I think the oP distribution network has short term contract that's why keep changing

Yeah, most probably. Anyways, I'm not convinced buying a MY set is better than buying an AP set given their (XF) relative inexperience and limited number of service centres. Can just buy from a reputable retailer with a service centre.

yea i remember when i was using OP5T for about 2 weeks, it was a well known distributor in malaysia. i think it was bright star or something.

anyway, does it make any difference if i buy original import set?

thinking to get import set to save cost if there's no difference tongue.gif
*
Ya, except for the additional year of warranty, I think buying an original import set from a reputable retailer like DirectD or Mobile 2 Go would probably give you more bang for buck.

What makes you jump to Android?

Nevertheless, you made the right choice. thumbsup.gif

It might take time some to adapt to Android, because you are so used to Apple ecosystem.

Bought at your own risk as it is hard to say since all products have lemons.

there is no difference on the phone. except model number. the actual different will be in term of warranty. even then i think someone said XF still accept AP phone but you have to pay vs free for their MY set.

Welcome on board! No worries, the phone is good enough to last 3-4 years minimum smile.gif

Yeah, I'd have gone for an AP set too except this was my first experience owning a OnePlus so decided to go with local official set. Plus the price difference between the AP and official set for the base 6/128 model is not that big.

Saw on Facebook OnePlus(XianFeng) offer free one time screen replacement for all oneplus devices purchased after 1st August. But now I can't find back the post already.
Seems pretty unfair for early adopters, which should be the ones getting such promotion. What is XianFeng actually doing Jesus.

I got my so called pre-order set from them later than walk in customers at retail outlets, so yeah, that doesn't surprise me laugh.gif

they should at least let us purchase the promotion at an affordable price, one time screen replacement warranty for one year for less than RM100. That would be a decent deal.

Physical store got less discount than online, and less voucher. Discount usually around festive event like Christmas or Raya, also when grand opening like Mobile2Go Seremban branch opening yesterday.

Ironically my experience with the OnePlus is pretty similar to my experience with the iPhone - it’s fast, smooth, stable, reliable - and starting to get a little boring laugh.gif

That said, I do appreciate the point and shoot photos of the iPhone a little more due to the more real life colour reproduction.
