I5 also a tad better.

Most benchmarks put 3500u on par with last gen Intel i5 (8250u). Thus if compared to 8256u, the 8256u should have a slight lead over 3500u.

Yup, this the perfect deal.

But if you don’t feel like stretching over 3k, 256GB SSD is a good deal too since you can upgrade the SSD yourself later by yourself. Price differences are RM160.

Touch screen at RM100 is also a redundant features as most ppl won’t be using it most of the time. So it’s your choice whether the RM100 is worth as a backup in future just in case you will be using it.

I7 is problematic, don’t select it.

Since this i7 also 4C8T, nothing particularly groundbreaking even if you upgrade it.

But 14nm Intel power consumption is still typically better than 12nm AMD, LOL.

Wait for few more months 10nm Intel will reach market, that will have a more significant differences.

Actually AMD Ryzen Pro 3500U can handles many heavy softwares such as autodesk and design software as well as programming software.
AMD processor fan rarely to kick in, this is quiet, really feels like using ipad or those tablet.
Keyboard are nice, IPS 300nits are great colors also lightweight can carry everywhere if you wanna do presentation.
Ya, forget to add on an even 16gb onboard at 2400MHz Ram speed still feeling much better than my previous X1 Carbon 6th at 2133MHz only, at least multi tasking has not issue like X1 C6.

I love this machines so much 😍😍😍
I told myself my next laptop probably is AMD ThinkPad Again for the 3rd Gen or 4th Gen AMD APU.

Haha, temporary just forget I had my P1 Gen 2 workstation at home.

Vega 10 also barely enough for basic game like DOTO, LOL...

GPU is important not only when gaming but sometimes basic stuffs like browser and YouTube too requires some GPU juice.

I rather pay my moolah to HP/Lenovo/Illegear lower specs model, LOLOL.

HP gaming 15 do seems like a good all rounder this time, but I really don’t like the small uni-hinge design, don’t looks robust enough for long term use.

LENOVO Y530/540 have decent cooking performance, but again the extra overhang at the back of the hinge is not my cup of tea too.

Very specific.

Generally only AMD Ryzen models, with few exceptions for Intel.

Notable mention for Intel is X1 extreme g2 and T590. Though we can’t be sure what model will be in the list next citi45 sale.
