbished phone. So i was like, now the serial number on the original box and the phone won't match, no extended warranty, how can you ensure the same sh*t will not happen again? The guy was clueless and shaking "sir we dont have an answer". I said i want a refund, they are dodging the problem, no one wants to be responsible. He told me to call another number and "we cant do anything sir".

Is this a joke?
