Hahah seem like never did my thermal on cup before , I mean on my previous laptop.
Unless you get overheating an issue

Thermal paste shrink and flow sideways from as it ages.

It’s always cool to reapply it every 2-3 years for optimal thermal performance.

Really CB.

Wait me up when its all over, I think the 2.2k base price T495 with NIGHT is the best deal they can/will offer.

Which one?

X395 is a good deal now whether you want to max up the specs or just upgrade a little.

T495 is great too if you want to max up the specs. If just upgrade a little it’s not worth it, yesterday’s NIGHT code offer lower price.

IPS 300 nits with multi touch +RM286

IPS 400 nits + RM713

how come no touch screen more expensive? 400 nits more expensive than 300 nits with touch screen?
*
Yes, don’t be surprised that premium panels grow their prices exponentially.

I’m general, a panel’s premiumness is defined by the brightness, brightness consistency, contrast and color gamuts coverage and colour accuracy. If you want a screen that ticks most of the above parameters, be ready to pay a premium price for it.

They force you to take the WWAN (AKA mobile connection modem) together with the 400nits display.

is this the base price on end of july?

Generally better, as last time they don’t “free” 3 years pro warranty, accident protection and extended battery warranty.

Also, all upgrades will be getting the 45% off too, thus it’s better to take up all upgrades that’s worthwhile (3500u, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD).

Bro.. I upgraded to 8 GB Ram, Upgrade to 1TB HDD, Full HD Display and added 256 SSD..
Final price came up to Rm2.6k after less CITI45. Good deal?
*
Just OK, nothing spectacular as the base selling price of E495 & E595 used to be under RM2.3k only. They artificially markup the price just so that those with CITI45 can lower it down.

Good deal?

If you’re taking the 400nits display, it’s a good deal as normal days the WWAN modem will cost RM400+. Under CITI45 it helps to lower down the price.

However, some words of cautions I read from the web. The 400 nits display tend to have a lower response time and might have some ghosting effects due to it. Nothing deal breaking if you’re not using it for gaming though, so you made you’re own decision here.

possible just select ssd and upgrade ourself with 7200rpm later in the future?

*
Should be yes. They will give a dummy HDD bay if you opt out the default HDD.

ic. not just WWAN, also some other thing. coz WWAN cost RM450 but it got extra 491. so got 1 RM41 dunno is what. but how come when i choose default display i can't see wwan?
*
WWAN and the IR webcam come in a package.

If you’re not selecting 400 nits display, select the IR webcam will force select the WWAN too.

*
400nits hands down, unless you’re bothered by the slow response time.

X395 lowest price ever now with CITI45

T495 on the other hand is only worthwhile at the moment (with CITI45) if you’re upgrading most of the stuffs (3500u, big size SSD, 300/400nits display).

Ya the most lower price so far u can get X395 premium specs

I found another interesting deal with CITI45 though.

Surprisingly this time round T590 is working with CITI45.

This make it the lowest priced Thunderbolt 3 laptop out there at RM2.5k++.

Thunderbolt 3? Sorry I dont understand the terms. This is a good buy?
Bro...for the display...multitouch means touchscreen? If i dont select this means no touchscreen? The backlit keyboard neccessary? I dont think  I will take the envidia GForce, I dont play much games also..
*
Thunderbolt 3, AKA the god of I/O port created by Apple+Intel. It is originally based on mini-display port, but later evolved to USB C.

That should be the next thing to be standardised in PC in near future. To date, it’s only typically found in laptop over RM4-5k in price.

Intel 10th gen CPU has it standardised and implemented in their chips, so expect its popularity to grow exponentially in future.

Anyone use Acer Nitro 5 with AMD processor and GPU?

The specs looks great and price pretty affordable, want to change my HP laptop to that next month.

Better topup a bit and get HP Pavillion 15 (i5+1050) or even better ASUS Tuf (3550H+1650).

she care about weight and size in her bag.. more than other thing, and she dont like bright screen.... last month buy another ryzen 3500u give his brother seems is fast in initial test but duno overall is ok or not... do u think can last 5-7-10 years for this laptop (x395), plan to buy as a gift....
*
Intel U chips back then are lapsap (even today’s U-series chips can still be quite lapsap sometimes, LOL).

Ryzen 3500u + NVME SSD are a huge jump in performance already. Also, she get a better keyboard + screen, so why not? LOL.

I will say please take the MX250 together if you’re getting T590.

Intel UHD 620 simply sucks too much even if you don’t plan to play games on it. Having a discrete GPU (MX250) will offload the stress on the CPU too.

Lastly, with CITI45, the price different with MX250 is just a tad over RM100. That’s a no brainer any time any day (most laptops out there will typically charge you >RM300-400 for adding a discrete GPU like MX250).

Alright... Means the T90 is a good buy no? Think I'm going to get that once I go through the options. Thanks.
*
If price is your concern, T590 is the best option out there as Lenovo didn’t markup it much like they did on T495.

With CITI45, the base specs price will be only RM2.6k+. Just need to change the screen + add MX250 and you’re pretty much good to go.

Other than that, as we discussed numerous times here before, X395 is on its all time low price at RM2.9k (for moderately specs) while T495 is also a viable choice with value if you want to max up all the specs.
