My TV is LG OLED C9, and it is support Dolby Vision. My Netflix is playback as Dolby Vision in this film.

LG OLED TV implement own proprietary HDR solution which process HDR signal dynamically frame by frame using enhanced dynamic tone mapping. This process make the normal HDR10 and Dolby Vision basically not much big differences.

It is very obvious Netflix version is less sharpen than the Criterion Collection.

To ensure not the Internet line issue affect the quality, I go find and download a 4K HDR copy, it is same less details than Criterion Collection also. They is more compression for Netflix version which probably impact the details and color.

My friend bought  the panasonic oled gz1000 which got hdr10+ & dolby vision. When playing the Alita battle angle 4k Bluray disc,  My friend & I  prefer the Hdr10+ more than dolby Vison, hdr 10+ look brighter & more natural.    Dolby vison not always is the winner when the disc got both format.

sad case bro.. its another gimmick to make manufacturer to buy the processing algorithm for them to make money.. its like Dolby atmos function in my phone..

immortal superheroes... the fighting scenes are OK but little else.
simple story, little CGI... but ending seems to point to a sequel.
main actress is charlize theron, the rest reather unknown. 2.5/5.

Lawrence of Arabia - Finally finish watch this, among all the classic movie release recently, this is the Top Restoration.
The output is unbelievable spectacular, wow! A Great Demo for classic film restoration in 4K HDR.

Movie - 4 Star.
Video Quality - 5 Star.
Audio Quality - 5 Star.

Wow! I totally forgot about Lawrence of Arabia until now.

Tumpang here, I not sure where to post. Just want to highlight Dolby Vision is manage to rip out already as Single Layer.

But so far only MrMC manage to playback as Dolby Vision in my TV.

Infuse said support but it still detect as HDR and from their forum, no one success playback as Dolby Vision.
Plex also not support.

can tell it cost a lot of money, the settings are nice, great colors and costumes... but little else.
u get to see a bit of jackie chan and arnold schwarzenegger. 2.5/5.

seems all are quiet recently.. let me bump this thread.. the movie i watched yesterday
another tom hanks movies.. i have high expectation on tom hanks movies.. this round he is not alone/deserted.
he is a captain of a warship and this is a true story of ww2.

storyline - simple and straight forward. I give 3 out of 5
picture quality - looks realistic i give 4 out of 5
sound quality - not sure if its my problem but its playing softly.. i m cranking my master vol to 70%. its a digital copy so DD+ for non atmos player even with atmos i believe is highly compressed audio signal. quite a number of lfe you can expect if you sub to flex the muscle. Sound wise i rate 3 out of 5 (non atmos).

Your sound is ok, but I think is time upgrade to 4K HDR.
