Wah, cant wait this saturday, gonna COD for MX5021. What soundcard best suit with this speaker?

I am still searching for a superb speaker system.

currently, debating between z5500 & Bose Companion @3 ii & Companion @5. Any idea? Both Bose system only 60w & 80w RMS only. Where else the z5500 is 500w. But a lot of ppl told me that the z5500 is not good or perhaps the bass is lousy.

any idea?

for music lover,i recomend edifier m3300,gurantee u satisfy

Hey guys, I need some help here. Hope you guys can assist me.

I have an Altec Lansing 251 5.1 system (yes, yes I know it sarks ) and recently, the center speaker isn't giving out any sound (well, it does, VERY the EXTREMELY softly) and the other 4 speakers recently(yesterday ) started showing signs of cracking.

My questions are as follows:

1. Is it possible to replace/repair the center speaker alone? Bought them in '05 so I don't think it's under warranty anymore.
2. Would it be worth it to get the system repaired(if it can even be done ) or just to get a new system?

maybe the wires or board need some inspection...
if u cant open it yourself, or diy-trial-and-error then i suggest get a new better 5.1 system. it might be a call to get a new 5.1 !

But the speakers themselves sound cracked, could they be saved(I'm thinking no but just to reconfirm)?

have u tried connecting the satellites to other multimedia speaker?
are the sounds also cracked?

also, have u tried cleaning the cable contacts with metal polish, as mine become better after polishing the 3.5mm cable with metal polish after 2 years.... lastly, if u want then try open the sub and check whether any loosen cable or dried solder..

Problem is that for "easy installation cables", each satellite has it's own head, which prevents me from testing different ports.

Well, cracks are audible on certain ranges. Aih.

I need some advise for buying a 2.1ch speaker for playing ps3. I'm gonna use a pc monitor to play ps3 thus i need a 2.1ch speaker to match it. I will b going to lowyat plaza to find one. I have a budget of rm300, anyone can give me a BEST recommendation? I will ONLY use the speaker for playing ps3.

no. my sister went for this speaker and bought EVO7. found that performance is zzzz. LAME!!!! even the simple bass and treble also cannot perform well, somemore when switch off or on the speaker will have the current sound. "POOOOOOKKKK" loudly.

by the way edifier is much more better.

Kay guys if I were to get a new 2.1 for everyday use (music, gaming, movies, in that order ), would the good ol' Altec Lansing AS4121 suffice?
