While I'm not against technological advancement, I just don't understand why they have to totally remove the wired charging. Just leave it alone until wireless fast charging tech reaches maturity stage.
To be fair to Apple, other Android manufacturers removed the very important headphone jack too. Why? To make you buy their wireless earphones and to make your favourite earphones obsolete.
cause its moving forward. To be fair to Apple, other Android manufacturers removed the very important headphone jack too. Why? To make you buy their wireless earphones and to make your favourite earphones obsolete.
earphone jacks requires space and it affects waterproofing etc. also the old jack easily if you are unlucky can cause issues. still remembered wife i5 suddenly no sound with no headphones. checked and saw something wrong with the jack that the phone assumed there was something plugged in. even after cleaning the jack same issue. contact pins all clean and no damage. had to put in and out few times until it got off from that state.
wireless charging i am for it as long they allow higher transfer speeds via wifi or bluetooth to sync with itunes for backup.
the ppl seriously affected this are those who go site work for hours and days and require the phone to plug in hotspot rather than bluetooth
cons of cables.
also in-terms of security. already now theres HACKED cables with malware.
battery degrade. i find cables especially apples easily degrade. the number of them i threw away (all look new no kinks etc) because on my usb tester showed issues. i think this is y the mfi standard for iphone 11 etc.
so i am totally FOR wireless charging since its only 7watts vs 5watts and dont see any issues with it. because wireless charger either works at rated wattage or dont.
