QUOTE(liutehua @ Sep 5 2019, 12:58 PM) I found one seller that sells TX3 and TX6 and I asked him directly whether TX6 got overheating issue. Saw the post already. ThanksAnd he replied yes, buy with own risk At the end, I bought TX3 from him bundled with MYPADTV subscription Still waiting for the unit by PosLambat This post has been edited by aj300: Sep 6 2019, 01:40 PM |

i just installed tx6 2 days ago..did speed test both wifi & cable only record 80-90mbps I think this caused tv channel lagging my unifi is 300 mbp and speed test on laptop & hp reaches 260mb so i think the tx6 box speed is low. still testing and checking with seller on this |

QUOTE(luxasia @ Oct 10 2019, 11:47 AM) so what cable should i use? tx6 comes in several configurations, specs can be quite diff but all are 100mbps ethernet.why wifi on laptop & phone same server can get 260 but tx6 box only 90 I test all in same room all less than 5 feet (tx6 / laptop / phone) from router all connect using 5gb some 2+16gb, some 3+32, 4+32..., some 2.4ghz only, some 2.4/5ghz. u should take a good look at the specs of what u bought. from your results, i think yours is one with 100mbps ethernet and 2.4ghz wifi only. 100mbps means max capability of the rj45 port of the box is 100mbps... getting 70-90 is a tad low; it depends on router and what app u use to test. u can change to another cat5e or cat6 LAN cable, may get 103-108; possible the cable u have is a poor one. wifi 2.4ghz should be able to do >100mbps; then again, cheap boxes having poor wifi modules are quite common. tx3mini/max is like tx6 for ethernet and wifi - 100mbps, 2.4ghz only. in contrast, a tx5max has better specs, rj45 port is gigabit. i get 830mbps with ethernet and >200mbps wifi despite my router being a mediocre one. QUOTE(luxasia @ Oct 10 2019, 02:50 PM) probably that is why 300mbps available... what wifi speed u get on any device even with 5ghz depends on your router and the device itself.i checked the box spec RJ45 ethernet port speed 100mb could be wifi card also integrated/same speed even though its 5g support my android box is tx6 4 GB ram/64GB storage therefore i can't fully utilised my 300 mb unifi as watching live HD tv because got some lagging in picture and sound stock and cheap routers, u might not even get 100mbps; better ones get 150-250; those that can get >300 will cost u rm2-3K. assuming the device is capable as well. this subject has been trashed to death: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4658454/+180 https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4658096/+1220 lastly, live hd tv streams do not require high speeds. netlfix hd/4k requires 25mbps only... in reality it only uses 8-12mbps. astrogo hd works fine with just 10mbps stable speed. other hd streams - about the same. it is when the speed is unstable that u can't stream properly. this is likely your problem. u should use ethernet for better stability; and consider buying your own better router for better wifi. QUOTE(MeToo @ Nov 18 2019, 05:42 PM) Tanix TX6 has Google Playstore, but cannot find Netflix in there, seems its not supported? It is probably called com.netflix.mediaclient as the package name. In the most unlikely but very lucky event, you could be installed with com.netflix.ninja. So I have to search for my own APKs. Any other package name is fake netflix. When fake netflix is not working, then it could be due to service clamp down. |

Cause I cant find it in PlayStore... maybe Netflix dont support Tanix/OS. Or do you mean I should sideload it into the TVbox? |

Yeah side load is probably easier because play store is very careful to only allow you to see what it thinks what you are entitled to install. |

I kinda uninstalled the pre-loaded Netflix in a spur of the moment... thought it wasnt such a hot idea about 5 seconds after I clicked "Uninstall" Yeah side load is probably easier because play store is very careful to only allow you to see what it thinks what you are entitled to install. |

Without getting into too much details :- I am guessing this are the various netflix apk :- True Netflix com.netflix.mediaclient ( for standard Android ) :- https://m.apkpure.com/netflix/com.netflix.mediaclient True Netflix com.netflix.ninja ( for Android TV, not workable on your system ) https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/netflix-inc/ Fake netflix ( too many, one example below ) https://moddroid.com/netflix.html IraSutton liked this post
