Its all depends on what software u use. But in general multitasking is bit better on laptop ryzen 3000 series compared to intel 8 gen whiskey lake. But on desktop, ryzen smokes intel on the same tier comparison.

If you not in a hurry, i suggest wait for next gen ryzen and see how it compares to the 10 gen intel.

But if want to buy now, the ryzen model is so much cheaper.

Not in the hurry, next Uni intake is Sept-2020. Yes, should buy then so that it can last at least 4 years.

You really cannot go wrong with either one. Ryzen gets better benchmarks on everything except single CPU performance.

But one thing people don't talk about of Ryzen because they are too busy talking about performance, is "price".

For the price you pay for a Ryzen laptop (For same equivalent CPU offered by Intel and AMD), it can be anywhere between RM500 and RM1000 difference.

I link the original post because at that time the X390 was RM2000 more expensive than the Ryzen variant X395. Now the price difference has narrowed since Ryzen is getting traction though.

Yes, Lenovo always have different sales and pre-sales from day to another.

But one thing to note is the actual discount. It may not be the same every sales, so you need to know how much/low the model you looking at can actually go before buying.

If go Ryzen better have more RAM. The APU takes atleast 2.1GB system RAM instead of the usual virtual RAM.

No, thought its like some nonsense point cashback system that waste time. Actually now only see its useful if you keep buying online from big shops like lenovo and lazada.

For example right now X395 / T495 for me is the most cheaper than 11.11 actual day offer.
Because u still can apply SHOP10 the price still lower than 3k now.
Usually after actual day the price may difference, Lenovo always playing th base price.
Even Lenovo highlight apply code got 45% discount, but the best price always at above 3K.

To me price lower price is the winner.
