The 45% off codes must use Citibank?

About par with 8250u.

If this is my purchase, I will topup a bit for R7 3700u though for as the price is only bout RM400 differences with the 45% code. 3700u has a slightly better GPU than 3500u.

I bought a 8250u dell last year for under RM2.5k (with 3 years warranty), thus this 3500u lappy cant quite convince me, may be 3700u will be give the better experience.

Even my i5-8250u is hot as fucuk...

65W PD charger with UK plug head is pretty hard to be found though.

So far only UGREEN deliver it, at a great bargain price too.

Apple has a 87W one though IIRC.

I hate 2 pins China/US charger head though, since PD charger itself is quite a bit bigger than say small phone charger, it’s legs can’t always have tight grip to travel adapters or so.

Native 3pins UK head is still my first priority, especially for Starbucks lepak purpose.

And man, had I mentioned bout the god damn 5W deficiency for Xiaomi Powerbank? LOL.

The native charger for my Dell lappy is 45W.

It’s quite CB that Xiaomi made their 45W powerbank to deliver only 40W at most... It had annoyed me to the point it will have pop up on my Dell, LOL.

How does Lenovo SG as compared to Lenovo MY?

T495 didn’t have huge discount yet here, closest only last week Lenovo SG has huge discount for it.

RM1 to 3 years pro support is exclusively for E-series AMD lappy (495 & 595) as far as I research around. T-series is charging RM399 for that.

But in my opinion, unless it’s a gaming laptop, I would mark USB PD (type C) charging as a must check list when buying laptop, if not S540-AMD seems like the perfect Lenovo to get.

Ideapad L340 is even far cheaper than them.

3500u model for RM1.8k++ while 3700u model at 2k++.

But the build quality and keyboard got Ideapad is different from Thinkpad though...

Wah, that’s bad. Limiting the upgradability of the PC. Also harder to match dual channel RAM of same size.

2500u is last gen CPU, and it’s not really recommended as it’s power consumption/thermal performance is not quite there yet.

If you just want a cheapo lappy, go Lenovo website and checkout their Idealad L340 now, 3500u model cost only RM1.8k+/- after discount. RAM you can add it separately outside, much cheaper.

Ryzen 3xxx is pretty much a APU (GPU+CPU) and their max power consumption is quite low (though it varies depending on how the OEM configure it).

From notebookcheck, they tested a max power consumption of 40W+/- for E595.

For me, I definitely will top up the additional RM6 to upgrade the charger to 65W, as 65W charger is harder to find. Also, more headroom for your charger means it may work at a lower load, putting less stress to the charger in long run.

From notebookcheck, E595 is like a perfect device for me, provided the stock 1080 250 nits display is decent enough.

Sadly the lowest price is missed (last weekend, 3500u model for 2.2k with code SPECIAL), need to wait this or upcoming weekend and see if they will pull a merdeka sale for us.

I think it support NVME, since the SSD speed is more than 6Gbps limit of SATA.

I noticed most laptop nowadays come with soldered onboard RAM + another slot for expansion.

I will choose 8GB (or for T495 even better, can select 16GB) onboard soldered RAM. Then add on another stick of RAM separately (aftermart).

Lenovo play around with the base price from day to another, best is to monitor beforehand and know the lowest/average price, then pull the trigger when there’s real sale/deal.

If you have Citibank cards, end of this month should have another sale for it.

I’ve been monitoring E495/595 since the start of this thread. The lowest it can go is bout RM2.1k (discounted) base specs. Now you go check the price got markup another 1k, LOL. I will wait for this weekend or next then see. Worst come to worst, there’s student price for 2.3k anytime now, better than nothing.

Yup, this should be the SATA interface. The limit is about 500+MBps
