wah headache lor like this......if i open decent volume? 1 bar or 2 bar? is it ok?
that doesnt matter if loud or not. as the andrew said, got resonance problem.
i dont want to explain, since i already write my story couple of times here...
but the bottomline is, if u got a speaker that's too big for your room, it will underperform significantly.
u may try checking out Edifier S530 or Edifier DA5000Pro. im pretty sure that one suit your room size.

u know.. i've been wondering. isn't the Quality of the s730 that is what matters when buying the speaker ? it doesn't mean that u must crank the volume of more expensive speaker just because it can right ?
so why does the room size matter ? resonance and such can be tone down with acoustic foam and such, no ?
room size matters! the smaller the room, the sound cannot spread. and, some speakers are designed differently.
small speakers like example, edifier MP300, is meant for close-field listening. it will sound good if u listen <0.5m to the speaker.
but for the case of bigger speaker, (not sure with S730) they are meant for far listener. technically, they provide better sounds at a further distance.
if your room is small, it reflect the sound and it will mix up. u can try acoustic foam, but the "sweetspot" of the speaker is still far.
so although the echo is absorbed, the sweetspot is still beyond your sitting position, cause room is too small.
and of course, your 1st question, some ppl thought bigger mean can blast... not always. the better the speaker, the more "quality" it gives.
so beside more quantity, more quality should be given.
