actually why it uses the word contactless rather than paywave? is paywave a subset of contactless?

Paywave is trademark for Visa.
Contactless is a generic term.

Paywave is reserved for Visa.
Mastercard, Amex and Unionpay cannot use this term.
But QV is a Visa.

How you pay DBKL bill?

If after 1/9/19, amount less than RM250?

previously I paid using my maybank cc.. but their t&c has revised..

I called CS. Cannot increase RM250 limit for wave. It’s a security feature and it’s fixed.

I thought this is predefined by BNM framework.
Any amount beyond RM 250 using contactless should trigger a PIN input in order for the transaction to go ahead.

So using QUANTUM VISA contactless n pin to swipe rm500 from 1Sep can get the card feature 5% CB and also considered as qualifying for the spend rm300/500 campaign?

Technically yes as contactless is not considered as online.

Mine is already RM500 limit. On top of that there’s RM250 limit for wave.

the RM250 limit is at most for per transaction, can't change, RM500 is the accumulate limit for pin reset after reach
