for ewallets, all of them. for tng ewallet, dont save the card inside.

hopefully Public Islamic card not impacted, yet

I just applied for a set of the cards 2 weeks back


also have emailed PB CS to clarify 2 questions:

1) list of ewallets excluded

2) impact to Public Islamic cards



my guess is based on statement date, cuz that's when cb is being credited.

"ewallet" wording was shown in PDS before? i dont recall seeing it anwhere in PDS though.

can share which copy was that?

should assume this is also categorized as "ewallet" since it can store $$ in a virtual wallet; irrespective to approved ewallet by BNM or not.

cc pass-through app like FavePay, maybe (?) not impacted since it does not store $$ inside.



since PB explicitly mentioned "Any transactions that involve reloading a certain amount into a virtual wallet will be considered as e-wallet reload transactions."...

3 ways they can do this:

1) automatically via MCC detection which is MCC 6540: POI (POINT OF INTERACTION) FUNDING TRANSACTIONS (EXCLUDING MONEYSEND). negligible resources required since each txn already tagged with MCC. Filtering is faster. Cover potential "future ewallets", which i guess using MCC 6540 as the identifier.

2) manually via blacklisting a list of descriptions of any "ewallets" that they deemed are storing $$ from cc reloading. manual resource to update periodically especially new ones popping up

3) combination of #1 and #2

who knows, maybe PB got some other clever & creative ways to do this exclusion
