Weren’t you the one that said they refunded you the money and cancel your order?

You went from that to first person receiving it!

Just noticed something Wtf all the screws are rusting

Can you confirm it’s rust?

I believe that’s not rust, that’s like some safety rubber they put around the screw that helps during the screwing process, so automation screwing process doesn’t damage the laptop or when you screw back the screw yourself too.

On some laptops you’ll notice different color like blue.

Finally got my trackpad screen protector for T495. Now the trackpad feels much better. Also gives rubberized “sandpaper” feeling which I enjoy.

Wow... habis la your finger prints. Your fingertips become rough like sandpaper later.  laugh.gif

Is not really sandpaper, its "rubbery" smooth but have a "textured" feel. Without this trackpad protector, the T495 has a "chalkboard" type of feeling when using.

Same like us, on held for a long time.

I guess they gonna compound all/most (KL/KlangValley) shipments and clear it all in one go.

Apparently it got cleared through kastam at long last... Logically speaking tomorrow can reach.

Its not rusting.. its loctide (to tighten the screw and make sure it is hard to be taken off) and also it will indicate whether you opened the screw before or not (warranty) which is why some blue some red/orange
*
Thanks for the clarification. No way Lenovo will jeapardize their new ThinkBook brand, you can see they want this line up to succeed.

Here's more on loctite for others: TIL The blue paint on laptop screws is actually threadlocker meant to keep the screws from loosening due to vibration.

Edit: Seems the color has meaning, maybe you should not open up your unit.
QUOTE
The blue colour is for "Medium Strength", which means you will be able to remove the screw with hand tools. If you see the red coloured stuff means you will destroy the screw before the glue breaks.

KopiChia, how easy is the disassembly process, day on a scale of 1-10 with 1 been real easy and 10 is extremely hard.

Is it risky with high chance of clips broken off like some laptops out there nowadays?
*
KopiChia Not sure if you answered this but was it difficult removing the screws seeing that it might have been "red" loctite? Also how is the disassembly?

Too bad no more selling, but port wise quite limited compared to Thinkpad, lucky they include the usb-c hub with it.

Black Friday is not big in Malaysia but I do think something for everyone to look out for.

In US seems the models on offer has been leaked.

Leaked 2019 Lenovo Black Friday & Cyber Monday Ad (30 pages)

Malaysia itself has a Black Friday site:

Can use with eGPU or thunderbolt hub
Chassis too slim might be generate more heat, cause the thunderbolt can supply 100w PD for laptop as well.
Mean while u using eGPU the laptop has full of energy in real time
*
So if want eGPU use, better go for some laptop with better cooling?

If you wanna use more eGPU can try to get integrated graphics card and body more thicken such as E series or X1 Extreme Gen 2, the sadness is E series without thunderbolt 3, otherwise that is great laptop.
The laptop has enough leg room can keep more cooling for all time.

Just want to share something I found, seems the CITI45 has a "floor price". For example, for X1 Extreme Gen 2, you are not able to go above RM10,000.

Means as long as you configure your laptop below the "floor price", they allow you to use the CITI45 discount code. If you go above, you cannot use the CITI45 code anymore.

Already found it out.
Configuration to i7-9850H they las not allow you to buy.
Or put back i7-9750H with 64gb ram they also not allow you get.
Remain to 32gb ram maximum only

So its more to configuration, not "floor price"?
