anyone knows what's the max amount limit for contactless payment?
*
For wave is up to RM 250.
Beyond RM 250, PIN authentication should be triggered.

This would be a noob question but lets say I wave for a RM700 transaction and it trigger the pin authentication. At the end of the day will the charge be counted as wave or just pin and not get the cashback?
*
Wave (first) + PIN authentication (after and card is not slotted in) will be treated as contactless transaction

If benefits revision comes, all will flock to Affin Duo/Trio.

PBB has been quiet on new campaigns. Maybe they don't dare to do multiple campaigns at one do already.
*
They should have learnt their lesson with the influx of heavy traffic demanding explanation of the "missing" campaign cash back.

P/S: Got back GREAT SAVINGS CASH BACK-MTH 1. Thanks, God! Can buy nasi lemak for 2 weeks.

But Affin don't really offer attractive usage campaigns, I feel a bit reluctant to cancel/reduce PB's, Maybank's, StanChart's credit cards and switch to Affin. Hmm...
*
Maybe they change their strategy with the Duo cards.

Well, different people different consumption usage/pattern.

Just keep whichever best for you.

FYI, I don't apply for the Duo cards too as I have no more rooms for usage.

Saved card in TNG ewallet  is also direct debit iirc.

CIMB also categorized bigpay as direct debit / financial services. I wonder whether will have impact.
*
But direct debit has no specific MCC assigned.

From JOP, auto-billing or direct debit is defined as:

QUOTE
Auto bill comprises of recurring bill payment from Insurance, Telco and Utilities which is determined by us as follow.
i. Customer to register card details for auto billing at eligible merchant; and
ii. Card details is manually entered (not swiped/inserted to any POS Terminal of Acquiring Bank); and
iii. Transaction is tag as standing order / recurring order; and
iv. No POS terminal is used; and
v. Transactions are in local currency (Malaysia Ringgit); and
vi. Merchant is not an e-commerce/online/internet merchants; and

Not sure how PB is going to define/classify direct debit transaction.

OT: I noticed that Aeon Supermarket/Departmental cashiers are now having 2 card machines, Maybank and Aeon Credit. The Cashier may use any one of 2 machines. So MCCs for Aeon Supermarket/Departmental at Aeon Credit machines are unknown yet!
*
Correct. The Aeon Credit terminal is using merchant description Aeon Co.

Hmm.. the direct debit issue i am confused
So if we top up BigPay with PB Quantum Mastercard without saving the card can eligible for the Cashback ?
*
In my humble opinion, each BigPay top up will trigger for OTP input. Thus, I don't think it will be considered as direct direct.
Further more, BigPay MCC is either Financial Services and/or Telco.

Now I know why, problem is no credit history I think. No loan no CC before so bank cannot assess me. Any tips to get my first card approve in this kind of situation?
*
Normally you are encouraged to build credit history and apply a credit card from the bank where your drawing salary goes into.
The chance of approval is higher.

Quantum Visa is for almost every except those under exclusion; must be Wave and min amount of RM 30.

Quantum Visa is only meant for contactless unless you pay at Kedai Tenaga using Wave.

Every bank operates differently; you need to read and understand the respective bank credit card benefits and exclusion list.

And also, credit card benefit and campaign/contest T&C could be differ too.

based on the list,i think should be no issue....  hmm.gif

nvm....might as well reload e-wallet for the double reward campaign n try a month for the online tnb payment....
if no cashback, then going to cut the card  tongue.gif
*
If you use Quantum Mastercard to pay for TNB bill online at TNB portal and/or myTNB app, you'll get cash back.

It doesn't fall into the exclusion list.

I have been paying TNB bills using that card at myTNB app.

Hi, want to ask that, for PBB Quantum cards, the cashback is based on statement period right? and the cashback will automatically credit following month like maybank barcelona or need redeem like 2 months later? thank you
*
1. Cash back is based on statement month
2. Automatically credited on statement date.
