Just received latest statement and noticed that MYEG seem like not entitled for 5% cash back from PBB Quantum MasterCard  hmm.gif
*
interesting finding.. it was entitled for QMC CB during last December.. looks like they updated the MCC code to exclude it already..

I mean if spend RM100 and get 3%, then it should be rebate RM3. Am I right?
How comes the Affin FAQ write rebate RM2?? Hmm.. Again my Maths fail again?? laugh.gif

I believe that is just the example for when the cash back will be credited to your card.
The FAQ should be rushed for completion.

Hi all, I just got a mortgage loan with PBB, it comes with PB Quantum cards as well, plan to use those since got cash rebates on touchless and online payment.

My question is how to link the mortgage and CC accounts to my existing PBe account? I don't see the Add card option. Tried this also: https://www.pbebank.com/forms/form-pbebank-registration.aspx it said I'm already an existing user.

Tried email to their customer service, no reply also. Help pls.

For add CC into existing PBe account
Profile maintenance > manage profile > add/delete account > add

Hi , May I know why do you need to reset pin after used the wave ? I dont understand . If I got this card , I need to reset pin everytime after I use paywave? What is that for?
*
QUOTE(BeastX @ Nov 20 2020, 06:12 AM)
To be specific/precise.... it's inserting the PIN to reset the transaction count. There's a limit to the number of swipes you can make...
*
QUOTE(cybpsych @ Nov 17 2020, 01:04 PM)
one word: SECURITY

paywave gives the flexibility of payment without verifying YOU as the owner.

now imagine you lose your card (unknowingly) and someone picked it up and go shopping spreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ... wave RM250 and below, wave everywhere, up until your CL depleted ... you dont know that's happening until checking internet banking (1-2 days later) or statement (maybe 1 month later)

what do you think the PIN reset is for?

by doing a PIN reset, YOU need to personally initiate the transaction by ENTERING a PIN. by doing this, bank guesses that YOU are actually holding the card, not lost or misplaced somewhere and (unauthorized) used by someone else.

this is risk mitigation. it cant solve all, but it reduces/mitigates the risks arised from being "flexible" at the first place.
separately, there are few limits controlled by the bank host (system)...

1) count of paywave txn count, maybe per day/week/month, and/or
2) count of paywave txn amount, maybe per day/week/month, and/or
3) count of continuous paywave transaction (velocity check), and/or
4) many more variations banks can enforce

by doing a PIN reset, you are basically "reporting yourself" to the bank that "you are present".

If I use the quantum card to buy an iphone and pay by installment for 12 months , do I still get the cash back ?
*
Few question first
1) use QMC buy an iPhone from where/which platform?
2) installment by PBB flexi-pay? The shop own installment plan? Shopee installment?

ZIIP merchants is more extensive than those sent out in emails.
As long as the merchant holds a PB terminal, ZIIP plan is possible; example SenQ/Sen Heng, Harvey Norman etc.
*
Since you mentioned this, wanted to ask, did you really found/use ZIIP plan for those merchant you mentioned? Do they still charged you any one time handling feee?
From my place (JB), all the merchant you mentioned charges 2%~5% one time handling fee for converting to ZIIP, which is weird...
Was planned to buy a laptop about 6k with ZIIP, but when heard the one time handling fee stuff, cancel my plan. If 5% of 6k means 300 siall..

I thought got processing fees only. Many years ago bought a camera with ambank cc with 0% but got one time processing fees around RM60 (or RM80, can't remember).
*
Oh ya it's called "processed fee", i keep remember calling it "one time handling fee".. same stuff imo, hahaha

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Dec 1 2020, 10:29 PM)
I think Harvey Norman has no handling fee.
I heard SenQ/Sen Heng got handling fee.

I'm not a fan of ZIIP.
Last time, PB Quantum cards got 0% FlexiPay which is more handy than ZIIP.
*
Well, dunno how it works..
Harvey Norman Southkey Midvalley JB and SenHeng Tebrau City both charge one time processing fee. They even print out a table for all the cc bank they support and how much % they charged.. lol
QV now charges 1% one time fee, which is still better than their rate, just that it's fixed at 12 months, while those merchant ZIIP can go up to 36 months.
