My TV is LG OLED C9, and it is support Dolby Vision. My Netflix is playback as Dolby Vision in this film.

LG OLED TV implement own proprietary HDR solution which process HDR signal dynamically frame by frame using enhanced dynamic tone mapping. This process make the normal HDR10 and Dolby Vision basically not much big differences.

It is very obvious Netflix version is less sharpen than the Criterion Collection.

To ensure not the Internet line issue affect the quality, I go find and download a 4K HDR copy, it is same less details than Criterion Collection also. They is more compression for Netflix version which probably impact the details and color.

Before I own LG C9, I am using value Panasonic EX600 which only support HDR10, that time I always wanted Dolby Vision because all review said how great Dolby Vision are, now do appear some said certain film in Dolby Vision is actually too dark compare with HDR10.

After own LG C9, I find Dolby Vision is nothing, I can't said it is gimmick as not all TV process HDR signal dynamically frame by frame using enhanced dynamic tone mapping. But LG did it and this make HDR10 also awesome. I really don't see Dolby Vision is that important anymore. Even Disney had removed all Dolby Vision in physical disc release. Haha!

My friend bought the panasonic oled gz1000 which got hdr10+ & dolby vision. When playing the Alita battle angle 4k Bluray disc, My friend & I prefer the Hdr10+ more than dolby Vison, hdr 10+ look brighter & more natural. Dolby vison not always is the winner when the disc got both format.

I don't have HDR10+ support in my TV, but this is not the first time I heard people said HDR10+ is better than Dolby Vision.

I set all my TV in Cinema mode except Dolby Vision in Cinema Home mode as it is too dark in Cinema mode. Haha!

I think Dolby Vision too emphasis in Cinema view where in total dark room but most people don't watch in total dark room.

Dolby vision is mastered at cinema Viewing ambiance, so hdr10+ is brighter but the deep black is cannot compare. They focus is on deep black. So this yr they come out with dolby vision IQ to suit ambient lighting. Just like cinema home setting if really nit picking, u get black is not pitch black. Hdr10+ also like tat. Ok la, diff ppl diff taste. But i can say is lg dynamic tone mapping is quite good that the hdr10 content is decent.

But so far only MrMC manage to playback as Dolby Vision in my TV.

Infuse said support but it still detect as HDR and from their forum, no one success playback as Dolby Vision.

My oh my! OMG! This show is shit! Bad Special Effect, so fake most of the time!
Lousy & stupid storyline! Some actor/actress is dubbing some more, faint. 2 Star! Yizz...

The only thing I like is the Dragon and that little cute "animal".

And this show got so many different name but I think "The Iron Mask: Mystery of the Dragon Seal" is the correct one as more suitable and also it is the name appear in the show. Worldwide name as "Journey to China: The Mystery of Iron Mask" is not that suitable at all.

Also main cover I put actually is the cover use in iTunes, I just remove the actor name only, and this is cheating! both is supporting role in this film.

seems all are quiet recently.. let me bump this thread.. the movie i watched yesterday
another tom hanks movies.. i have high expectation on tom hanks movies.. this round he is not alone/deserted.
he is a captain of a warship and this is a true story of ww2.

storyline - simple and straight forward. I give 3 out of 5
picture quality - looks realistic i give 4 out of 5
sound quality - not sure if its my problem but its playing softly.. i m cranking my master vol to 70%. its a digital copy so DD+ for non atmos player even with atmos i believe is highly compressed audio signal. quite a number of lfe you can expect if you sub to flex the muscle. Sound wise i rate 3 out of 5 (non atmos).

i like this greyhound, 3/5. thumbsup.gif

while it is mostly the submarine movies like hunt for red october, crimson tide, u571, das boot that get all the praises, we must not forget the destroyers are the vessels that sink these stealth subs! tongue.gif

really, i did find it a little distressing seeing how difficult it is for a destroyer to hunt and destroy a sub.

becos it is usually the wolves hunting the greyhounds!

audio... i had it in dd+, OK.

I just known Infuse is supporting dvhe 05.06 profile of Dolby Vision only, as another film in this version is detect as Dolby Vision.

The previous one is dvhe 04.06 and Infuse refuse detect it as Dolby Vision.

MrMC wise both version is support and working.

Anyone know any tools can convert dvhe 04.06 to dvhe 05.06?

Appreciate much if you known can PM me. Thanks a lot.

Dolby Vision simply so complicated!
