I ok de, no rush to get a new one. Just try my luck. If cant sell, then i just use 13s, lol.

Since u say x395 very good, i feel no harm trying.
*
If your target is x395 better just keep the thinkbook13s.
It’s almost the same machine. Unless benchmarks say otherwise. I’m going try look online see if can find some benchmarks to compare the two.

Check out these scores, for example cinebench r15 score. While the two systems have different specs, it might not be fair to compare the two 1:1, but my point is try find somewhere similar type of benchmark and see whether worth it to change to x395 instead of keeping the thinkbook 13s.

https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-ThinkB...t.428235.0.html

https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-ThinkP...s.438975.0.html

Note: for cinebench, higher score means better.

Yup, x395. I trying to find too, but unable to find real comparison, as thinkbook is quite new.

But if what u say is true and its almost similar, then i will keep 13s. Not worth to fork out almost 1k for almost the same machine.

QUOTE(ohman @ Oct 31 2019, 08:59 PM)
not really, you should compare x390 with thinkbook.

no matter how good AMD is, there is a reason for it to sell rm500 or 1000 cheaper.

edit: again i must stress, battery life is also a key factor here. not forgetting weight factor too.

thats why ideapad has a small battery only
*
Yes all of this can be measured, that’s why I say if your target is x395, not really much difference. It may even be a step down (again this my assumption only, better rely on real life usage and stuff like benchmarks for comparison).

But I found something interesting in the notebookcheck.net link I sent you. It says this about Benefons new Yoga S730:

CODE
Our review unit outperforms the Core i7-8565U powered Yoga S730 too

He means you must look at other factors as well, like form factor, battery life, number of ports, case material etc.

S730 vs X395 both are the good.

Comparison between both.
X395 ThinkPad design vs IdeaPad design.

Compare for general only.
Cpu : both
Body : Metal vs Plastic/carbon
Screen : Both or Full laminated from S730
Keyboard : Both
Trackpad : S730 comes with glass surface smooth and accurate
Battery life : 5++ both are the same
Weight : 1.37kg vs 1.2kg S730

If for work only get X395
For entertainment get S730

Both I like but S730 more excitement for me.
Especially air vent not at the right right.

The comparison on notebookcheck.net is ThinkBook 13s vs Yoga S730

Lenovo ThinkBook 13s Laptop Review: A Business Laptop but no TrackPoint

Under "Processor" section this is what is stated:

QUOTE
The ThinkBook 13s-IWL has comparatively good CPU performance though, with it able to maintain higher CB R15 Multi 64Bit scores than the Core i5-8265U equipped ThinkPad L390 and ProBook 430 G6. Our review unit outperforms the Core i7-8565U powered Yoga S730 too, although this throttles heavily. The latter has better single-core performance, but only on account of its more powerful CPU.

Another lol statement from u, haha. Why we cant compare laptops? Whenever we compare something, its up to us to see which things we can to compare.

And whats wrong comparing amd and intel? This comparison had been discussed for years, and still being discussed and compared.

If you only wan to compare something very similar, then may as well no nid to compare, cos they are similar, lulz.

you should compare x390 with thinkbook.
are you looking for smallest? cheapest? most powerful?

its not fair to compare x395 vs thinkbook, you wont get a proper comparison.
X series vs thinkbook?

rm3000 vs rm1010?

you are getting no where with this comparison  laugh.gif

X395 price is almost same starting price with ThinkBook 13s, just we got it at promotional price.

I really enjoy my T495, but this for people making decision between AMD and Intel. Difference is not much (almost same actually)
